View 1 RepliesI'm trying to take pictures of some jewelry that i have so that i can put them on my website. I want to be able to have the image with a white background and show the shadows of the object, see the attached image for example. How do i go about creating such an image? I looked at other posts on removing backgrounds but these techniques were either too long, given the fact that i have over 100 items to work on, or didn't produce the "shadow" effect that i was looking for.
The first two images are what i'm looking for. The thrid is how one of my items currently looks like. I also tried taking pictures with a clear white or blue background but didn't know an effective way of removing the background.
Remove the background of this picture...and make it transparent... Im using this for xat avatar Its really nothing but I really want to have this picture without a background!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a photograph with a person on it and would like to remove the background so I can cut the person out and place on a white background. I have tried the erasrue tool but when I get too close to the edge it is not differentiating between the person and the background - the colours are not hugely different. I have tried different ways of doing it with discontinuous option. on demos, it points to the sampling option but that doesn't seem to be available as an option. I have also tried using the selection tool but it is difficult/impossible for me to accurately capture the body of the person only as it traces elements of the door behind the person.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm editing some photographs in Photoshop and because of the sunlight, all my subjects have a dark shadow covering part of their neck/throat areas and shirt collars. I used the both the healing brush and patch tools to fix up the shirt areas and they look fine. However, whenever I tried using these tools using non-shadow areas of their neck as sampled areas, the results always look bad. Their necks, even though shadows are removed, look like plastic or plaster rather than real human skin. How would I remove these shadows from their necks without causing an unrealistic looking skin?

My boss wants some t-shirts made but the only image I have is one with a tie-dye background and I need it to just be the black and white that is on the image. I have been trying for 2 weeks to do this and I can get real close but it leaves the colors around the edges and I need this gone. I have the original photo and the one with almost everything removed.
