I am pausing the .wmv and doing a screen print and a paste into photoshop.
It is not working as the screen print is really not capturing the video frame, if I close windows media player, the video image disappears from the psd file even if I save the psd before closing windows media player.
How can I capture a video frame and import the image into photoshop?
Assume a youtube video played in an internet browser. What is the best way to capture a still image from inside a browser like IE? Does PS CS6 have this ability? What other Adobe product?
if there are any digital cameras which do image capture with greater than 8 bits per channel? I don't doubt such a camera would be well out of my price range, but I've got into scanning and working with with 16-bit colour and I've got the itch...
does anyone here regularly work in a 16-bit colour space?
I wanted to use the capture screen feature but when I go to file-import-screen capture - the setup and capture features are grayed out and I can't get to set up. What can I do.
Having recently swapped my old iMac for a new Retina MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9.1, I seem to be having some difficulty getting the new Mac to open Lightroom 5.3 when a memory card is inserted either into the SD card slot on the laptop itself or into the card reader of the monitor. I have no problems importing pictures into Lightroom if I open Import myself but I find it odd that cannot enable the same function as I had on the old iMac. Within the Lightroom preferences I have the option "Show import dialog when a memory card is detected" enabled. However, what I find really odd is that my old stalwart application for sorting this sort of stuff out, Image Capture, does not seem to recognise Lightroom. When I open this application with a memory card inserted I am unable to select Lightroom as an "Other" option from the "Import to" menu. see the screenshot below. what is causing Image Capture to dislike my fresh install of Lightroom (via Creative Cloud).
I have Corel VideoStudio Pro X3 as well as the trial version of X4 which I have just downloaded. I am having the same problem with both versions. When I go into Capture, there is no image coming through the Capture Window, it is just black. When I hit Capture Video, it does start capturing and it does record video correctly, however when I stop capturing, the preview window turns black again.
How can I get the video to be seen in the Capture preview window?
My computer is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit edition. I am using a USB capture device, the Diamond Multimedia VC500 One Touch VHS Video Capture USB 2.0.
Is there a procedural way to download my photos to LR3 instead of Image Capture on my iMAC? I had Apple Store Geniuses fix the Safe Mode problem (which i posted in a different thread) so when I got home and tried to download my photos from the CF card reader it showed up in the Image Capture screen but not in LR3. I had the CF card reader attached to the computer's USB port before turning on the computer.
Should I have turned on the computer first and then open LR3 before connecting the card reader? My guess is that because LR3 was not opened first, the downloading went somewhere else.
I have PSPro X.Often when I capture an image, figures show which I presume is the image size measurements. What can I do to avoid these figures being seen in the screen capture target area.
I'm using GIMP 2.6.11 on Windows XP. I use "ALT + PRINT" to capture the active program's screen and "Edit -> Paste as -> New Image" to create a new image from the captured screen.
The problem is that the new image always shows extra lines (about 3-pixel wide) on the left side and clips the right side. I haven't verified it pixel-by-pixel, but it looks like what's clipped on the right side is displayed on the left side.
But the problem doesn't happen when I do "File -> Create -> Screen Shot -> Grab a single window"; it shows up nicely.
Also even when I use "ALT + PRINT" to capture, the problem doesn't happen when I paste it to a different program, such as Windows Paint or even WordPad; it happens only when I do "Paste as New Image" in GIMP.
I'm having an issue using LR4 where when shooting in tethered capture mode the previewed image wont advance to the photo you have just taken. The file is there, but you have to manually advance to it.
I have a Canon S100 and just started importing photos and video into my LR 4.3 catalog. I convert RAW to DNG, and the Capture Time on the photos in LR is correct. However, the video Capture Time is shifted forward exactly 8 hours. I know how to correct the video Capture Time, but is there anything I can do to stop this from happening in the first place? I looked at what the metadata looks like in Bridge.
PHOTO: Date Created = Correct Capture Time Date File Modified = The time I imported the file into LR.
VIDEO: Date Created = Capture Time + 8 hours Date File Modified = Correct Capture Time
Why does the capture date in the metadata panel not match the capture date seen in the grid extra view and how do I fix it? The images that I have in my library are digitized negatives and I've corrected the capture dates and times to be accurate; however, the capture date and in the metadata window shows what I've changed it to and the date in both the grid extra view and the Metadata>Edit Capture Time... options both reflect the date the image was last modified. Not all of the images in my library are this way and some show the correct information. When sorted by Capture Time, all images fall exactly where they should in the proper order (based on the changed, corrected edit time and not the modified date). I saved metadata to the file with the new date but it didn't fix it.
Trying to use the builtin screen capture tools under Utilities/Screen capture.
There appears to be no way to do a selected capture or partial selection of parts of a window. Instead we have:
Full screen [] active window [] content of active window [x]
So I selected the last one above as shown `Content of Active Window'
But what I actually get is a mini version of the entire Designer pro 7 application Including the menus, borders, and all that guff that no one usually wants in a capture of part of the full screen.
So what does `Content of active window' mean as apposed to `Active window'?
Its really unbelievable that there is no provision like `Region' found in most screen grab tools where you select with the mouse what you want captured.
Maybe I'm just missing how to use this thing, but have included the result of what a `content of active window' does. Its a mini version of the entire application...
Often I find there's a problem with the paint bucket where I click on the layer and it doesn't color it. Also, sometimes the color I already have in the background just keeps going to darker shades with each click on the paintbucket.
Also, how do you do a screen capture on a mac?
Lastly, worked with Sketchup in conjunction with PS? Is it easy to manipulate a Sketchup image once you get it into PS?
I modify the properties of a slice, it triggers a dialog box that i have made myself. In order to make that, I have to know how to capture this event. For the design of the dialog box, there isn't problems ..i know how to do that but not how to capture this event.I have already analyze the Getter plugin and his "getter.log" but i don't understand how it works. Listener is more easy to understand.
way or a utility to capture a still image form a DVD movie playing on your computer and bring it into PhotoShop for editing.
I tried the old venerable "Print Screen" and the images shows up, but once the movie stops playing all you get is a black rectangle where the image was.
I just got a wcom bamboo capture and I'm trying to use it with photoshop 5 and when i try to draw with the tablet it only draws straight lines. When I draw on the laptop touch pad it'll do any curved line i want.
The tablet recognizes that im moving the pen in a curved motion but no matter whati do it only produces straight lines.
May i know which app adobe uses, to capture film from working in Photoshop cs6, for their adobe videos, tutorials and podcasts? I've heard, there must be an official app, but i forgot the name.
I see often in forums and tutorials where the authors have pasted PS screen shots of various boxes from the palletes. How does one do these print screen of portions of the whole screen?
How do I capyure from my VCR and USB digitiser. Nothing seems to allow its recognise it? Competitors programmes allow it. Am I missing something in Premier?
In Capture One 6.3.4, my backgrounds read 253-255. When I open the RAW file in Camera RAW 7.1, the background reads 241-245. Profile is the same (Adobe RGB).
I placed an element in the bigger picture, then I tweaked it, distorted it, used perspective etc. etc. Now I've decided to alter the original of that element and I want to place it in the bigger picture again. And i really want to use all the transformations that I used the first time. Is there a way to capture the transformations and apply them to the replaced element?
it's all image, pixels, no text, paths or even layers in this element I'm placing.
