Photoshop :: Does CS6 Have Feature To Capture Image From Video Clip
Jan 27, 2013
Assume a youtube video played in an internet browser. What is the best way to capture a still image from inside a browser like IE? Does PS CS6 have this ability? What other Adobe product?
Is there a simple way to add a white border around a still image or video clip in Premiere Pro CS 5.5? I've seen the suggestions for adding a radial shadow and am unsatisfied with the results; it's nearly impossible to center the image within the border and many other suggestions out there do not address CS 5.5.
I have a Canon S100 and just started importing photos and video into my LR 4.3 catalog. I convert RAW to DNG, and the Capture Time on the photos in LR is correct. However, the video Capture Time is shifted forward exactly 8 hours. I know how to correct the video Capture Time, but is there anything I can do to stop this from happening in the first place? I looked at what the metadata looks like in Bridge.
PHOTO: Date Created = Correct Capture Time Date File Modified = The time I imported the file into LR.
VIDEO: Date Created = Capture Time + 8 hours Date File Modified = Correct Capture Time
I'm discovering clip view more and more recently and noticed that when you convert a clip view to editable shapes, the clipped shapes are trimmed inside the line width, very clever.
I used to intersect shapes to perform this kind of action but this method is superior as is involve much less fiddling with stacking and does not cut in the middle of the line.
How do I capyure from my VCR and USB digitiser. Nothing seems to allow its recognise it? Competitors programmes allow it. Am I missing something in Premier?
I'm using Photoshop Elements 8. When I try to capture still photos from video clips, the results are not very satisfactory. Usually the stills are very unclear, not sharp like I want them to be. I have to make many attempts to capture a still before I can get one that's halfway clear. Does it have to be this way? What can I do to get consistently clear stills from video?
Trying to finish up first video project shot with 5D MK11 in 1080p.
I had to convert all clips to smart objects it seems to adjust highlights.
I had rendered the project once to 1080P but forgot part of one clip and dragged it into PS.
It is the exact same size but is not positioned correctly and I lose part of the right edge.
I thought it would fix itself with rendering it to 1080P as the image and canvas size are identical and from the same shoot--but it didn't.I hit "fit in screen" or actual pixels but not sure that matters.
Using VS PX4 file type is MTS.Color correction feature-should the entire clip be corrected prior to inserting into time line as a project?I'm using new cameras and trying to get it right.
I just purchased Video Studio Pro X3 and I love it . In my opinion it is possible to capture video from the video camera. I have a JVC HD camera
This the camera I purchased.

I would like to hook my camera up to my computer
[URL]........
How do I do this. Now of course my camera records off an SD card and I can just stick it in there and edit. The reason I am hoping I can capture video just like I can with a webcam is because the view screen on my camera no longer functions so therefore I can only point in my general direction and center up the shot in post edit.
Check out this video I put together for this question,

As you can see I'm just playing around w/ the effect/amounts etc.
I had to manually apply this effect at every frame in the Photoshop's Timeline, which takes a to long... I would love to do it to whole clips. What's the best workflow for that?
A way I tried w little success before was to split the clip into individual frames, (forget how to do that) & then apply a batch command to all the pics, I remember trying this method & it not working w/ Oil Paint effect.
My video clips play in sequence with thumbnails in full screen view, but freeze and shutdown software in slideshow mode. My goal is to burn slides and clips and show on TV via dvd player. Why does everything work fine in full screen mode and not in slideshow mode?
I am compiling a slideshow that has a combination of still photos and videos. I have no problem changing the duration for indiviual photos. However, for the video clips, I cannot get the duration to change from the default setting for the entire slideshow. how I can change the duration for a video clip in a slideshow?
Is there any way to schedule video capturing with this software ? For example, can I automate it to capture daily at a certain time for a fixed duration or can this only be done manually ?
I have been trying to capture both Video and Audio in Video Studio Pro X4. I have a program called Diamond One-Touch Video Capture V500 that uses a USB connection for the Video and Stereo output from my Sony Handycam Digital 8 Model DCR-TRV740. The one touch software works well to capture both the Video and Audio, however, I was hoping when I purchased the Corel Video Studio Pro X4, that I would be able to record both video and audio with the capture feature, since V500 Video shows under sources in the capture screen.why the Video Studio will not record the audio while the One Touch Video program will?
I am using VideoStudio 11 for my capture software. what capture hardware is compatible with my software. I have Dazzle DVD recorder plus and Hauppauge USB-live-2. VideoStudio 11, will not work with either of these devices. When using the Hauppauge hardware I get the following error message: 15023:4:2, unable to switch to capture mode. .
No video preview during capture and did not see a cure to the problem. I just installed and updated VS X4 on Windows 7 and have the same problem. The capture goes perfectly it just does not show a preview on the screen. I tried capturing in Windows Movie Maker and it shows a preview while capturing
Direct X upto date preference set to window preview.
im trying to capture in VS x4 but i only get audio. no video is coming up on my capture screen but if i record, the recording will show video... video just wont show up in the capture screen inside VS x4.. i read where people couldnt see video if they were trying to capture DV and some were told to get windv or someother program to get the video but im not trying to capture dv.. im trying to capture video with my tv capture card, avertv hybrid volar max.. it captures the audio thru the vd x4 capture screen but not the video although if i do a recording both audio and video will play in the mpg.. why cant i see the video in the capture screen?
I'm trying to capture video from a VHS/DVD machine using an EasyCap (2.0 I think). I'm able to get video but it's pulling the audio from my computer's mic. I investigated settings and found that 1) the format resets to MPEG if I set it on DVD and 2) when I go into Options > Video and Audio Capture... and select the only option in the drop-down for Audio device that says USB, the program crashed. I opened it back up and saw that it was still set on USB for the Audio device, but when testing I didn't get the video's audio. I'm new to capturing video this way, am I missing something? I double checked that the cables are plugged in correctly.
I downloaded video studio x4 trial to test drive. I have the upgrade boxed version on the way. I'm running it on my Win7 Home Premium system, 6 gig ram. My camera is a JVC gr-d850 mini DV tape camera. I connect the camera to my computer using a 4-6 pin avi cable. The computer detects the camera with no problem. However, when I open VS x4, it tells me no camera is detected or not connected. My laptop has a 4 pin firewire connection. If I use a 4-4 pin cable between the laptop and camera and open VS x4 it detects the camera with no problem. why the desk top can detect the camera but the software on it can't? And using the laptop instead is not really an option since it is way under powered to handle what I plan to throw at this program.
I enjoy the Video Studio Pro X5 over X3 and I finally got the machine to accept the driver for the samsung minidvd video camera. I selected capture video and started playing the video and hit start capture. It appears to work, but it only records and saves maybe 30 seconds of video. I did a 15 minute tour of a cave but less than 30 seconds of the video is saved.
I have just installed Video Studio 5 and using my Canon XH/A1 HDD camera I get the following message " can not change to capture mode --check video capture driver is working properly" .Does this mean there is not a driver for my camera and secondly how do you 'check your driver is working properly'.
I've got a 30 second piece of video in which a logo on a wall needs to be erased. I used the patch tool and it did a wonderful job, but only on the first frame of the clip.
I want to select an area of video and use a filter on it but maintain that filter all through the video. Currently when I try to use a selection and a filter (blur filter) it will only let me effect one frame at a time. The one frame is under the affected video area. How do I extend that one selection and frame all through the video clip?
