I have Photoshop 7 and converted some jpg scans to pdf files, then combined them into a multipage single file. I wanted to edit one of the pages, but can not recall how I created the multipage file.

Is it possible to do a multipage scan in Photoshop 7 and to have all the scanned pages saved as one PDF file. At the moment I can only find a way that gives me the same number of files as I have scanned in.
The reason I am having to do this is because I am having a problem with the scanning facility in Acrobat 8.
I need to be able to convert documents (.pdfs or anything else really) into multi page, CCITT group type 4 .tiffs. I've read that this is possible to do in Photoshop, but when I tried downloading a trial on my computer, I wound up with a corrupted hard disk (unfortunately, this is also on my personal, not my work computer), but no functional software. How to get Photoshop to run without destroying my hard disk, I'd like to find out if it's worth the trouble.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI found myself in the situation today of having to make a multipage pdf document from many individual images. There were over 100 images of each page and I didn't like the idea of manually creating new pages, dragging the images on, resizing and aligning each time etc. probably about an hours work or more. Luckily there's a way to do it in less than a minute using the autoreplace name used in photo galleries.
Here's the steps on how to do it.
1: On your first page drag on any one of the images, position and resize it accordingly.
2: Apply the name autoreplace to the image
3: Select and drag all the images from your folder onto the first image
4: Choose duplicate page from the dialog that pops up
presto a 100+ page document that can now be saved as a pdf.
I had a task to edit 10 pages of specifications TIF format containing 12 pages.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was victim to the MS update that wiped out all the fonts. I undid the damage with a restore, it was the only way for my X64 Win 7 system. Now, suddenly, making multipage PDF's is a nightmare. I have always used the same process and settings on the PDF converter (been doing it since X3 with no issues) Now, I cannot set the settings to get a normal sized PDF... they usually are 5 megs for a 5 page pdf... now they come in at 35 megs? It's always ignored the graphic items I have placed off of the page... now, it appears it's including these items and I cannot figure out how to adjust the settings - I've tried everything.
The only work around was to save the file under a new name, delete all extraneous graphics off the page, then make the PDF. It comes out as it should if I do that. I've never had to do that before... it's always simply used the graphics on each page when it's checked as "pages 1-5".
If you have a multipage document such as the plans for a house you can have a different scale factor on each page if you turn off "All pages in document the same" in the Options dialog's "Page Size" tab.
Then you can set different scales on different pages. E.g. 1:100 for house floor plans and 1:500 for site layout plans.
Gimp open a multipage tiff as a multilayer image and i can edit it. But wheni save it, all layers are merged into one and i've get a onepage tiff. Howcan i save a multipage tiff?
View 6 Replies View RelatedEvery day at least a dozen times I print spot color separations for film through the print dialogue to pdf, and every single time I have to either print the spot colors one at a time, or open the multipage pdf in Acrobat and use the clunky extract page function to get separate files. Is there any way to just get it to print separate pdfs?
Then I have to rename each sep to have the color in the file name. If there was a way to automate that?
I'm using Illustrator for work and I love it, I never needed scripts yet. Now I have couple houndred svgs coming in per day, I would like to have a script that opens every svg one by one in the selected directory and add them to a pdf as pages of the same size and than save it.
How many files I could put in 1 pdf this way?

Often times when designing a logo I create different versions and variable options on layers. This can result in several layers in one Illustrator file. Is there an easy way or an existing script that will allow me to (with one click) create a multi-page PDF consisting of all the layers within my .ai file? The current method is turning on each layer, performing a save-as (PDF), then turning off said layer and turning on the next layer and repeating the task and so-on-and-so-forth, etc … It becomes tedious and quite often I save over the previous version, forgetting to re-name it or forget to perform a save on a certain layer. I have never written my own script before but am not opposed to trying, where do I begin?

Every page consists of 2 linked frames of paragraph text and second one is linked to the first one of the next page. When printed, it prints only first two pages as a whole. And the 3-rd and all the others prints only first frame of the page and two rows of the second frame of the page.
Is this my printer (Canon LBP3010) or the CorelDRAW ?
BTW: Paste 16 pages from WORD to Corel X6 takes infinity and crashes. In Corel 9 it takes about a minute for 80 pages!

I started to get this strange error with my Photoshop when making a new document in Photoshop and got the following error: "cannot initiate Photoshop because Photoshop cannot create any more windows".
I thought the easiest thing to do would be to reinstall (Photoshop needs reinstalling extremely often unfortunately), but now when I try and open the program it just give an alert beep and closes back up. Even though I rarely use ImageReady, I opened that up to check and it does the same behavior.
Can anyone tell me what color settings I need to set in photoshop in order to avoid this from happening? It only happens once in a while and I don't know what I've done to fix it or screw it up. What happens is that when I'm in photoshop and I do a "save for web" my document jumps to image ready and when viewing '2 up' for optimization purposes and comparison, I realize that the original view is actually duller in color and does not look like the original in photoshop. The blacks are definitely not as black.
View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen I got my first Macintosh IICX and all of my MacPaint clip art. I don't want to get rid of the clip art because since I'm still using a black ink printer and not upgrading to a color one, the clip art looks nice in newsletters and the like.
Up until this time I had been using SuperPaint which had the New Superbits editing plug-in to refine the pictures so they had the smoother and cleaner lines instead of looking jagged. With my new computer and printer, I'm also getting Photoshop CS packaged with Adobe Creative Suite Premium, which I have never used before. Since I have not received my order yet, I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether Photoshop has the capability of improving the older MacPaint clip art like SuperPaint did with the New SuperBits editing plug-in. Over the past two days, I have been trying like crazy to back-up my pictures with SuperPaint and then re-saving them with Graphic Converter. It's been so incredibly slow that I thought I would go ahead and ask you, the experts, if Photoshop can also improve the quality of my older MacPaint clip art or if I should continue to back-up my clip art like I have been doing.
I have just got back from the Elbow gig and pulled the images off the card. They load up in Bridge but don't have actual picture thumbnails. They are named correctly, ie: IMG_3483.CR2 but they won't open!? Error message says 'Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognise this type of file'
I could see them on the back of the camera.
mac users... i did a software update the other day and I noticed that there was an update for ACR. Could it have been something to do with that? And why can't I find ACR in my Applications?

View 3 Replies View Related of Adobe Photoshop v6.0.1 (quite old, I know, but it do all I want and on my old HW I did not plan/want to use any more recent version, because they are HUGE and with just a little preferences trick, I did not need to reinstall my PS - ever ), yet as Czech user, I need my software to type some special characters as well. These are looking like this:

Now the only problem is, that some of them PS just refuse to type. Seven small and seven caps are just wrong. See the line "for PS:"...
I battled the problem even by editing the fonts itsels, because that seems to work with Adobe Illustrator, yet this also cause the edited fonts to be useless in another programs. So I looked deeply and in the Adobe settings in directory Fonts / Reqrd are directory CMaps and perhaps editing the character map used will be better and usable solution? how to do it or even determine with file from the 96 files in the CMaps directory are right now used by Adobe Photoshop?
Everytime I open my CS6, it always show " Could not initialize Photoshop because the preferences file was invalid (it has been deleted)" I reinstalled it but it is still popping out.

the soft edge feature of the eraser and the brush no longer work. I can go into the pallet and choose a soft edge eraser or brush, but it comes up hard edge. When I try to use the marquee box with a feather to get a soft edge, I again get a hard edge. I've used this technique a lot, so I think I'm doing the method properly. I have removed the preference files a number of times and have trashed the old Photoshop and reinstalled Photoshop 3 or 4 times,
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am working on someone elses computer and the Software settings are different. The old owner does not use this computer anymore. The swatches are set and I would like it to function how it usually does, etc. I mean, even the transparent swatch on the tool bar is not there anymore, so when I use the pen path tool, I get these white and black fills which makes it difficult for me to see the path I am meant to be following.
How do I reset Photoshop so that I can customise it the way I want it? Reinstalling the softwares is not an option.
I would like to reset Illustrator, Indesign, Dreamweaver, etc.
I'm having trouble with my zoom tool. If I have multiple Photoshop windows open, when I go to either zoom in or out of the top window... ALL the other windows mirror what's happening to the top window.

I am getting a message that reads "Could not initialize Photoshop because a required resources text file is missing. This means that I know exactly what I want on each page and I've done the whole page by adobe photoshop. However, most website host needs the file to be in html in order for it to appear on the web. Is there any way to change an adobe photoshop image into a html file without changing the layout or anything? Coz it was hard work designing the layout and inserting the content into adobe photoshop image.

These files are saved as TIFFs, and as part of my workflow, I have just about everything in Groups. She currently has Elements 10 on her system, but that absolutely does not permit access to the Groups and the components within. Because of her job duties, I cannot necessarily justify adding her to the CC account since she does not need PS, AI, ID, or any of the other applications as I do. However, I can easily justify upgrading her to Elements 12...provided it does what we need it to.
