View 3 RepliesI have 4 layers on a transparent canvas. Each of the layers overlaps the other and has a drop shadow on the layer behind it.
Looks just the way I want it -- except the shadow not only hits the layer behind it -- but also the canvas area.
I don't want the shadow on anything but the layer images. How to remove the shadow from dropping on the canvas?
I am running CS5 and would like to remove a shadow on the grass. The photo is attached and the shadow is to the lower right of the photo (this was the handler's arm).
I've tried the clone tool but it didn't look realistic, tried content aware -- that didn't work either. Tried selecting and using the hue/sat slider to lighten it -- that was terrible. I am going to try a quick mask and see if that will work.
I've looked all over and can't find a way to disable it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a picture of a girl in a dress. The background is white(ish) and some of the girl's dress is white as well as her blouse.
If I select the magic eraser tool the background is viped out, but parts of the skirt and shirt get wiped out as well... I've read somewhere how to solve this problem, selecting only certain "ranges" of a colour, so that not all the different whites' get erased...
Have also created some text and have added a drop shadow.. is there any way to get the drop shadow to be another colour than grey (i.e. green, pink, blue)..?
i just have moved one picture on top of another, and i need it to show itself casting the pictures shadow,

But when I print the document, the box surrounding shadow (the one I can use to change dimension or rotate, which isnt visible) changes my dark gray background.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an interior shot of a living room. There is a framed paiting on the wall which has a reflection from the window on the opposing wall. I'm not sure how to remove the reflection while keeping the integrity of the photo. Another possible fix could be doing a mirror image of the photo itself to "cover" the glare spot on the other half of the painting. I have much to learn when it comes to photoshop.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have taken several photos with an infared camera but for some reason when i have opened the photos they all seem to be very 'red'. These photos are important so i just wanted to see if anyone could offer me some advise on how to filter out the redness in photoshop to get the picture back to its original state.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a picture where I'm standing in front of a dark curtain with many shades of green.
I want to remove this background and only have white
in the background.
I created an image for a programming project with Photoshop. When my application runs, everything that is red is drawn as transparent when the form is rendered. The purpose of this is to make an application with a shaped form instead of the regular rectangular windows.
Anyways, my problem is with the image itself: there is a little fringe around it. I am no Photoshop expert, but it appears that the fringe is created by Photoshop when my image is rendered against the red background I created. My image, let's say a circle, is actually in a separate layer, and the background layer is red all over. What happens is that pixels, let's say blue, near the edge of the circle in the image layer turn to purple to smooth out the circonference of the circle in some sort of anti-aliasing fashion.
Since at runtime the red disappears, I end up with a purpleish fringe around my circle, which is annoying. I tried using a different background colour, but I still end up with a little fringe, just of another colour. I tried the various "defringe" options of Photoshop but without any success.
I would like to remove the text from this picture so that i can write my own, is that possible?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to remove the blitz shadow from head and body on a white/grey background, with the Lasso tool. The adjustments with Brightness/Contrast in the chosen area works like a charm, however I always get a nasty pixeled or whitelined boarder going constantly around the edited area; no matter if it boarders to a black area (shoulder) or a gray one (wall behind person).
I've tried to edit the primary/secondary color, with no luck. Any way to make this boarder "blend in" to the new brightness area - or to just remove it? The edited area is somewhat identical to the old background, so there is no natural reason to why it should be a constant boarder.
Or is it a better (and easy!) way to remove blitz shadow from a black and white picture?
remove the fence and whats left of the background in this picture for me. the white doesnt really matter cuz I'm going to make everything but the black transparent

my best photoshop technique is to add fireworks to a pictureI have tried the clone/heal tool in lightroom but the outcome wasn't very good, it replaced the flare with another noticeable circles.
I have elements 10 and am interested in other product additional filters that can remove grain/texture from old photo. I have used noise reduction, dust and despeckle as well as gaussimer blur as it is a portrait. Still not happy with results.I have heard that there are filters specifically designed to remove grain/texture.
