Someone shot this with a bad camera, at night, with a flash, and I'm trying to correct it.
The biggest issue I have is the fleshtones in this photo. This looks like it was shot in the 60s or something. Can't seem to adjust hues, color balance, etc. to get any improvement.

All has gone well so far, however, I'm now trying to figure out how to clean it up and make it look "perfect". In terms of being perfect, I want it to look completely clean. I darkened the lines as much as I could and erased as much as I could, however, I've tried different things such as blurring, sharpening, and adjusting levels, but the lines still seem too jagged from the sketching. I'm wanting to smooth them out and make them look nice.
Here is my drawing:
and here is an example of what I would like it to look like(minus the completely filled in black part)

I am using a font to place a heading on my webpage. I'm trying to create my heading in photoshop because visitors won't have the font I am using.
My font has some white in it, I save as a .gif with a transparent background, when I view it on the page the background shows in the white spots inside the letters. I want to edit the image to place white in these spots but keep the transparent background, If I flatten the image the transparent background no longer exists.
I am using Photoshop 5
I've downloaded the trial of Photoshop CS6, and imported image sequences and video files. But whenever I use a filter or make another edit, it only affects the frame currently being displayed. Is there any way to apply a change to all frames of the sequence or video at once?

View 3 Replies View RelatedFor some reason with my Photoshop CS3, the image adjustments; i.e. contrast, brightness, etc. , are completely missing when the image is printed. The image file after saving looks fine on screen in a photo viewer, but when printed, the image reverts back to pre-edited state.
Things like cropping,color and transforming carry over , but the image adjustments don't . This is really strange, you would think that once an edited image was saved, all the changes to it are now permanent no matter what form it's displayed.
How is printing the image reversing the image adjustment editing to the file? Is there some kind of setting that it's in thats making it do this?
For anyone that has worked with Photoshop, Paintshop of Fireworks. I have some pictures. I want to strip out the person from the picture and it's background. and pasted it to a plain white background.
The pictures were taken using a digital camera. Example: I have a person standing against a gray wall, I want to strip the person out, and paste it to a plain white background. Does anyone know who to do this without to much of a hassle?
After editing I cannot save the photo. I get the message, "file is in use or has been left open". What does this mean?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm developing a workflow and I would like to see how the images of professional photographers look like in PS at the end of the process ... ready for printing.
Here is my workflow in PS for B&W photo (Hue/Saturation adjustment layer is not needed for a B&W photo as known):
After making all tone and color adjustments in LR, I open the image as a smart object in PS ... and rest is on the above image, showing my layers panel in PS at the end of the developing process.
At the end of the work, if I print with PS, I select all the layers and convert them to a smart object together and I apply output sharpening ... but if I print with LR, I save and close the file without output sharpening and I use the sharpening options on the print module in LR.
When you import a video that has image noise into Photoshop cs6 is there a way of removing it? Is it done in the same way as what you would do in removing noise from a photograph?

I want to retain the quality of the edited image. Then I heard that the TIFF format is a lossless format that support compression.

This would enlarge the image to the working area. Also, it would do the same thing if I double clicked on the little hand on the toolbar on left side of screen. For some reason, this stopped working. How do I get this back?

I am editing .CR2 files using camera raw, and when I save the edited version as a .tiff, my changes are being applied to my original .CR2 as well. I am losing the original .CR2 files.

Had an idea for a logo, take this Soviet badge: Keep the gold around the bottom and sides, have 'The Red Faction' along the bottom, retain the Red star and replace the hammer & sickle with a gold Liverbird. I would need this as a PNG graphical/logo image not simply using the current JPEG and editing it if that makes sense?

View 5 Replies View RelatedFirst issue (see screen shot 1): As an example I created a simple b&w text image, which I subsequently saved to file as a GIF. At a later time I decide to open the saved file in order to edit the image. In editing all I want to do is remove the 2 dots over the letter "i" and re-save the image. Screen shot 1 shows the image unlocked on the page after re-opening the file. I cannot figure out how to edit the image at this point in order to remove the dots over the "i. I know I am overlooking a simple step, but I've tried everything. What is the secret to going back and cutting out just part of an image after the image has already been created.
Second issue (see screen shot 2): After many, many, many attempts I am still unable to create a simple GIF image with a totally transparent background so I can use the image on colored backgrounds. Using the same image example as above, I first went to Arrange>Create Bitmap Copy. That brings up the "Create bitmap options" window. For color depth I choose True color+Alpha. Then I hit the create button. The image I just created is selected on the page, and I then click the Export button to save it. After naming the file and clicking the Export button, I am taken to the GIF Export Bitmap Options window. At this point I have tried both transparency options. If I choose the option to make the background transparent, I end up with an image surrounded by white artifacts when the image is placed over a colored background (as shown in the top of screen shot 2). If I start over and choose instead to make a color transparent (in this case I chose to make white transparent since the image was created with a white background), I end up with the image surrounded by a block of white (the lower image in screen shot 2). What is the proper way to make transparent GIFs?
Import a pdf-file that only contains (scanned) images [book pages]. Rotate them (okay I can do this). Seperate and/or crop them (I can do this but my way is so complicated). Export back into a single pdf file. (I can't do this).
Usually I have a scanned book. So sometimes there are two pages on one image. To have an easier readability I like to seperate those. So what I do is:
- I cut/crop the page out of the image with the two pages
- I place that in a new layer
- I rotate that layer if needed (I use the transform tool, but it is a bit difficult to tell if the text is perfectly rotated, in Photoshop there is an automatic tool, is there one in gimp?)
- I go on with the next page
Problem is that layers are not of the same size. So I have to drag them around to have them (layers) all centered. Also image quality is much lower after importing it to gimp. How do I figure the original resolution of the image saved in the pdf? When I have them all in new layers exporting them to pdf will always result in one single page with only the first layer.
So is there an easier way to do this? Also why does exporting not work?
I'm using Gimp 2.8 on Ubuntu 12.04.
Lightroom 5 has crashed while I was editing an image, and produced a pop up menu advising Lightroom 64 bit has stopped working and the only option is to close the program. This has never happened before and occured today after I upgraded Flashplayer.
View 20 Replies View RelatedWhen editing an image or images in an external editor, such as CS5, OnOne, Nik, etc, LR5 places the images (when it works) at the end of the image sequence instead of where the origonal image came from and stacking the edited images with it. This is different than LR3 or LR4. LR5 does not seem to play well with Nik software either. After editing three images in Nik DHR Efex Pro 2 the saved image did not reapear in LR5. This was never a problem in LR4. Is there some 'tweeking' that needs to be done in LR5?

I am able to remove the text, move things around on the pdf image using Corel Draw, but I want to edit the actual customised text to name it differently, in the exact same style as previously used by the designer.
E.g. it currently says "Green Tea", but I want it to say "Coffee".
Is there a way to do this at all using any of the tools?
Since installing X3 I edit an image ... save and then try to open another image and the program freezes ... everytime. I have to end the process and restart the application. Never had this problem with Paint Shop Pro previous versions. I'm very close to uninstalling and asking for a refund. The install and patches ran fine. Running on XP SP3 ... 3+GHz machine with 4 MB RAM ... Dual Core.
There is no error message. I can see the progam in task manager using 25% CPU with memory usage climbing. I've waiting several minutes and the program does not return.
What im trying to do is edit a tga file..... this is the file im trying to edit [URL] .......
The image its a tga file that its transparent and after i edit it for example i change the colors of the stuff on image, and save it it becomes dark or other colors it loses its transparency how can i keep it as it is with transparency after editing and keep it as tga....
I've got a problem with basic image editing in GIMP.The screenshots should give understanding. I have GIMP 2.6 on Windows 7.GIMP wont allow me to move anything around in the darker area of this image("IconOverlay.png" - attached).
I've tried reinstalling GIMP as well as deleting the user preferencesfolder. I've also tried copying the image into a new GIMP window and editing it inthat, but it doesn't work. This has never happened before on any other image I've edited.
