I have searched and found links to make text look like gold leaf but not how to take text that is already there and turn it into gold leaf. This is a diploma I scanned and the word RECOGNITION is in gold leaf on the original. I would like to replicate it as close as possible on a copy but am very limited on Photoshop knowledge. I can select it with the magic wand and then paint fill it another color but the gold color I have looks like plane light yellow when I print it not even close to actual gold.
I know there is way to do this but I am lost on what to do. I dont want to change anything else just the word Recognition to something that looks very close to actual gold leaf.
I would like to learn how to get this golden skin tone exactly like this magazine cover (see link below). I tried to do the same blending the skin with the gold texture but I failed. The result was a quite weird and too yellow. There are any person that know how to do this?[URL]...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to change silver to be a gold (with magic of photoshop, I don?t need to go to the gold shop )
I enclose here two images. Original and after coloring. For the coloring, after setting the color, I change Normal mode to Hard Light mode. (I found the technique from tutorial in internet)
I am not satisfy with the result, since it looks fake (not that smooth). Is there any other way to smoothen the colorization of the image?
I've been building up a multi-object 3D environment for learning purposes. My current intent is to add gold ring. Trouble is, I can't seem to make the gold color of the ring very rich at all.
It will only get slightly gold colored and reflections don't seem to be tinted at all. Seems to me I solved this once before but I'll be darned if I can remember how.
What have I forgotten to do to get the gold ring to absorb blue light and reflect white things with a deep gold tint?
I'm thinking about changing the frame color (the red part) to lime gold - but other color suggestions as long as they look good with the orange fenders/plastics and chrome!
View 7 Replies View Relatedhow to use the airbrush or the other painting tools to duplicate reflective surfaces manually like gold, silver, platinum, copper, bronze, etc?
I would like to take for example a line drawing and duplicate a golden belt buckle, ring, gold chain, a chrome bumper, anything like that. I have experimented with gradients and trying out the airbrush, but it doesn't seem to get the effect I'm trying to apply.
I have Elements 7. I've been using it for a couple of years and know my way around from playing with it but am certainly no expert. I am a jewelry designer with a small home web based business. I offer designs in both silver and gold and wanted to know if I can just change the color of a piece from silver to gold in elements. It's a huge amout of time and money remaking every piece in both metals--I am on a shoestring budget so this is a big deal. (I am attaching a photo as an exaple of what I'd need to convert below)
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create an action to put a watermark and gold frame on photos (Photoshop CS6). I will need to add it to many photos at a time (100+) so plan to add it to a folder using automate, batch. I've created the action and when I use it on another image to test it the frame doesn't fit, it's really blown up and warped. The two images are the same size, neither have been cropped at all, I used the same camera, same lens, everything is the same, so why doesn't it fit?
I'm guessing it's something to do with the size of the gold frame image as the actual watermark is fine, but I'm a bit confused, it's as if the two images are different sizes or one has been cropped, but this isn't the case.
P.S The photos are just to test the action, I'm not actually giving a gold frame to the wedding photos!
I make some medals for my game site. And now I've got a problem with my silver medal. I cant make it transparant with the magic erasestick like I did with gold and bronze.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just started experimenting with a way to get Photoshop to do a TRUE sharpen, where it actually pulls the pixels around blurry edges together, rather than just adding contrast to create the *illusion* of sharpness... but I need ideas. I use sharpening a great deal on photos, but if done too heavily, it always adds that fake "sharpened" look to it, around all the edges... Trouble is, some images NEED that sharpness, and I'm wondering why Adobe still hasn't come up with anything that does a *true* sharpen, after all these years.
So, before I dive more deeply into this, I want to save time (since I don't have much) by seeing if anyone has any ideas as to how to do a couple things.
b - 1.
How would you suggest bringing the blurry pixels in selected regions together?
On my test image, I've had some success using Surface Blur (applied multiple times) believe it or not, but the problem is that on actual photos, it has a knack to only "true-sharpen" the hardest edges, and soften the more subtle ones. Here's an example of what I started testing with:
I also tried Posterize, but this won't work on a large image with more than a few colors in it, because it likes to cut things down to just a few colors (and it looks very messy in photos, because of jagged edges).
b - 2.
Umm, okay, I guess there isn't a second thing... I figured out several good ways of selecting edges; now I just need to find a reliable way to pull blurry edges together along those edges.
I made a multicolor gold gradient the I want to use several times. Is there any way to save it so I have it for future use? I'm using XP&D7 by the way.

View 5 Replies View Relatedas I search the internet for a particular popular image, when it pops up in Google image search, it shows up with a bunch of different resolutions / sizes / whatever you call it. I assume that when the image was originally created, it had one resolution it was created it, the one where it's the best quality. Is there a way in photoshop to figure this out? ie what is the optimal resolution that an image should be displayed at?
For instance, I'm doing an image search on "success kid" which is a popular meme. Of all the images that pop up, should I take the one with the highest resolution? But however could that have meant that it was resized to be very big?

I'm having issues when printing from CorelDraw X5, These issues are only on our newest machine so its a fresh clean install of the printer, OS and Corel itself, So I'd like to know how I can get my printer to print exactly what I view on screen, Some colors come out fine however others tend to be different, For example:
When I print a color which displays as a light grey/silver in corel, It prints this in a Lilac-ish color. When I try to print gold it comes out more of a yellow rather than the gold in Coreldraw,
From what I've read using the search on the forums, I must have my monitor, printer and corel all using the same colour profile, I've tried this but to no avail (Maybe I'm not doing it right?) The majority of my documents are in CMYK and I have the same problem from both new documents and ones I've saved from before (i.e the gold was to be a re-print of a customer order) .
