View 9 RepliesI know this was done WAY before the days of Photoshop and was done using actual lighting, but I'd like to be able to re-create a shadow over the one side of the face using photoshop. I already have my image looking exactly like the below, but without the shadow.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 4 layers on a transparent canvas. Each of the layers overlaps the other and has a drop shadow on the layer behind it.
Looks just the way I want it -- except the shadow not only hits the layer behind it -- but also the canvas area.
I don't want the shadow on anything but the layer images. How to remove the shadow from dropping on the canvas?
I am running CS5 and would like to remove a shadow on the grass. The photo is attached and the shadow is to the lower right of the photo (this was the handler's arm).
I've tried the clone tool but it didn't look realistic, tried content aware -- that didn't work either. Tried selecting and using the hue/sat slider to lighten it -- that was terrible. I am going to try a quick mask and see if that will work.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a picture of a girl in a dress. The background is white(ish) and some of the girl's dress is white as well as her blouse.
If I select the magic eraser tool the background is viped out, but parts of the skirt and shirt get wiped out as well... I've read somewhere how to solve this problem, selecting only certain "ranges" of a colour, so that not all the different whites' get erased...
Have also created some text and have added a drop shadow.. is there any way to get the drop shadow to be another colour than grey (i.e. green, pink, blue)..?
What are some different methods that people use to remove shine from the face while still leaving enough for a subtle highlight?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI ran the facial recognition software on all my photos, not realizing the several thousand faces that would be identified, and then subsequently gone through and labeled. I would like to remove all the "face squares" from the photos, but I have not been successful. I have created a new catalog, and deleted the old, I have removed all the photos from the program, and I uninstalled and reinstalled. When the photos are reintroduced, however, the “face squares” are still automatically there. Permanently, it seems. I’m assuming the information then is now either in the picture files or attached to the photos themselves. I’ve not been able to discover anything with Google or Bing, but it may be a matter of just not using the correct search words. With that context, Is there a way to remove the face identification squares?

I have problem with printing shadows. I have dark gray background and I made box to which I created shadow. No problem there. But when I print the document, the box surrounding shadow (the one I can use to change dimension or rotate, which isnt visible) changes my dark gray background.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to remove the blitz shadow from head and body on a white/grey background, with the Lasso tool. The adjustments with Brightness/Contrast in the chosen area works like a charm, however I always get a nasty pixeled or whitelined boarder going constantly around the edited area; no matter if it boarders to a black area (shoulder) or a gray one (wall behind person).
I've tried to edit the primary/secondary color, with no luck. Any way to make this boarder "blend in" to the new brightness area - or to just remove it? The edited area is somewhat identical to the old background, so there is no natural reason to why it should be a constant boarder.
Or is it a better (and easy!) way to remove blitz shadow from a black and white picture?

View 3 Replies View Relatedhow to edit a solid with opening a hole only one face and deleting an another face..
I added a drawing file which has a coloured face solid,I put a circle on blue face and making a hole on this face, and I want to delete red face without exploding solid, after all this I want to mesh this solid with maximum 25 units.
There is any option to merge bottom face of pad eye and pipe curved face... Something like
1. Extrude face to a surface or
2. like notch option available in frame generator ?
N:B - pad eye is made by extrusion and pipe made by frame generator.
All I need to do is merge a circular face to a flat face, so both faces become one continuous face. Is this possible at all?
I have a attached a screenshot to show what I mean. Face 1 needs to be merged with face 2. This is so if I constrain anything to that face it will constrain to the entire face and not either the circular face OR the flat face.
when I anchor the layer face over the background face the floating selection disappears which means I cannot work on the layer face and therfore am unable to erase the layer face into the background face, this is on gimp 2.6

I need to make a picture of a person's face blend seamlessly into the sky. The below shows you what I mean. At the moment the Kenyan Warrior's face has harsh edges and doesn't look properly blended in. My very limited Photoshop ability had me placing an inner glow and bevel and gloss to get something close to what I want, however I suspect the real tool I need for this is completely unknown to me!
