I have an image that loads every time I startup Photoshop CS6. I delete it and work on other images then quit. When I restart the same image opens upon startup even though I have not worked on it and I have deleted it. How do I stop this from happening?
I've been using CS3. Without un-installing CS3, I installed CS6 actually both 64bit & 32bit. I had several problems when running. For example, images often were not completely visible after loading part of the image shown as transparent. I could duplicate the layer & all was ok, with both the new & original layers. This hasn't been a major problem, but is a nuisance & indicates that something is not right. Several features even cause "Photoshop CS6 has stopped working". I could always fall back to CS3 when a problem cropped up, altho' it was a pain having to save so often.  I deactivated CS6 and uninstalled (via Control Panel). I then re-installed, installed updates & re-activated . same problem when images load. I just re-installed, so I haven't had a chance to test other things.Â
I create or load an image it is always darker than it is actually supposed to be. When I go to save a created image, it will always be lighter. What I want to know is how to make the image on the screen the same color as when I save it to my computer.
Example: I was following a tutorial to create a banner and when I finished (without saving) it turned out like this. Now, the image from the tutorial is actually suppose to look like this when finished. Then, after I saved the image it looked like how it was suppose to look.
problem with loading large numbers of images, not large images, but a lot of images in VS11. I am loading a lot of images to make my annual slide show for the HS band and I am running into a problem where the images start loading quickly (1 second each) and after about 150-200 images you start to load slower and slower as much as 70 seconds on image #300). I don't remember having this issue with VS9, which is what I used last year.
I tried loading the same thing in VS10 and it is much better on the load. There is a recognizable slow down, but nothing like VS11. Before you ask, I would be fine with doing the slide show in VS10, but running in Vista VS10 crashes on me too much to get it done.
I have been successfully using Lightroom 4 for several weeks (and the Beta version before that), but today, after downloading the Nik Software Viveza plug in, when I tried to open LR, none of my images were there, and when I clicked on a module, I received an error message saying there was an error trying to change modules. Not sure what to do. I've uninstalled Viveza, but that did not fix the problem. I've rebooted many time, that also didn't solve this issue. I also tried opening a backup from yesterday, but that doesn't work either. I use a MacBook Pro and am running Lion.  I'm thinking I may want to uninstall LR 4 and reinstall..
If I have an image within in an XREF (lets say logo in a titleblock), when I open my drawing I get a image frame with the file path listed in its place. If I print, it only prints the frame and file path.
The way that this is fixed (temporarily) is If I reload the xref and image for each xref containing an image. Upon reopening the drawing, the same problem persists. I need to reload the xref/image every time I open the file if I want the logo to print on my drawing.
I'm going through older photos that were edited elsewhere and then added to my catalogue as DNGs while I was using Lightroom 4. Now as I go back, they are not loading correctly with my edits, but they were on Lightroom 4. Did something happen during the upgrade? Or is there a way to get them to register my edits?
I have added a few custom autocad commands that are specific to my scenario. I created Ribbon (and Menu for classic mode) for these commands and they are working fine. The only issue is that these Buttons (Ribbon and Menu for classic mode) are not loading the images(icons). All I get is a cloud image for both commands.
I have used 16X16 for small image and 32X32 for large image. Both are bmp files. These are attached to the custom  Autocad command that I am using. The commands themselves are working fine, except for the image which is not displayed. In short, what can be the possible reason for images not showing up?
I have a series of PNG images which have been authored from various sources, but mostly with Gimp. The images have transparent backgrounds and use partial transparency effects like drop shadow, etc. I want to display these on a bitmap layer of the TImage32 component from Graphics32.
I have dropped a TImage32 component onto my form, with the intention being to set the visibility to off, and use the TImage32 as a container for the PNG image I want to draw on the layer.
When I go to load the image at design-time, the dialog has two tabs - it allows me to load the RGB image, and the alpha channel, and I don't know how to produce these - I prouce the image by using the export to PNG function of Gimp. If I load the exported PNG into both the RGB channel and the alpha channel the resulting image doesn't have the transparent background. There obviously must be a procedure I need to follow to get Gimp to produce both the RGB and alpha channels.
my animation takes around two seconds to load within my browser. Is there a way to display a loading symbol such as spinning circle, that will show the animation is loading, then disappear once it is ready to display?
I'm currently working on a site which is almost 95% complete. The loading time for the site is approx 7-10 seconds which seems to be slow. I have placed a preloader but that doesn't seem to be coming up while the site is loading. Â Is there anyway to speed up the loading time. Like some code that will tell it load specific number of frames first and then load the rest in the background? Â I have compressed the images that are being used but cannot compress further as they may lose the quality.I've got the preloader working and now it seems to be showing up while the site is loading. Is there any way to speed up the loading time.
try to load Photshop 7, it goes through all the preliminaries and then the screen goes blank. thinking it was a program fault, I have reinstalled but all to no avail. What other fault could it be? I know it's getting on, as is the desktop,
Win 7 system. Fresh installation of CS6 from DVD. I did not install the beta previously. Photoshop CS6 64-bit loads and ACR imports images but Bridge in CS6 does not seem to load. I get the message "Waiting for Bridge CS6 ..." but nothing happens. I do still have CS5 installed but since CS5 works, I do not want to uninstall that to take a chance on CS6.
Photoshop CC is loading slow. I dont have much loaded.I am running it with MagicPicker 3, it wont save the tool the way I left it. Digital Heavens tool panel (easy to run actions)AD_Artbox, that now wont run the tools - panel to run actions. It did before the update.
I'm trying to get my magazine ad to match the original as close as possible. The first ad I placed came back muddy and dark. So I had the magazine contact the printer they use to get an ICC profile for me that I could load as the working color space in photoshop to prepare my file. Im I doing the right thing here? Is my solution loading the same working color space as the printer and then prepare my file to get a more accurate print?
Assuming that this was my fix I installed the ICC profile they sent me and when I went to "Load" that profile from the "Color Settings" dialog window and surfed to the folder I saved the profile in it doesn't show up. At the bottom of the "Load" dialog window there is a "Files of Type" drop down arrow and the only two file types listed are .CSF and .PSP. No .ICC file type there.
i just upgraded from 7 to CS...looks good and would like to keep using it. Only problem is whenever i try to open my .psd files created in 7, i'm giving the message:
"Could not complete your request because the layer is not a valid text layer"
Is there anyway to overcome this, as i need to access all of last years work. I only changed to CS as when 7 finished loading the fonts in the startup screen, it would jump back to windows and close PS?
Hi, I've been sent the BETA version of CS4 and when it loads now I get a message saying "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, please reinstall the missing components."
I've been developing a script that uses 2 selections saved in a PSD file and have created various files with the selections saved while testing things. I would select an area in a tif, choose Save Selection from the Select menu and the dialog that displays allows me to name the selection into a new document. Select an area in a 2nd document, do the same thing and the dialog defaults to the same file into which the previous selection was saved. Worked great, many times. Earlier, however, I was all of sudden unable to save the two selections into the same document. When I created the two selections in separate documents and dragged a channel from one document to the other (to create the 1 doc with the 2 selections) Photoshop would then not allow me to load selections at ALL. Now, everything seems to be working as it should! I don't THINK I've changed anything and some of the files I used unsuccessfully earlier just worked!
I originally had CS and upgraded to CS2 which I have used happily for the past 3 years. My computer went down recently and I have a ne replacement laptop w, ith Vista installed.I loaded CS2 and everything went well until I went to use it. Firstly a registration window appeared asking me to register ( I have already registered though? Whatever I do with the registration scrren I am then directed to an activation window where I am advised that I do not have user rights, I then click OK (the only option) and CS2 closes down.I have tried reloading the software etc and have loaded my original CS.
I open my CS2 and try to open an image, the image does not display in my work area but it displays in my layers menu, nav menu, etc... Is there a setting that was accidentaly changed or did something else happen. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
When I try to load up PS 7.0, it gets as far as "Initializng color preferences," and then just blinks off. I've rebooted and re-installed the prog, with no success.
(Obviously, or I wouldn't be here, yes?)
My ImageReady loads up fine, so I tried the "jump to" command to bring an image over to PS.
I get a response that it cannot jump because "Photoshop is not responding."
I just got PSCS4 after having previous versions back to PS6. I'm trying to load my plug-ins (such as those from Flaming Pear) but the program doesn't recognize them. I've re-downloaded all of them to make sure they're compatible, dropped them into the filters file, and checked the file path in preferences to make sure it's correct. When I open the program, only the default filters appear. None of the outside vendor filters will load.
I open any kind of file or when I create a new file it takes Photoshop at least 30 secs to open or create the file. I also have PS installed on another computer (with the same specs) where I don't have this problem.
why it takes PS so long to open/create files? I'm using a laptop with a Core 2 Duo processor and 2GB of DDR2 ram.
