View 1 RepliesWhy does this filter take so long to do and not give me good results as compared with same file size etc in Photoshop 7? Photoshop 7 Cutout filter is awesome; the CS one is a real drag.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to make a circular cutout or circular crop on an image. This will then be used in another program that prints the label for a DVD/CD.
I have tried the crop tool but I can not get it to make a circle only ovals or squares.
I'm working on a project in photoshop for an art class and I'm wondering, does anyone know how to paste an image into an existing one and get it to look like it was psychically cut out of a magazine and pasted on to the image? It would need to have the edges you get when you cut something out. Any suggestions?
View 4 Replies View Relatedi'm trying to edit the contrast and brightness of my greyscale image, after using the cutout filter. Is there any way that the cutout filter can be applied on the fly while i'm changing the contrast and brightness/shadow and highlight options so that the changes i make get applied through the cutout filter? As at the moment i am having to guess when setting my contrast, shadow and highlight settings before applying the cutout filter.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use Photoshop CS. I want to cut out a figure from the photo.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAnytime I try to cutout a piece of an image and paste it into another image, the final result always turns out bad. It looks exactly like what it is...a cutout pasted onto another image.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've tried several different PS effects trying to get the same effect as here
it's similar to the "vector imaging" but i've seen it with out the colors too with a normal photo that just has the shadows shown in one color...
I have a smaller picture with a larger cutout of one object and I'm wanting to add some trails or something from the small one in the original to the cutout and I'm not sure how to do this. I've tried the shooting star trails tutorial I found but it just didn't work right for the motorcycle.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi recently cut out a picture of a girl and put it on a black background. the thing is, it doesn't look natural after i put it ( used the extraction method ). now, how do i edit it such that it will look real/nicer?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to blend cut up pieces of a newspaper type thing into a person's face. I want the text to be visible, but not overt and blended into the skin. Any idea how to get this effect? I had tried by cloning the face and sticking the text between the two layers, which kinda worked, but i want a more "collage" kind of effect.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am getting a hold on using various meathods to paste a selected object (a person) into another image....
but the issue i have is matching the color tonality (i hope i am using the correct word) of the pasted person matching the image i pasted into!! ...
I have tried, the hue and saturation and curves, dodge and burn, brighness and contrast, and a couple of others on the selected person/object it still looks unnatural ..
I'm trying to save an image I was able to "cutout" from one picture, then I want to paste that image onto a different photo. I'm learning about layers (slowly...) and I've watched several tutorials. Everything I've seen/heard makes it look easy, but I'm missing something. Been working on this for several evenings with no luck. Using Photoshop Elements 11.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI tried to use the lens flare filter in Photoshop CS6.While the lighting effect is interesting, it introduces ugly artifacts like blue or orange blobs (which are supposed to be the reflection of the diaphragm, but do not look anywhere close to that, but instead are just cheesy looking blobs of color).
In the "movie prime" setting blue lines are added which have nothing to do with lens flar.On top of it, the preview is about the size of a stamp. Any way to use the filter without getting these artifacts, or is it - what I assume - just a useless toy filter, that has probably been dragged on for years and years because it's always been there? What do you use to create a lens flare effect? Are you just building it from scratch with brush work?
camera raw filter does not show up on the filter drop list on CC. I am trying to determine why this is the case. So far everything else seems to work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedPhotoshop CS5 already in 32-bit mode; Lighting Effects filter not showing in the FIlter Menu.

I've installed 32-bit CS6 and now everything works perfect. No white lines after applying/resizng anything.
I used Acad 2009 way back and just used Acad 2011 recently and I'm having trouble with the changes.
how to set a cutout image in Acad 2011, in a regioned rectangle and render it without seeing the rectangle and the background color, only the cutout image e.g tree, person.
why not appear filter gallery (fade out) in filter menu
View 2 Replies View RelatedI do not have the Camera Raw filter in my filters menu, and I've just updated Photoshop this AM.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've deleted my PS preferences and restarted, and I cannot get this filter to do what is was just doing a day earlier. It doesn't matter what the foreground/background colors are, nor does it matter what the resolution of the file is. I've experimented with every variable. The filter effect changes the filled layer to a solid color of the current foreground color. No lines, dots or circles at all.
I'm trying to make lines in a filled layer, or a rasterized text layer.Adjusting the sliders has no effect at this point, but the other Gallery filters DO work, oddly enough.
I've used this filter effect many times over the years, and it just started acting wonky. This is PS CS6, on Mac OSX 10.8.5.It seems to be unpredictable or temperamental. Is there a reasonably-priced plugin that will create lines that are completely adjustable?
My wife is designing some tote bags that she will have screen printed. I use CorelDRAW at work for manual publishing, and she is having me draw out her designs. I was wondering if there is a way to cut out the white objects from the black object behind in the graphic below. It would save having to add a white color, instead just showing the natural color of the bag.
On another note, I'm getting tired of having to do this for her, but she says the screen printers only take .cdr or .ai files. She's been using iDraw on my iPad to come up with her designs, then I replicate them in Corel. She has a Mac laptop, and I'm wondering if there are any reasonably priced programs that would export to .ai or .cdr so I don't have to do this anymore.
I'm trying to cut out this image (dragon 1-1) out of the solid (blade type 2). I've tired everything and every program and I can't do it, mostly because it always crashes. I cut need the black parts cut out all the way through the design.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Photoshop CS4 running on a 8 gig Vista 64 bit system. When I click on Filters, there is no Extract Filter. I did a search prior to posting and saw some threads talking about not moving files, icons etc from their original folder. I am un sure if anything has been moved. However, when I click on Filters, they all seem to be there (at least not greyed out), EXCEPT for the Extract filter. Any help would be apprecited and if you let me know where the filters should reside I can make sure they are in the correct location.
