View 3 RepliesI am very inexperienced with Graphic Design, but have successfully done many "Cutouts" with my own pictures. I am using Corel Photo Paint X4, specifically the Cutout Lab.
Unfortunately, now that it is important to me, whenever I am finished, preview (which looks fine) and hit OK.......My image is gone. I can somewhat tell, that there is a white vague space where my new image should be, but that is all I get. I think I have now tried it about 20 different ways with the same results.
I have tried multiple times to no avail. Might I be importing my photo differently?
I am using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011. I am wondering if there is a way to assign an mline to a figure style in the Figure Prefix Database. Ultimately I am trying to create storm drains that have a width automatically (ex. 12" SD would come in at 12"). Right now I have a single center line that comes in and I manually offset the line to create a width or I place an mline over the center line.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter making a cutout in the cutout-lab/preview/ok, returning to the main workspace area, there remain, unlike in the instruction DVD, 2 blue dotted lines around the object: one from the rectangular box and one showing the cutout outline. As a result I can't make a clip mask from the object transparency box.
Has it to do with settings not mentioned in the dvd? The 'remove mask button' is inactive. I just picked some bitmaps from the internet and tried to make them into one.
how to do a cutout?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to make a circular cutout or circular crop on an image. This will then be used in another program that prints the label for a DVD/CD.
I have tried the crop tool but I can not get it to make a circle only ovals or squares.
Why does this filter take so long to do and not give me good results as compared with same file size etc in Photoshop 7? Photoshop 7 Cutout filter is awesome; the CS one is a real drag.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a project in photoshop for an art class and I'm wondering, does anyone know how to paste an image into an existing one and get it to look like it was psychically cut out of a magazine and pasted on to the image? It would need to have the edges you get when you cut something out. Any suggestions?
View 4 Replies View Relatedi'm trying to edit the contrast and brightness of my greyscale image, after using the cutout filter. Is there any way that the cutout filter can be applied on the fly while i'm changing the contrast and brightness/shadow and highlight options so that the changes i make get applied through the cutout filter? As at the moment i am having to guess when setting my contrast, shadow and highlight settings before applying the cutout filter.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAnytime I try to cutout a piece of an image and paste it into another image, the final result always turns out bad. It looks exactly like what it is...a cutout pasted onto another image.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've tried several different PS effects trying to get the same effect as here
it's similar to the "vector imaging" but i've seen it with out the colors too with a normal photo that just has the shadows shown in one color...
I have a smaller picture with a larger cutout of one object and I'm wanting to add some trails or something from the small one in the original to the cutout and I'm not sure how to do this. I've tried the shooting star trails tutorial I found but it just didn't work right for the motorcycle.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm tring to make a droplet and it's not working. I've created an action, the action works fine when applied to a photo while in PS, then I went through the steps to create a droplet. I set the droplet to appear on my desktop and the and set it to close and save. So I drag a photo onto the droplet icon and nothing happens, the photos just stay the same.
Ive made a bunch of actions and tried creating droplets for all of them and it's the same thing every time. I get the droplet Icon on my desktop, but when I drag a photo or a file onto it...nothing at all.
i recently cut out a picture of a girl and put it on a black background. the thing is, it doesn't look natural after i put it ( used the extraction method ). now, how do i edit it such that it will look real/nicer?
View 7 Replies View RelatedUsed photoshop a few times before (succesfully!), and need to knock up something involving a infinity loop/symbol, or figure of 8 on it's side. It needs to have a certain shape or thickness. I'm sure i'd figure it out after a few hours, but haven't got the time for that..
View 1 Replies View RelatedAttached are two files. First one is my best attempt at this endevour, the only problem with this one is that it isn't gold, I need it to be gold and the other is that I used the Chrome filter and it completely takes over the picture. I want to it to look like a figure but still be able to see that it's Costanza.
The second is the photoshoped version of the pose that I edited. The original photo was incomplete and had a background. I also made it grayscale in order to make it easier to color gold.
Third is a costanza version that I added the foot and part of the leg.
Ok I'm new to both photoshop and making a website, but I'm diving into both I know most standard websites have 3 columns to them, the main center website and then the side bars of color/design. The side bars are what I'm trying to figure out. The main background color of my website is going to be black, so I would like to have a dark grey side bars but then also wanted to layer 3 different images over the grey, in diagnol rows, parallel with each other, but almost kind of ghosted themselves... Does that make sense? How do I take a picture, and turn it ghosted/transparent almost so that they will show just ever so slightly on the dark grey side bars? Thanks.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to blend cut up pieces of a newspaper type thing into a person's face. I want the text to be visible, but not overt and blended into the skin. Any idea how to get this effect? I had tried by cloning the face and sticking the text between the two layers, which kinda worked, but i want a more "collage" kind of effect.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am getting a hold on using various meathods to paste a selected object (a person) into another image....
but the issue i have is matching the color tonality (i hope i am using the correct word) of the pasted person matching the image i pasted into!! ...
I have tried, the hue and saturation and curves, dodge and burn, brighness and contrast, and a couple of others on the selected person/object it still looks unnatural ..
I'm trying to save an image I was able to "cutout" from one picture, then I want to paste that image onto a different photo. I'm learning about layers (slowly...) and I've watched several tutorials. Everything I've seen/heard makes it look easy, but I'm missing something. Been working on this for several evenings with no luck. Using Photoshop Elements 11.

how to use the marquee tool to delete the bottom 2/3rds of a rounded rectangle.
Here's what I am doing:
Clicking on the rounded rectangle and drawing it to the size I want
selecting the marquee tool and selecting the area of the rounded rectangle I want to delete.
After I selected the area with the marquee tool, I press delete and instead of the area I selected being deleted, the whole layer is deleted instead.
How do you get rid of the 3-figure cursor when in the rectangle select mode?
