Is there a way to draw a single line offset to the geometry that I select? I am trying to use multi line by modifying a style but it will not allow for one line offset at 4".
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe are creating a new company title block for the use in Inventor 2010 and AutoCAd 2010. It has initially been generated in Inventor and exported to AutoCAD. My problem is that all attributes that came over are now setup as multiline attributes and I can't seem to change them to single line. Therefore you have to open the multiline editor separately for every single item to make changes in lieu of just 'tabbing' through the values in the Enhanced Attribute Editor. This adds time and frustration and seems to be intolerable for some of my colleagues.
Is there a way to change the attributes to a single line in AutoCAD I'm just not aware of? I tried to find different settings for the export from Inventor but the options seem to be very limited.
I could probably go over this and create separate AutoCad only titleblock and border but that would kind of defeat the purpose.
We have an employee in our office that is kind of old school in some ways. That person has a habit of exploding everything possible in a drawing. Most of us create notations using mtext so it's easy to edit and manipulate. Is there a way to convert the single line text back to multiline after it's exploded?

2. So ya that one was easy.. hows bout when i want to cut something out ACCURATELY, the pen function, right? (according to a friend)when i make all those little boxes and select the area i want to cut, all that gets copied are the outer lines, which i presume is what ive just drawn.. how do i cut the area inside this?
3. and finally maybe a slightly less easy one- In Paint, when you cut out an object and paste it, you can select for the white of the image to become transparent so you can paste over what you have already.. is thee a feature in PS for this?
I have a problem with a recently downloaded version of Inventor. When I start a new drawing all I get is a blank blue screen instead of one with a grid display. If I start a line I can see the cursor change to draw the line but a line does not appear. I don't know if it something with how I installed the program or just system settings.

I use CS5 and have now a small arrow on my line segment tool (as shown in the picutres):
Ever since that when i click shift, it just allows me to draw vertical lines, rather than vertical or horizontal.
I don’t know if there is some way to draw, or somehow to say to AutoCad that it let me to input measurements from line but not from main base pint.
For example in Revit I can make angular dimension between lines and then apply any angle that I want, maybe AutoCad has such tool?
I was drawing a lot of lines with the pointer that stuck at the end of the line and after that it stuck at the beginning of the other line (i hope you understand what i mean). I don't know what i pressed but now this function is not active and is very difficult to draw the lines.
View 3 Replies View Relatedwhen I (try to ) use Pencil and Brush tools, (cross-hatching), some lines get erased/replaced by the lines drawn close to them. It must have something to do with the preferences, but I am not sure what to change/adjust.

I'm laying out cribbage board designs for export to .dxf. I've drawn the board holes as circles but for the dxf file what I really need is a Single Point at the center of each circle.
So, is it possible to make single points in CorelDraw X4? If so, is there a way I can put a single point in the center of 300 holes at once?
Is it possible to make it curve or are there websites where you can download marquee tools?

I am using the rectangle tool in "Paths" mode and even though it will draw a rectangle I cannot see it in the layer. Its all grey and when I hide other layers and just leave the rectangle layer open I cannot see it.
How can I do this? Also how am I able to adjust the line thickness?

View 4 Replies View RelatedHow can I add single line text to my CAD drawing? I use DTEXT command, but there is no option to enter text height. CAD only asks me the rotation angle of text and then blinking cursor appears. If I type something, text gets so small it's almost invisible. Only option for me now is to scale but it takes too much time and too many clicks to get my text to wanted size. Why AutoCAD doesn't ask me for the height?

Did the programmers make the pen tool in CC worse or am I missing something. If I draw a path in cc and stroke it with a 2px hard brush the line is extremely jagged/rough. If I do it in CS6 that I own, the line is smooth and very fine. What gives?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI need to draw a thin white line across an image, infact several lines in different places. The lines need to be permanent. I want to key in the number of pixels for the the thickness of the line and if possible key in the position of the line. I know I can use a new grid line to position a grid line, but how do I then turn that grid line into a permanent line where I can decide the width and colour? I'm trying to refrain from the long way round of zooming up to 1600% and physically using the rectangular marquee tool then filling the rectangal with colour.
