Photoshop :: No Longer Access Native Menu To Do Anything To Image
May 11, 2012When I open an image in PS CS6 all is well. Once I move the document, it snaps itself to the top left. If I move it and try to place it somewhere else, it moves itself a little higher to the top left. The more I move it the more it snaps higher. If I move it over 5 times it covers the main menu bar (File Edit Layer View Filter) and so on. This renders the app useless as you can no no longer access the native menu to do anything to the image.
I am on Windows 7x64 (SP1) with a Wacom Tablet. Within PS I've disabled, Tabs for windows (Both check marks) as well as Flick Panning, and animated zoom.
AutoCAD .NET :: Running Native Commands
Jan 11, 2012I haven't had enough of an application to justify trying to figure it out. At this point however, i've designed a small conversion form that can be called by our engineers and allow them to convert between various units. I'd like to have a button though that allows them to call up the Quick Calc application from within AutoCAD. What i'm wondering is how do i actually call a native autoCAD command? Is it possible and if so where could i find documentation on the syntax. For what it's worth i'm working in C# in VS 2010.

May 22, 2009I can't rotate anything in 3ds Max anymore. The only way I've found is to go via the hierarchy pivot box (left hand menu), which isn't much of a workaround.
The rotate gizmo appears, the pie slice appears, angle numbers change when I drag but nothing moves. Is there a quick way of resetting 3ds to defaults? I presume I've switched something on or off that I shouldn't have!
I can rotate merged objects, just not native ones. I grouped a lorry with a box (I wanted to put a logo on the box for the side of the lorry) - when I rotated the lorry, the box stayed put!
Paint Shop Pro :: X4 64-bit Native Scanner Support?
Oct 29, 2011Has native scanner support for 64-bit Windows been added to X4, or is it still necessary to purchase a 3rd-party driver (VueScan)? I ask because my copy of X3 is sitting on the shelf unused due to lack of scanner support, however Photoshop Elements 8 is working with the Canon scanner with no issues. It is time to upgrade one of these products and lack of scanner support is a deal breaker for me.

This successfully create a .xar with just the objects I selected, however when I go to File->Import and select this file the preview panel shows an image of the entire original document, which is misleading as to the contents of the .xar. CorelDRAW X6 :: Get Transparency To Work In PDF With Exporting Everything As Native And Using Version 9
Nov 25, 2013I have always flattened everything out of CDR whenever there is any transparencies involved, this works fine, you just have to deal with large bitmaps. Now in recent discussions some respected contributors have touted using the X3 pdf setting with Compatibility set to Ver9. That works, transparencies print without the yellow box ....fine... but.
I design with CMYK colours ( I know.. BIG discussion that has been addressed many times) and use RGB images (because they are usually client supplied or our Stock site only supplies RGB).
My problem is in my PDF settings I have everything set to export as Native which works well on the Roland using Max Impact and even if I set compatibility to PDF Ver 9 transparency will still have the yellow box.
To get transparencies to work without flattening, everything has to be exported as CMYK and as you know RGB blue goes purple when you do this and the RGB images just don't look as good.Is there a way to get transparency to work in a PDF with exporting everything as Native and using PDF Ver 9?

Jan 26, 2012I cannot find a way to keep the native resolution when exporting it to this size, even using the same as project settings, it makes it 720x480, when i look at the file when clicking properties it says uncompressed 1920x1080, how do i export it as such just a little more compressed?

Jul 23, 2013For a long time I'd been using Gimp 2.8.0 on my Mac Mini. (Running Lion) It worked well, but it had a few annoying Wacom-related bugs.
Today I upgraded to Gimp 2.8.6 ... and it's very very slow. I tried 2.8.4. Also slow. (On the plus-side, the Wacom bugs are totally gone.)
I tried a couple of different binary builds. The two linked from the Gimp homepage and one from Partha.com. All very slow. At print resolutions, even something as simple as changing a layer visibility (Previously almost instant) now takes the better part of a minute.
Did something horrible happen to the rendering code during the X11 migration?
I've tried
--Turning off all color management.
--Working on monochrome files. (No improvement, which makes me think it must be draw-related.)
-- Increasing and decreasing the tile-cache size.
--Cursing.
So far I've just been using pre-made binaries, but I'm not adverse to compiling my own if I absolutely have to.
Rolling back to 2.8.0 fixes the performance problem, but I'd really like to have the bug fixes.

I do not want an edit copy and wish to have the RAW file open in photoshop. I have had this option in thw past, but since installing LR 3 on a new computer can not configure to just open the NEF file in Photoshop.

Lightroom :: How To Create Slideshow Full Of Photos With Native Aspect Ratio Of 3:2
Dec 2, 2013I'm using Lightroom 5.2 on a 27-inch iMac running Mavericks. I want to create a slide show full of photos with a native aspect ratio of 3:2 (from a Nikon D4 and a Nikon D800). I do NOT want the photos to be trimmed along the top and bottom, which is what happens when I choose "Zoom to fill frame" in the Slide Show module. I do NOT want letterboxing along the right and left edges of the photo, which is what I get if I don't choose "Zoom to fill frame" and just export the slide show using the "Export Video" button in the lower left of the Slide Show module. ("Export Video" gives me four choices for "Video Preset," but none of the four is a 3:2 aspect ratio.) I just want a slide show of uncropped 3:2 aspect ratio photos with no border around them whatsoever. Considering how many of the photos taken every day on this planet are still in the 3:2 aspect ratio, I find it hard to believe there isn't a way to do this.
If for some reason there is no way to create such a slide show in Lightroom, I have Creative Suite 5, iPhoto, and iMovie, but I don't want to buy any new software just for this.

Oct 9, 2013I own Design and web Premium CS6 and Lightroom 5.2 running with NIK and Canon Printer iPF9100 plugins running just fine on a Win7 machine.
I purchased and installed PhotoShop CC about a month ago/ When I start PhotoShop CC from the exec file the NIK and Canon plugins do not show up. If I am in Lightroom and ask to edit in PhotoShop CC the file opens in PhotoShop CC and I can access both plugins. If I am in Lightroom the NIK plugin is available and works just fine.
I have tried putting the plugins in:

Dec 4, 2008I use Photoshop CS3. All plug-ins used to work before. Now with some of the plug-ins (liquify+vanishing point+artistic for example) the following happens:
- plug-in dialog window opens
- i can make changes and see the preview of them in the plug-in window
- i can apply the plug-in
- then PS displays a dialog saying something like "applying effect.."
- but when that is finished I'm back at my original image without the plug-in effect being applied (nothing shows in history window)
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling Photoshop but the problem remains. I even tried installing a demo of PS CS4 but have the same problem with that version.
The error appears on the plugins with a more sophisticated user interface, the ones with the basic UI (like gaussian blur etc) still work ok.

Jan 10, 2005I have an old version of Photoshop (3.0) which I've never updated because frankly it still suits my needs.(which are limited). I realized recently that when I switched from Windows 95 to Windows 98 se a few years back I lost some of my filters, like clouds and mezzotint, ripple, lighting and a handful of others. When I go back and fire up the 95 machine they are there. Also I notice they are in the plugin folder but not showing up on the menu. The best investigation I've turned up is that Photoshop(at least on the 98 machine) says it doesn't recognize the file extention?( 8bf files )although the computer lists this as a recognized file.( 8bf )
