Photoshop :: Make Lines From A Scanned Image Uniform And Even...

Jun 15, 2006

I would like to take a basic sketch drawing and use it for a tshirt design. I've scanned the image and cleaned up all the speckles and dust. The only problem I'm still encountering is that the lines are not even. It was traced in sharpie before I scanned it so the lines are crisp and smooth, but not even.

Photoshop :: Smooth Lines On Scanned Image

Jun 28, 2006

I am having trouble trying to find a way to take a scanned line art picture and smooth out the lines in photoshop. The original artwork was done on paper with a black marker. The lines are pretty ruff though. I want to smooth out all the lines without using the pen tool to path out all the lines and refill.

CorelDRAW X6 :: How To Make Scanned Image Into One Solid Color

Sep 24, 2013

Below is a logo that I scanned form a logo designs book. The grey area needs to be solid black.

I can use the trace feature on CorelDraw. However, the trace feature does not outline the artwork very well.

Is there some way I can make the logo below solid black and solid white without having to sketch the whole thing using features like trim and nodes?

It may be that the trim feature and the nodes feature is about the only way to make the artwork really good and sharp.

Photoshop :: Make Skin Uniform In Brightness

Illustrator :: Make First And Last Dash Of Dashed Stroke Uniform?

Dec 10, 2013

Why is the first dash shorter than the rest?

When I preserve the dash like this The first dash doesn't start at the beginning of the path...

So I looked up how to reverse the path and found this [URL] but my object options don't have the "reverse path" option

EDIT: I just realized that changing the direction of the path wouldn't work because it would mess up when it's too close to another path (although I still would like to know how to flip the direction regardless).

Photoshop Elements :: Apply Uniform Tone To Image

May 14, 2013

I have a lot of pictures taken under restricted library conditions where lighting is wysiwyg. A lot of the pics end up with an annoying gradation of tone caused by the poor lighting (and my poor photography skills), such as the attached image.

I use PSE 9 on a Mac.

How can I apply a uniform tone to images like this in PSE? For example, in the attached sample, the left-hand portion has a nice strong tone, while the right side is washed out. How can I create a nice unformity across the entire image?

GIMP :: How To Make Lines / Colors In Image

Dec 10, 2013

So I am creating this website, and my customer wants a header banner similar to this:

(I don't know if it's clear enough, but there are multiple lines going through the image, with different gradient colors and so on)

Now I can't use this image, since it belongs to another website, but I want to make my own. So, I have no clue about how to make these lines in GIMP. I know GIMP's interface very well (been cropping, coloring for years), but not advanced features like this.

And it's not only the lines, but also the shadowing/coloring in between the lines that I seriously have no clue about how to make.

What is the tool called used for making this? Is there a video tutorial on how to make something similar?

Illustrator :: How To Stroke The Image To Make Cut Lines

Mar 12, 2014

I have been a Photoshop hobbyist. Now I own a  printing business. This has forced me into the  world of Illustrator for our printing and cutting machines. Although I  am very comfortable with PS, Illustrator. One of the  key things is making "Cut lines" in Illustrator to send to the cutting  program. Now here is my dillema, all of my images I have made are in  Photoshop. To make these cut lines I have to stroke the image. When I  bring a picture into Illustrator I can not get it to stroke that  picture. It just strokes the box around it, or unless I draw a circle  or shape around it and stroke that shape. Please refer to the picture I  have attached. The first one is a decal that we initially made. The  second is the image that I want to stroke for cut lines do I can just  have that as a decal without the white circle.

I have located a method of removing them using Photoshop (using layers etc) but cannot duplicate those 'instructions' using PSP X2.

how I can remove these thin stripes (they make the photo look like everyone one is wearing pin striped clothing).

Photoshop :: Editing A Scanned Image

Apr 27, 2009

I'm currently an Art Major in school, and I've been studying examples from the Art Nouveau era. I've been sketching out symmetrical designs, scanning them and mirroring them on Photoshop.

All has gone well so far, however, I'm now trying to figure out how to clean it up and make it look "perfect". In terms of being perfect, I want it to look completely clean. I darkened the lines as much as I could and erased as much as I could, however, I've tried different things such as blurring, sharpening, and adjusting levels, but the lines still seem too jagged from the sketching. I'm wanting to smooth them out and make them look nice.

Here is my drawing:

and here is an example of what I would like it to look like(minus the completely filled in black part)

You see how crisp it is? No jagged edges, completely smooth and clean. This is what I want.
