I would like to automate the creation of a frame with top rounded corners around images as shown in the image below. The rounded corners should always be the same size and angle no matter the size of the picture.
I'm having problems creating and recording a suitable photoshop action that would work for any picture dimension and that won't resize the top rounded corners.

I'm trying to create an action to put a watermark and gold frame on photos (Photoshop CS6). I will need to add it to many photos at a time (100+) so plan to add it to a folder using automate, batch. I've created the action and when I use it on another image to test it the frame doesn't fit, it's really blown up and warped. The two images are the same size, neither have been cropped at all, I used the same camera, same lens, everything is the same, so why doesn't it fit?
I'm guessing it's something to do with the size of the gold frame image as the actual watermark is fine, but I'm a bit confused, it's as if the two images are different sizes or one has been cropped, but this isn't the case.
P.S The photos are just to test the action, I'm not actually giving a gold frame to the wedding photos!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to record an action for a simple white frame, to add to some photo. the way I do it, is first change the background layer to a layer 0, then (image/canvas size then put it at 5% relative, then control click the layer thumbnail to select the picture only, then (edit/stroke...width 20%...color white... location outside, (select/deselect, and I go to the layer blending mode to add a drop shadow. finaly save as jpg. stop recording.
But when I open the jpg file, the extention of the canvas is white and not transparent it show white. What can I do to have the canvas extention transparent as a jpg file ?
I would like to use a photo frame from connect, and keep it in the Effects>Creative>Frame menu of frames. I have downloaded and clicked and dragged the frame to my image, but I would like to reuse this frame. Is it possible to add it to the menu? I can download it to the menu - but it is a temporary item in the list of views to the right, which can be replaced from any of the permanent members of the dropdown selection of frames on the left of the Frame menu. I would like a frame to become one of those "permanent frames."

I have a new digital photo frame that displays images at 480 X 234. Is there any easy technique in Photoshop to crop images to this size (or close), without manually drawing a rectangular marquee and trying to guess at it's size? Is there any way to draw a 480 X 234 pixel rectangle and then position it over the photo, then crop to the rectangle? I tried creating an action to do this but it did not work right. It only works for one layer selected individually. If I select multiple layers, then it forms nested groups. How do I create this action? I am using adobe photoshop cs6 ( I think) , windows 7.

I have multiple photos that I am running an action on but each photo is replacing the one before using the same file name. instead of using the original file name. So I end up with 1 edited photo!!! from the action!This is happening using cs5 I have not encounted this before.

I'd like for the 'frame' to make the footage look like a 1920's photo that is damaged around the edges. I want to give the audience the impression they are looking at an old photo that has an animated video in it.
I've exported a few samples as a test. The center was transparent upon export, yet became white when I re-opened the image. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. The background setting was selected as 'transparent'.

I have 200 different tiffs in another folder (named 'luma matte 1-200').
I've have copied the first images of the 'luma matte 1.tiff' (a black and white image) and pasted it into a newly created alpha layer in 'the image 1.tiff' channel window.
I save this out as a new tiff called 'composite 1' and it works in the way I require it to work.
How would I automate this process rather than having to do it individually for all the 200 files. I'm not sure if this can be done with a series of actions/batch? I dont want to use After Effects luma key as this isn't giving me the correct results.
I'm trying to simplify the creation of several preview thumbs from one image. For example, my base image is a 400x600px image, and from this image I need to create the following thumbs:
1: 90x120px
2: 120x90px
3: 100x100px
4: ...
(Please look at the image i attached)
I need an Action that would Crop the base image and save a copy of each of these thumbs. I can't fugure out how to do this since I need to adjust the Marquee selection for each thumb to Crop the part of the base image I want.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAnyway, my quest is to create an action in CS3 that will position and size text (eg. center) as a watermark in any size image. Currently I am creating a copyright symbol, then a text layer and then another text layer and either grouping them in the action or merging them down as created to be in one layer. This works fine as long as I run the action on another file of the same size but when it comes across a different size file the components are all over the place and differently sized.
I gotta admit I don't know a lot about text though. Just thought someone may be able to help me with this one so thanks to all who contribute.
I have a logo consisting of four (4) text elements (see attachment) that I would like to be able to create through an action. The problem I'm having is that the document is not always the same size and PS sees percentages for text placement. I need to have the text placed in relation to each other regardless of the documents size.
