View 1 RepliesI'm using version 7, I'm trying to create a curled paper effect then paste an image on the "paper". A couple of web sites suggested creating a rectangle then create a path or something like that and then using the pen tool and the "handles" manipulate the corners. I'm not sure if I have the terminology correct but the problem is that when I create the rectangle and go to add the path (the icon looks like a circle with handles on it) it's grayed out and can not be selected and manually creating a path with the pen tool doesn't work.

I would like to create a background paper like you see here:
I've tried every combination of bevel/emboss in the layer style with inner glow, outer glow, drop shadows added, but I can't get close to the example. Maybe the layer style of bevel/emboss is not the starting point.
I created the torn paper effect on a screen print using CS5.
How can I use this same modified image to create a mask that I can use on other screen prints?
I have a banner heading that is more or less outlined text. I want to give all the corners a rounded corner and at the moment would just do it all by hand, one at a time. So I want to go from a to b:
But I would like to find an easy way to make all corners the same diameter regardless of the angle too.
Is these a way to replicate the graph paper too in CorelDraw - it makes it super-fast to divide a page up into X number of colums etc. I cant find this in Xara.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI draw square. The 1st point and last points are left-top and finally set 5 points. The direction is clock-wise and made closed path.To get smooth-curved polygon shape, I used API 'PointsToCurves'.But, the first and last points are connected by cornered (not smooth) point. Here's result.
Maybe, I must set that square is closed path, to API, but it seems to be no parameter to set.So, I want to know how to get smooth corner shape every corner.I use SDK CS5.
I would like to get the torn paper effect in PS2.
Let me explain what I am trying to do. I have a photo of a large sunflower which I have completed post production on, sized, color corrected, retouched, and, ready to print 12" x 18" on my Epson printer.
Now, I want to make a more artistic version by "tearing" a dupe into several sections of various sizes and manipulate the colors in each section.
I want to then layer each section over corresponding area of the original photo and flattening the image into one.
The tears do not need to be "jagged." However, some will be squares, rectangular and other shapes.
I am useing a Canon Pro 9000 MKII and when I try to print 11x14 paper, it will not alow custom paper size. The Canon printer driver does have custom size but it does not show up in printer settings.

the corner part.
I'm using oldschool 7 version and I'm very happy with it for my little needs. I'm trying to make something that is probably very simple for an expert:
As you can see the corner is fading gradually into white... while shrinking also in width (passes from 2px to 1px width).
This is probably a simple question, but how do I round to corner of an image?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to add a Corner Anchor Point to an exisiting path. The Add Anchor Point tool always creates a smooth point, which I then have to go back and convert to a corner point. Seems to me, in earlier versions, I was able to use the Pen tool, then hold ALT and click twice to achieve this. CS6 doesn't respond to that procedure. Is there some other trick?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI know just enough to get by in Photoshop but have had zero training, so I tend to jimmy rig everything until it looks okay. I am stumped on this one though.
I bought a web template and am modifying the images to what I need them to be. I can not for the life of me figure out how they did this rounded corner and shadowing on the corner. I can easily, manually copy the two lines going up the sides of the image. (Jimmy rig) ... but I can't seem to get the corner to look right.
I know it looks like a drop shadow, but you'd need to know all the colors and exact settings to copy that drop shadow and all i have is the finished product.

The image is on it's own layer so I thought the easiest way was to use "Stroke" in "Layer Styles". But when I do this the corners are always rounded off. I have tried changing the brush styles, but I always get a round corner.
