Mar 29, 2012I have searched and found links to make text look like gold leaf but not how to take text that is already there and turn it into gold leaf. This is a diploma I scanned and the word RECOGNITION is in gold leaf on the original. I would like to replicate it as close as possible on a copy but am very limited on Photoshop knowledge. I can select it with the magic wand and then paint fill it another color but the gold color I have looks like plane light yellow when I print it not even close to actual gold.
I know there is way to do this but I am lost on what to do. I dont want to change anything else just the word Recognition to something that looks very close to actual gold leaf.

Jan 27, 2013I am using old Photoshop 7 because honestly, it has always filled every minor need of mine. Normally, I'm not doing much more than creating simple display placards, but this new project has me stumped. I am creating a simple layout for a device that will be silkscreened. The screen will be exposed using what I am creating in PS7, printed on a transparency.
The problem I am running into is with the text dithering. I found a tutorial that explained selecting the layer, then using Layer>Type>Create Work Path to generate a path around all of the text on the layer. I am now attempting to fill this path with solid black. When I select the path in the palette, the dot to fill the path is grayed out. I found an app note that stated when text is active, this is not an option. I tried disabling the text layer, but it didn't work.

Feb 24, 2013I've been building up a multi-object 3D environment for learning purposes. My current intent is to add gold ring. Trouble is, I can't seem to make the gold color of the ring very rich at all.
It will only get slightly gold colored and reflections don't seem to be tinted at all. Seems to me I solved this once before but I'll be darned if I can remember how.
What have I forgotten to do to get the gold ring to absorb blue light and reflect white things with a deep gold tint?

I am a jewelry designer with a small home web based business. I offer designs in both silver and gold and wanted to know if I can just change the color of a piece from silver to gold in elements. Aug 12, 2013I'm trying to create an action to put a watermark and gold frame on photos (Photoshop CS6). I will need to add it to many photos at a time (100+) so plan to add it to a folder using automate, batch. I've created the action and when I use it on another image to test it the frame doesn't fit, it's really blown up and warped. The two images are the same size, neither have been cropped at all, I used the same camera, same lens, everything is the same, so why doesn't it fit?
I'm guessing it's something to do with the size of the gold frame image as the actual watermark is fine, but I'm a bit confused, it's as if the two images are different sizes or one has been cropped, but this isn't the case.
P.S The photos are just to test the action, I'm not actually giving a gold frame to the wedding photos!

Aug 13, 2012I have exported a file from a program called Aspire (used for CNC router modelling) in 3 formats. AI, EPS and DXF. Aspire is a vector program. The file is a bunch of text that I have carved into wood using the Aspire program output (toolpaths)
Now I want to import the file into CorelDraw to cut a vinyl outline of the text so I can place the vinyl over the timber and remove the cut letters and then spraypaint the letters that are cut into the timber. If I can cut the the vinyl exactly the same size as the router has cut the wood I can stick the vinyl over the wood and spraypaint into the grooves which saves a huge amount of time to make the sign.
However, what I need to be able to do is fill all the letters in Corel Draw and get rid of the outline pen in the file as the vinyl cutter software will cut the letters twice if I have the fill and the outline but it will not cut the outline by itself. So I need all the letters just to be filled (any colour is OK) to run the program that controls the vinyl cutter.
I have imported each file type into CorelDraw (one at a time)and and in each case have tried to fill the letters but I can't get CorelDraw to fill the letters properly. Say with letter "a" it will fill the vectors surrounding the letter but also fill the centre piece of the "a" and even if I select the centre piece of the "a" separately I cannot "unfill" that bit. I can change the centre piece to white and it look like its "unfilled" but that won't work with my vinyl cutter. It will not cut out the centre piece unless I can find a way to unfill the centre piece.
Same problem with all the letters that have a vector inside another closed vector (like p,q,e,g,o etc)
