Lightroom :: Does Not Respond When Downloading Photos From Camera Using USB Connection
Feb 15, 2012I am running windows 7 pro 64 bit. Whenever I try to download photos from my camera into lightroom using usb connection, lightroom stops working and wont respond. This is happening since Adobe removed lightroom 4 beta from my system.

May 10, 2009Just got a Space Navigator the other day, pulled it out of the box all excited that i would be able to rotate models about the center of the camera, which would allow me to get into really tight spots, rotate the model and not have other parts of the model move in front of the camera, therefore blocking my view of what i was trying to see. So out it comes, all software loaded, inventor is open with a tidy structural assembly sittign there waiting to be manipulated by my new shiny toy, and uh no. CAN'T ROTATE ABOUT THE CAMERA! AARRGGGH. right bummer.
I'm pretty sure its an Inventor problem since i know for a fact that you can rotate about the center of the camera usign this device in 3ds max. The 3D navigation tools in inventor are crap anyway, the feature of being able to rotate about camera center should be native in inventor.
using any of 3D connexions devices in Inventor and maybe they have a work around for this. I'm pretty sure i read somewhere that with practice people have been able to 'fly' down pipes in Inventor. But my experience so far would mean that once you get to a bend in the pipe and you rotate the view, you would just rotate yourself straight out of the pipe.
After Effects :: Track Camera Unable To Obtain Dynamic Link Server Connection
Apr 8, 2014This has been hit and miss. I am now consistenly getting a dynamic link server connection trying to use Track camera in After Effects.

I have enabled all the recommended programs through my firewall. I see the dynamiclink server is running in my task manager, I have closed all other programs, no antivirus, I have restarted my computer, no luck with this.
Also to add additional information:
It seems that when I try to do replace with After Effects composition in Premiere Pro I am getting error: The importer reported a generic error
and also when I first launch After effects I am getting a failure to load a few plugins from CineForm including importer

so i tried to install the update.... installed it fine, kept getting the same message when i would try to open the photo. after researching online i found the suggestion of uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop elements. i did that once, tried the update again...same results. uninstalled again. tried the update again and still getting the same message. ive checked the adobe website and everywhere i look says the version of the camera raw DOES support my camera (nikon D7100).

In this instruction, he takes images into Camera RAW and selects a tab called Profile, and it automatically detected the camera from metadata and made corrections.
I was sold, subscribed to Adobe Cloud, downloaded Photoshop and started following his tutorial. When I got to the lens correction part, my Camera RAW has no Profiles tab. Brown does say that you need the latest version, but I have assumed that since I just subscribed and downloaded, that I have that.

Photoshop :: Internet Connection
May 29, 2009regarding Photoshop CS3. Whenever I import a photo into Photoshop it locks up for about 20 seconds then the picture shows up. I opened up the task manager and it shows that during the 20 second lockup period my PC is sending data through the Internet. Once I disconnect from my network and try to import a photo it loads instantly. So my question is why is Photoshop transferring data whenever I import a photo? Is there anyway to disable whatever it is doing so it does not lock up?

Sep 11, 2013I have had my second activation of Photoshop CS 5 on a backup computer that has no internet connection. I needed to change the operating system (Windows 7 Home to Windows 7 Professional). I called up Adobe, and told the technician that I was de-activating CS 5, reformatting the hard drive, then I was going to re-activate Photoshop. He gave me a case number so that the next technician could easily understand what I was doing and what I needed.
The first time I installed Photoshop on this backup computer, I contacted Customer Service. The technician had me do several things to get to an activation screen. I gave him both the serial number and an installation code. He then used them to generate a unique activation code, which I typed in to activate Photoshop. I had Photoshop on that computer, working, for a year.
I called on August 30, after the re-formatting and installing the new operating system, I called Customer Service to get re-activating Photoshop.
The first technician said I could not reactivate Photoshop. The second technician said it could be done, but not at his level and he would escalate the case, and someone would call me.After no calls, I tried again on 09/05. I was transferred to the manager. He said it could not be done, but he would escalate the case to the "expert team," and that someone from that team would call me "tomorrow" (09/06).
Along the way, one technician said I did not need to reactivate Photoshop because when I called about deactivating Photoshop, that technician assigned a special number that would obviate the need to reactivate. How did my computer, off-line, and my software, on a proprietary disk, know that number?

I have tried to disable it so I can reactivate it on my current computer but internet access is required to fully deactivate. Mar 3, 2004I recently purchased a new computer (PC) with a Windows XP OS. I needed to reload Photoshop 6.0, which I was using on my previous computer (Windows 98SE). Everything seemed OK, except that I could no longer import images from my scanner through Photoshop. If I select "import" in the file menu, instead of showing my Canon scanner as the TWAIN destination, it merely shows "annotations."
Now...After encountering this problem, I downloaded and installed the update for Photoshop 6.0 and installed it. I also downloaded from the Adobe site a Plug-In update. This, I thought, would probably fix the problem. And it did...sort of.
I installed the updates as instructed, opened Photoshop, and still my scanner was not showing up.
Then at some point I inadvertently clicked on one of the plug-in downloads mentioned above...a plug-in.dll file. When I did that, Photoshop immediately opened and the scanner was there! So, I created a shortcut to the file on my desktop. If I click on it, the program will open up and I can scan through Photoshop. If I open Photoshop using the regular icon on the desktop, though the program will seem to work normally in every other respect, I does not recognize my scanner.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Studio Camera Animation - Camera Rolling On Selected Path
Jun 2, 2010For some reason when using the path option in inventor studio for camera animation the camera rolls for no reason?? I have created two helical curve sketches around my product, the outer curve is the path for the camera and the inner curve is the path for the target. Both curves are the same height and have 1 revolution. When i play the camera it works out fine untill it hits 1/4 of the way through and suddenly flips 180 degrees so now the camera is upside down, once it hits 3/4 of the way it flips back again to the correct rotation. If i dont create an inner curve for the target and place the target directly in the centre of my product with no path to follow the camera spins all over the place when it follows the curve.

Nov 25, 2008I shoot photos with a Nikon D2X and my wife uses a Nikon D70. If I open a D70 raw file, and then go to camera calibration, the profiles available are for various standard profiles and D2X profiles. The D70 profiles do not show in the drop down list. All of the profiles have been downloaded, from Adobe, and installed.
If I open a D2X raw file, the standard and D2X profiles are shown in the dropdown box.
Have I missed something in the installation? Do the profiles have to be loaded somehow?

When trying to use them, an error message pops up saying "No internet connection detected." I have checked my plugin settings in preferences to make sure plugins are allowed to use connections, and have tried editing the registry values in Windows to make sure that all Adobe products automatically connect to the internet, but still have had no luck. I am trying to get the text to only move when the camera moves such as a pan or a hand held shake, making it look like it's part of the environment. It will track with the camera and looks great until my talent /subject moves, then the text moves with the subject. What am I doing wrong in my tracking? I have looked up tutorials and articles searching for others who have had this problem and cannot find anything that replicates my issue. Every tutorial I've seen does the same thing with fantastic results but I can never get the text to not move with my subject.
