There are 3 small, squiggly lines in there and I was wondering if I can use Photoshop to make them with ease?

Oct 24, 2003I installed the new version of Acrobat Reader today, and they have a new splash screen. It is black and white, and has a killer pattern of squiggly lines, that look like vector curves, but they twist and turn and morph beautifully. There also looks to be a non vector drop shadow or maybe EyeCandy Corona on the lines. I have often seen geometric lines and patterns around, does anyone know if there is a plug in or proprietary software that will deal with this>? Was is it Illustrator Maybe>? Sorry if this is an off-topic post, but I thought it might be possible in Photoshop as well...SO if anyone has seen this new splach screen and can guide me as to how it was created, I would be greatly appreciative.

Feb 28, 2013I need to be able to draw "squiggly" (multi-point)lines. Specifically, roads on a map. Is there any tool or plug in that allows for "squiggly" lines? The line/ curve tool seems to be limited to 4 points that act as reference points for curves only so it isn't any use to me.

Mar 19, 2013I have set up a 20x20 pixel grid and I want to easily try out a few mockup layouts. No matter what I try, Illustrator simply does not snap to grid. I have to zoom in really close to align each shape.
Surprisingly it does not snap to guides either, leaving me completely hopeless. I have snap to pixel on and all objects are set to align to pixel grid.

For example, if I have a part that can change lengths and I need to print off a new drawing, it would be good if I could say that the lines were a set distance from each end of the part or some features of the part.

Apr 27, 2011This isnt so much of a problem as an annoyance. When I try to make poly lines from connected single lines my procedure is as follows...
pedit, right click, multiple, select lines/objects, enter, yes, join x 3, esc
My annoyance is if i hit join once it will not make the lines into polylines, if i hit join 3 times or so and then esc it will.
It just doesnt seem that is right and I think i might be missing something. I have been doing pedit this way for a long time adn its probably finally time to figure this one out.

Mar 1, 2013What's an easily way of browsing the patterns I currently have, but in a sense that they are already filled out on a large area so I can see the effect. So what I'm after is a way to ideally step through (single click) one pattern to the next, and see the effect it has as a pattern for a filled in area.
At the moment I see to have to keep going back to the Fill with Pattern for a given area and manually applying and then viewing. The only place I can find to see patterns is in the fill with pattern type dialog however (a) they are very small and (b) they are not tiled across an area so you can get a feel for what it will look like.

Oct 16, 2007I'm trying to figure out how to create an image of a solid line into one with a dotted line. this isn't a matter of spacing, but rather filters of some sort (i'd imagine). See this example for the best explanation:
I had the first image (from a brush) and created the second by hand. I literally took a layer and traced the original with dots, making them larger or smaller as I went along. There must be a better way! So I'm looking for the way to convert a line of varying widths to a single dotted line of various-sized dots. make sense?

Jun 15, 2006I would like to take a basic sketch drawing and use it for a tshirt design. I've scanned the image and cleaned up all the speckles and dust. The only problem I'm still encountering is that the lines are not even. It was traced in sharpie before I scanned it so the lines are crisp and smooth, but not even.
