I have a banner heading that is more or less outlined text. I want to give all the corners a rounded corner and at the moment would just do it all by hand, one at a time. So I want to go from a to b:
But I would like to find an easy way to make all corners the same diameter regardless of the angle too.
I draw square. The 1st point and last points are left-top and finally set 5 points. The direction is clock-wise and made closed path.To get smooth-curved polygon shape, I used API 'PointsToCurves'.But, the first and last points are connected by cornered (not smooth) point. Here's result.
Maybe, I must set that square is closed path, to API, but it seems to be no parameter to set.So, I want to know how to get smooth corner shape every corner.I use SDK CS5.
Im using Photoshop CS and whenever I highlight something in a picture using the patch tool or something else I dont know how to get rid of the highlighted area after Im done.
P.S Are there any good FREE Photoshop video tutorials on the net? Or is there anyone of you I could add to MSN messenger and ask for tips and tricks?
I am looking at an image that I'd like to color manage... it's a tif image. No choices are highlighted so I can' t choose anything... nothing under filter, select is highlighted..
I found this excellent tutorial on how to change shadows, etc. It included the ability to change the amount, the tonal width and the radius, BUT, I cannot find it in my PS 7.
In CS 6, when I go to "File" > "Browse in Bridge" on the drop down menu, "Browse in Mini Bridge" is always highlighted in blue, along with "Import" and "Automate" and "Scripts". Other options including "Browse in Bridge" are available, but not highlighted in blue.
Is there any way to remove the highlight on these options, (but NOT remove the options) ?
how to get rid of the hightlight around a shape when it's selected. In cs4, if you selected a shape in the layer panel, it would highlight around the shape, but if you clicked the shape twice, the highlight would go away. The layer would still be selected, but it wouldnt have the dark line around the shape.
I do a ton of design with photoshop and whenver I try and drop the opacity on a 1px line, I can't see the difference b/c of the dark outline on the line since it's selected. I have to change the opacity, select another layer so I can actually see the line, then select the line again and rinse and repeat until I am satisfied.
on my Photoshop cs3 some of the selections are highlighted with blue as shown by this picture
Before a few days ago those were highlighted purple. Is there ANY way that I could change those colors to my own choice or is it something to do with Photoshop or maybe my system preferences?
I have extracted some images in PS. I had to go Adjustments>Shadow/Highlight to be able to see the outline properly, as the background was too close in color to the actual photo.
Now, how do I get it back to the original? I mean, after extracting it and saving as a psd, is there a way you can undo the Shadow/Highlight?
Now with PSP it was very easy to take a screen shot and highlight a button or area on the image by drawing a hollow circle or oval and set the border color and width.
I am struggling to find the best way to achieve this in Photoshop?
i'm trying to emulate the shadow and highlight on this apple icon:-
i am trying to create this shadow on text, so have tried the various drop shadows, inner and outer shadows, glows etc but to nothing resembling the shadow / highlights on this icon.
Today I purchased Photoshop Elements 12, went through the installation process, and it should be ready to begin editing. However, whenever I attempt to open Photoshop, nothing happens. My OS is Windows 7; I click the icon onmy taskbar, and the cursor shows that it is loading, the icon is highlighted, but then the loading symbol stops and the icon highlight disappears. When I attempt to open a file using PSE, the loading banner appears, but shortly thereafter, I receive an alert saying "Photoshop Elements 12 Editorhas stopped working" and under it, it says "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available" and the only available option it "Close program." I had this exact issue with PSE 7, and figured that purchasing an updated version might fix this problem. Evidently, I was mistaken. This is a very serious issue, as I am a graphic designer (creating logos, posters, programs, etc) and use Photoshop for this purpose. I have been using Elements for years, but only recently has this problem arisen. This is, of course, infuriating, as I have paid $70 for a program that doesn't even work.
I brought an image into my photoshop cs6. I created a second layer and put a yellow region on top of the text I want to highlight. made that layer on top with an opacity of 50. it just does not look right. It kills the black text underneath. How can I make what most simple paint programs do to highlight an area of my screen.
This is driving me mad, new to CS5 but have used various other programs with mask feature, I can select a quick mask with the colour set to white and black, on the black it will highlight in Red no problem but on the white it won't hight light in green, it does remove any red but won't hightlight in green for an area I want to keep.
I was trying to make the whites of the eye whiter by creating a quick mask and highligting the whites in green (so with the white colour selected) and then adjusting the levels for the selected area but it just won't work.
On a many layered photo, I used to be able to highlight a layer by touching it, so I could edit the layer. Now I can't highlight the layer unless I scroll down on the layers tool on the side bar. This is hard to do with some of my larger projects.
I'm on CS5. I have a photo, and I want to highlight the central portion of this using a custom shape - let's say a star. When I do this I can work with the shape.
I don't want to work with the shape, I want it to be there, but the image inside the shape I want to remain visible. Then round the edges of the shape I want to add borders (?Stroke) of colors selected from the image. Obviously I don't want to hand draw the shape because I won't make it symmetrical.
So, once I've chosen my shape, how can I work outside the shape, whilst still retaining visibility inside the shape?
I have Elements 9. When I hold shift key and right click to highlight a thumbnail picture, nothing happens. I can't grab several to highlight in order to edit in a batch. Not even one alone, will highlight.
It does not matter if I shift and click left or right, the selection will not highlight in order to move to edit or to delete. It just stopped suddenly.
How do I make a corner sash (flash) with Avalable Now! text along it. It would also be nice if it had a bit of a wiggle in it to make it look a bit more realistic.
