I was wondering if there was a way to import multiple images into photoshop all as one image. For instance, what I want is for each image I import to become a layer in one image.
View 2 RepliesI have CS5 and use a Lumix FZ150. The native format of the RAW images on the camera is RW2. When I try to open these in CS5, some are opened some do not. The pics that open, open in Camera RAW. The others give me an error message, that my camera is not supported? what the problem is.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to find out if there are limitations in PSE's Organizer that make it pointless for people with large numbers of photos to bother buying PSE 12.
I imported 1050 JPEGs into My Catalog without problem using PSE 8 but all subsequent imported JPEGs show up as Thumbnails that are Opague with an Hourglass design on them. This makes organizing these images impossibly slow. When I created a new catalog, imported thumbnails were visible again.
But what to do about the 1050 images in the original catalog? I've got two thick "how-to" books and they say nothing about copying images from one catalog to another.
More important, to have confidence to buy PSE 12, I need to know what caused the 'invisible' thumbnails in the original catalog and is it something that could happen again after another two years of scanning, importing and trying to organize?
Using Elements 11, cannot get the Star Rating bar to appear under images imported from file, although the intro to the program shows this as happening automatically. I have also created an account, but the question does not seem to be get a post.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHi, I am starting a new business making art prints for artists. I have purchased this huge printer ... just got it. I've been studying photoshop for months using "classroom in a book" and am finding out that I've probably studied the wrong thing.
I have three questions and thanks in advance for any of your expertise.
1. I successfully printed out a two foot by two foot photo I took of my husband with my 8.2 megapixel camera. Then, tried to print out another photo.... used the same photoshop settings, but the print was 6 inches by 6 inches...... I did notice that the second print was only 16. %... I wondered if that caused the difference in size? How do I set that to 100 % if that is what is needed?
2. I want to print out multiple small prints using this big paper and printer... I want to tile these various prints (all different) along the top making rows... I want them to be all different. I called Epson support and they said I could do that in photoshop. Do I use the browser?
3. I have a wide format scanner. It does up to 11 x 17 inches. If I have something larger to scan, let's say, I scan the bottom of the image and then scan the top of the image, how do I put them together?
I upgrade to lightroom 5 from lightroom 3. Now all of the develop defaults are "0" for new imported images. In lightroom 3, it would apply default settings at import. In addition, all of my presets are not adjusting exposure/blacks/whites etc like they used to. I am using a Canon XSi. Do I just have something unchecked somewhere?

The images are on my computer but not showing up in a folder in the LR4 catalog...how do I get them into the catalog? When I try to find them, they are all greyed out and I can't move them - a message says that it seems that duplicates are already on the computer (or something like that).

View 11 Replies View RelatedAfter going back to some Premiere Pro projects which contain a lot of graphics (PNG files) they don't display as the images, they display as text, which is the first font avalible in my font selection with the word 'LOGO' I don't know why this happens and other than re importing all the PNG's again i don't know how to correct this.
Admittedly the file locations have changed but when opening the project I am prompted to locate media, which i do, the media is then found with no problems. The media is also present at the correct points on the time line, but it's the same logo problem.

I would like the number sequence to continue from one import to the next. However, each time I start a new import, Lightroom starts again at 00001. Is there a way to instruct Lightroom to automatically continue the renumbering sequence from one import to the next WITHOUT manually resetting the "start" number each time?

All the images are "greyed" out, any new images I add to this folder have a tick as normal. I have LR on another PC and all is OK when I try this.
Images that are opened or psds that are imported are resized into an artboard that is smaller then the image. With raster image formats, the following behavior occurs:
For a jpg that is 1000x800px an artboard is opened at 1000x800px and an additional artboard at 360x288px with the actual raster image is created.
I have a working "watched folder", established through Lightroom's auto-import settings. When I place an image into that folder, it is imported into my lightroom catalog.
However, if I put a folder of images into that watched folder (i.e. "James and Stephanie" is put into a "wedding" folder), nothing happens. I do not want all of my images in one single folder; that's why I have Lightroom, so they can be organized in folders but collected in a database.
I also do not understand why Lightroom wants to move auto-imported images into a destination folder.
I would like to drop a folder into the "watched folder" and have Lightroom import (without moving the image) into my catalog.
I was surprised to not find this issue in Internet searches; is it dreadfully obvious, or is there a better way that I'm not familar with?
When importing images from a CF card, they are imported black/white, not color as exposed. Previous imports were normal color.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been having problems selecting images in the library module when multiple images are in view (not down in the timeline, but in the main window). It seems sporadic with which ones it won't let me select, it somehow manages to be the ones that I need to click....!! I just literally can't click it as if it were an image I already imported or something, but it's not grayed out like that. I've been having to select a nearby image then use my arrow keys to navigate to and click the image I need.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Lightroom 4.1 when rating (flags, stars or colors) a selected group of images all images selected will have the same flag applied. For instance if I select 10 images to view in the survey mode to compare and select 1 to be flagged as rejected all 10 will be flagged rejected, not just the one. Is there a way to turn this off to select a group of images and flag each differently?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using Lightroom 4..i've been importing my RAW images from my external harddrive. Some show up in the catalog as ruined with a blank white section and color bands. I've checked the actual image on the external hard drive and it is fine. I've deleted the ruined files from the LR catalog, then re-imported those problem ones... still come in as white with banding. I've even tried deleting them from the catalog, then from the hard drive... then back onto the HD from the camera, then back into lightroom. Some look ok until I look at then in loupe view and the same problem happens. Mean while the images on the HD and on the camera's CF card are fine.

Currently I have to crop out all but one, then save that one, then reload the image and crop out another one and save etc over and over. is there a better way?

I have tried searching the database with DBLink, Ideate BIMLink and I have gone into every view to no avail. I also used the reviTTools add-in which says there are no drawings in the file. Am I dealing with a corrupted file? I am super OCD and this is in our Template which makes it an even bigger problem.
