May 14, 2012I am trying to add the "circle C" with my name onto my images.

View 7 RepliesI'm taking some photos for my portfolio, when I'm done tweaking them in PS, I go up to the title bar of the document>right-click>File Info, then I'll add my necessary info.
Rather than doing this every time, I remember reading or watching a tutorial years ago about importing copyright info automatically into the photo's "File Info".......
Does anyone know about this? Cause I don't remember how the heck to do it!
How do I create the copyright symbol in Photoshop CS6, Windows7? Alt+0169 does not work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using Lightroom 4.3 to add a copyright watermarking image (png) to existing tiff files for website use. I have several different png files made using Photoshop Elements, with the copyright text set at different transparencies, eg 20/30/40 percent opacity, so that whichever one I use in Lightroom I can always leave the opacity setting in the watermarking dialog at 100% and the images are scaled proportionally to 35%.
The problem is that every time I export the files after setting the watermark position etc, I notice that there is a noticeable loss of both contrast and colour in the newly made tiff files.
Lightroom 4.3, Windows 7, 64-bit.
I'm running Lightroom 4.1, but this issue has been present since Lightroom 3.0 using two different, modern ATI Graphics cards, same Sandy Bridge PC.
On any image, shot with any camera, after a few minutes the info display (image information) and the surrounding area will corrupt. It looks like there's a rectangular box about the width of the image and the height of the info display, where the border of the rectangle is made up of bits of the image, hope that makes sense.
Anyway, pressing "I" to cycle through the info display removes the corruption, but then it returns a few minutes later.
40+ years ago I bought a book from a dealer who sold antique Scottish books. It is A4 in size and has 400 B/W photographs of Scotland.
There is no date in the book but the pictures are late 19th century & early 20th century. There is a reference in it regarding the opening of a new railway line. That line was opened in 1908 and I'm guessing the book is circa 1910.
A few years ago I scanned into my computer several of the views. Like a lot of early photographs the skies are almost non existent. I took out the castles, bridges, etc and made up my own skies in KPT 6.
The finished results are A3 in size.
My question is - is the copyright still valid on the book or am I free to do whatever I want with them?
By the way the company who photographed and published the book is still in existence. Also I'm from Scotland but I'm curious as to how the book would stand regarding copyright throughout the world.
If it's possible to attach File Info such as Copyright to a (final) .png image? I could have sworn that I've done it before but just now it didn't work.
View 18 Replies View RelatedI created an enclosed "object" adding break lines to two different surfaces.
The blue surface shown on the attached drawing is a set of break lines added to "Surface A" and then the red is the other set of break lines added to "Surface B". I have already generated the volume enclosed within the surfaces by doing a surface to surface volume calculation.
My Question:I want to combine the enclosed volume created by Surface A & Surface B into a 3D "Block" that give me the volume information.
I have an app on my iPod called "Photoshop Express", and it has the simple option of 'Tint', which will tint the image the color you want (red, green, etc.). How do you do this on normal, desktop Photoshop?
No fancy "how I like it", I want just the image to be tinted red, or green, or blue, and the image have the color info, meaning if I convert it to Black and White, you could tell a difference in lightness and darkness from the original picture (you can tell it was tinted).
Previous versions of PSE have displayed the date/time info for each image in the organiser. PSE 11 doesn't do this. Where I can change settings so that it does - this info is very usefu to me.

I'm working in a windows environment and have Illustrator CS4. Any scripts out there that might give me a start?

In C3d 2010 I want to make a CB chart which will show the pipe size, starting structure and invert. I would also like to include the CB rim elevation but that would be under the structure table. Is there any way I can combine the RIm elevation with the pipe table?
View 4 Replies View RelatedGIMP looks like more than enough to get me started with photo editing... however i've run into a problem -
Originally there were a few box's around the image that I uploaded, and they had tools and thing's in them (not sure what i only got it earlier) however now all i have is the image - and no toolbox / layer displays or anything.
Not sure how i've turned them off?
Many of my catalog images (LR 3.6) do not show file size or pixel information for the associated image file. I suspect this is a hangover from an import of photos from Photoshop Elements which I used in the past. The problem is that when I put such an image in a slideshow or web gallery, the exported image is not properly displayed.
To get around this, I can export the image files to a hard drive directory in original format, and then re-import them into my web gallery collection. The correct file size info is then available in the catalog, and the image reproduces correctly in the exported gallery.
I know (or at least hope) this is a kludge, and there is a more straightforward method to correct the catalog. I have many photos with incomplete image information.
In lr4.1 before Importing images, I'd like to see more info (camera, lens, focal length, f-stop, exposure time etc.) about the images besides just the file name before making the selection to import.
In the library module I just push the i key and it loops through two sets of info and a non-display. Why can't I do this in the Import module? If yes: how? What options do I set and where? If no: Is there a plugin to do so or who do I ask to add this to the next release?
an image number date and time has appeared on my photos in the top left hand corner while i'm in develop / lightroom.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy first question is, does anyone know the legality's of taking an image with a watermark on it, changing it with photoshop and removing the watermark?
Granted, I know that the watermark is there to prevent a picture as being claimed by someone else. However if that picture is changed and no longer the original, is it then fair game to remove the watermark?
I created a custom brush with my logo on it and then created an action that puts my copyright logo as watermark. The problem is copyright logo gets placed on different places on different size image. For example, I created the action to put logo on the lower right hand corner of a standard 800x640 pixel horizontal image. When I run this action on a vertical image, logo gets placed somewhere on the top. If the image is in higher resolution, logo gets placed somewhere in the middle.
How can I modify the action so the copyright logo gets placed in the same place? I guess I am thinking if there is a way I could calculate the image size and put the logo from certain percentage away from the lower end corner automatically?
i would like to put some of my diving videos on my website and youtube.com , but i don't know how to put copyright text at the bottom of the screen.

It's an e-commerce site for some sports related jewelry that he made, and he wants to protect the logos we worked on and the site design. What I've usually seen are people slapping a copyright date on their work and calling it good. However, I don't think that's really going to protect anything from being ripped off. I'm looking at websites and what it looks like is that I have to get an attorney and file some paperwork with the US Copyright Office.

I have a question concerning copy right of Photoshop CS3 Extended software. Is it legal to sell a version of CS3 Extended on a flashdrive? There is a company that is selling it on a flashdrive and they claim that it doesn't have to be activated but the help files have been removed and the software cannot be undated.I asked the company about the software and they claimed it is legal. This is what they said; This is not an illegal copy. The "Patent and Legal Notices" in the "Help" menu clearly state in the (EULA) the following (section:2 paragraph 2):"Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of the Unicode data files and associated documentation (the “Data Files”) or Unicode software and associated documentation (the “Software”) to deal in the Data Files or Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, and/or sell copies of the Data Files or Software, and to permit persons to whom the Data Files or Software are furnished to do so, provided that (a) the above copyright notice(s) and this permission notice appear in all copies of the Data Files or Software, (b) both the above copyright notice(s) and this permission notice appear in associated documentation, and © there is clear notice in each modified Data File or in the Software as well as in the documentation associated with the Data File(s) or Software that the data or software has been modified". if this is legal.
