Photoshop :: Possible To Attach File Info To Final PNG Image
Aug 30, 2013If it's possible to attach File Info such as Copyright to a (final) .png image? I could have sworn that I've done it before but just now it didn't work.

View 18 RepliesIf I load a large image (say 5400 px sq.) in Paint.net (or similar) & choose a zoom level where I like the look / size of individual elements, in ONE area. Image is still no where near 100%.
I select a rectangle so the ACTUAL size of rectangle_AND the way the selection looks AT THAT ZOOM level, is what I want. Say, to use as Fx header background.
Problem I've had: Because the image I initially cropped wasn't at 100%, when crop it - the PHYSICAL size of the rectangle may be 1920 x 180 px, but the prgm still thinks / knows it's really 3500 x 450 (or such), at 40% zoom. I can't just save the image - as it looks on screen - & it be that size when reopen it.
I DON'T want to resize / resample it, because (sometimes) that changes the current look (size of certain elements in the image). The only way I've found (gotta be another way) is take a screen shot of the cropped image, at it's CURRENT zoom level. Then it will save as a 1920 x 180 px image, NOT as a 3500 x 450 px image that was at reduced zoom.
If I resize & save at a REDUCED %, it can change the look & size of elements. Every thing I've tried to save the image - at it's PHYSICAL size on screen - say 18.5 in. x 1.75 in. (when image is NOT @ 100% zoom), results in saving a much larger image. I understand this, but looking for a way around it. Used various settings & tried to trick the apps many ways - cropping in one app, copying to another - you name it.
I've been asked to do a poster A2 size 594mm x 420mm 300dpi but when i enter these dimensions my pc is slowing down dramatically. whats the best way to achieve better performance?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to save images from one file to a final modified one. Two problems:
1) Some images are unedited and save sometimes but not always. Why?
2) Some are a combination of an original plus a transformed close-up from another image. When the finished edited image saves, it is much smaller than the few unedited images that did successfully save. Why?
The images are digital photos of my jewelry. In order to decrease the number of pages on my impending website, I am attempting to transfer, when one is available, a resized close-up to the other shot of the full set (close-ups are what sell the work!). Some of the images show 25% on the top bar but that doesn't seem to make a difference as to whether it will save or not. Others (I notice they seem to be more horizontal images) are 16.7% ? I tried to upload example images to illustrate what I am trying to do but kept getting an error message.
I have made a scene in 3ds max design 2013, using all default materials of autodesk and I am rendering using mental ray. the final image rendered in a very good quality has lot of black patches.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if it was possible to set a setting in Lightroom such that when looking through my images in the Library module, I only see the final edited image. For example, if I send the image to Photoshop to do any retouches, it creates a copy of the file. When I save the file in Photoshop, I then have two images in the Library module. However, I would like to keep all the history, but when browsing through my images I would only like to see the final image.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to just open any image and my copyright info would be inserted into the file data. I guess it was a droplet, "when the file is opened or created then add file info from a xmp file". I still have the xmp file with all the data in but i am unsure how to implement it being automatically opened and added to the file when i create a new one? I thought i could handle it, i assume its a droplet of some sort.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter I save a file for "Web & Devices," when I open it, it returns this message, "This file contains file info data which cannot be read and has been ignored." Will this cause any problem with the file once I place it in the website I'm building? I've never seen this message before on a photo I've edited. The changes I made involved color correction.

When first making the video in Edit mode, is there any way to see the final output size before or after selecting Create Video File before the file is created.
If I choose Create Disk it will show the output size.
If not what would the maximum running time be for DVD output?
I have been working in a 3ds Max 2011 file for a few days with a AutoCAD 2011 dwg linked. It has been working fine. I have just tried to reload the CAD file as I have been doing all along and it now has the error message "Unable to attach this file; the file may be missing, corrupted, or may not contain valid data".I have tried starting a new Max file and attaching various other CAD files but none will work, I get this error every single time.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have images for which clients have made comments on what they want done to them. I don't find a right place to place that informatiomn in Lightroom and something tells me there should be such a place.
For instance, I have one image that the client wants a specific background replaced.
Is there a way to save my copyright info and contact info with a picture but NOT include the Camera Data.

I trying to attach a CPT file to a post.
I see where the "insert media" button, but when I try to upload the pic it says invalid file type.
I'm trying to attach a DWG file to my post but it is appearing not to let me. Shouldn't I be able to attach that type of file? Or is there another file type I should be using?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm running Lightroom 4.1, but this issue has been present since Lightroom 3.0 using two different, modern ATI Graphics cards, same Sandy Bridge PC.
On any image, shot with any camera, after a few minutes the info display (image information) and the surrounding area will corrupt. It looks like there's a rectangular box about the width of the image and the height of the info display, where the border of the rectangle is made up of bits of the image, hope that makes sense.
Anyway, pressing "I" to cycle through the info display removes the corruption, but then it returns a few minutes later.
I have tried everything. The rulers are showing but are not attached to the image.

View 2 Replies View RelatedModifying the "file info" for a gif file (in my case, "General" tab, "Document Title" and "Description") doesn't actually get saved with the file - or, at least, if it is saved, it's not visible when re-opening the file.
I believe that I understood that metadata for .png format isn't supported, but I thought that .gif was. (Test case is easy: open .gif file, add a Title and Description, save, and re-open - information is gone).
I need to install a custom one that is working for CS5 and CS6, so that it can be seen and used in CC. But I don't know where to put it? (on the Mac)
for CS5 it goes here:
Main 3.0: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/XMP/Custom File Info Panels/3.0/panels/
User 3.0: /Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/XMP/Custom File Info Panels/3.0/panels
for CS6 it goes here:
Main 4.0: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/XMP/Custom File Info Panels/4.0/panels/
User 4.0: /Users/[userName]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/XMP/Custom File Info Panels/4.0/panels
if there is a way to erase all of the file info in photoshop? Camera make & model, F stop, shutterspeed, etc.?
View 2 Replies View Relatedhow scratch files work in CS4?
- Scratch files seem to be created even in 64 bit Photoshop with plenty of unused memory, so they are apparently not regular swap/page files. What sort of data Photoshop CS4 writes to them and why isn't this information kept in memory instead?
- Do scratch file writes/reads occur at the same time as operating system paging? Is there any practical reason not to put PS scratch disk and OS paging file on the same physical drive?
- Do scratch files benefit more from higher bandwidth or faster seek time?
- What is the typical ratio for Photoshop CS4 for reads and writes to scratch files?
ok so Does anyone know how to change your File Info in photoshop... well I want to change the name of my Camera in it....

When attach image (tif) with no path. is saved, de image will be saved without a path. dir. Only when we change the image (with RasterCAD) when we now save the drawing the hole path dir. will be saved.
When we used AutoCAD 2006 this will not be the case. The tiff. will stay no path. We move/copy drawing with image to other dir. very often.

Problem is that the image will be saved in the wrong dir.
