Apr 18, 2013I'm having an annoying issue with my CMYK images. I work for a marketing co. that's primarily print, and after uploading my images to our online storage interface (we use Egnyte), the jpegs appear "milky" or lighter and desaturated than what they do on my screen and in Photoshop.
I've tested tiff, jpeg and pdf and they all look fine on my screen, but the jpeg and tiff appear "milky" only on my collegue's screen, but the pdf is fine. She is on a Mac, I'm on PC, and no matter how I open the images, whether I redownload them from the web, or open them straight from my hd, they appear just fine.

Oct 24, 2013I've a pdf created with auto cad 2013 printed with adobe pdf. I put it into the Photoshop cs6, but it always make my image lighter, and i have to adjust exposure, levels or brightness to see the image fine. And i don't like doing this because the image is not exactly the same...
I have this friend who work with the same tools and his pdf is perfect in his Photoshop. I think is a rastering issue because the pdfs looks great until the Photoshop interpret the image.

Lightroom :: RAW Exports To JPG Lighter Than They Appear In Library
Jan 8, 2013I'm new to the photography world and having a bit of trouble when using Lightroom.I have a new Olympus PEN EPL-5 and Lightroom 4.3 running on Windows7.
When I import RAW (.ORF) files they are dark in general, but when export them as JPG they are brighter, similar to what native JPG from the camera looks like. Then if I "correct" the ORF file in Quick Develop or Develop it becomes too light/bright/over-exposed.
Here on the left is the RAW file import with Develop Settings = "none" and to the right is an export to JPG color space "sRGB".Now if I adjust the RAW (.ORF) file in LR I can get it close to the JPG on the right above, but then when I export it, it becomes way too bright
why the RAW Library image is so far off from the exported JPG image?Obviously this "issue" makes using Lightroom very difficult as I can't tell how changes in LR will really turn out once exported.

Aug 6, 2012I am xref'ing in a floor plan (provided by a client) & I need it to print at a lighter shade of grade. The information that I am adding will be on my own layers and will be darker.What I need is to change all of the various lineweights from the xref'd file to a single gray lineweight, but not change the linetypes. I have seen this done, but it was a long time ago, & it was with an older version of AutoCAD. For the life of me, I cannot recall how it was done. Any simple way to do this without phyiscally changing my original copy of the drawing.

Oct 10, 2013Here is the image I am working with.
I want to change the color to hex #00aced (0, 172, 237). I tried the colorfy, but the image comes out purple. Another way that has worked for me in the past, with white images, is by clicking on the channel dialog and dragging the red down. Clicking on the eye, next delete the original image and than add a new foreground color based on what color I selected from the palette. Of course this isn't working either since the image is so dark.
Now in channel mixer it could work if the RGB would go higher than 200, but since my blue is 237 this is where I am stuck. It has worked with other colors, as long as the RGB is less than 200. This is by selecting each output individually, for example, starting with red and entering a value in red and leaving green and blue at 0. Next selecting Green, entering a value in green and leaving red and blue at 0, and so on... Is there some type of mathematical solution for using the channel mixer, or simple yet, is there a way of making my image more white, without losing my shadows?
