Photoshop :: Color Pallet
May 13, 2007I'm using Photoshop 7.0 and somehow managed to move the "movement bar" at the top of the color pallet off of the visible screen. I also moved to "okay" button off. By the "color pallet," I mean the box that comes up when I click on the currently active color to try and change it. How do I move the box back on screen? I've tried changing the resolution on my computer, but no dice.

Feb 11, 2013I have PS-CS6 i need to send clients channel separated file saved as DCS files - they have CS4 and CS5 - when the try to open these files - message reads ( COLOR PALETTE NOT AVAILABLE ) and it won't let them open the files - I did the same thing in the same way while using CS3 - 4 and 5 and those worked fine - Just when i updated to 6 -

In X6 it give you the RGB coding instead and only shows you 80% Black when you have it fully open to show the color names. Is there a way that part can show up like X3?

In X5 for example, 40% black shows as solid black on the color bar as with any other percentage. Also, is there any way to have the buttons (side bar) look like the ones in X3?

Dec 20, 2011We are facing a strange problem in Corel Draw X4 and X3.First Corel Draw X4 corrupted its color pallet so that all colors were shown completely wrong.After that I tried to instal Corel Draw X3 which seemed to work ok. After a while when opening some older files, Corel corrupts these files. After I have opened them they are completelty empty and the file size is something like 10kb.

Sep 20, 2012Snap seems to be on even if I turn it off. In CS6 I can arbitrarily create a circle. Then I create a cross shape I want to place in the center of the circle. I can place it near the center but somehow, there are these 'no man's land' unplaceable areas that are small increments but nevertheless there. I have all snaps turned off. Center objects on an axis doesn't work either.
I've tried this with Smart Guides on and off. I have tried placing a horizontal and verticle guide and turned snap to guides on, but still the cross will not allow me to move exactly where I want it.

Jul 24, 2013I have an issue with a sliding joint in a simulation.Here we have a very simple box with a cylinder that slides around a closed loop curve. The curve as you will see is described by two circles and one elipse that all overlap to give a smooth closed loop. In the assemble this all works fine - you can freely drag the cylinder around the curve. However in dynamic simulation when I try to insert a 'sliding cyclinder on curve' joint I get the message that only lines, arcs and splines can be used for a curve. If I change the elipse to another circle then I don't have this problem. So is Inventor restricted to arcs of circles rather than arcs of elipses? Is there a way around this?, Do have I have to draw the whole curve as a spline?

Jun 25, 2012I am planning to get some photos printed on vinyl wallpaper. The physical dimensions of the wall paper will be 1300mm x 2500mm and as I am ordering it online, there is an upload restriction of 8MB (file formats allowed are .pdf .jpg and .zip).
I would like to collage multiple images to create my wallpaper and plan to resize and edit each image before collating them in one large image. Then I will resize that image to be the final one (if that makes sense).
What I want to know is, is there any simple way to work out what my final image's pixel width and height will need to be to fit the 8MB restriction? I have no idea what the printing dpi is, the website only indicates that images should be 'at least 4MB for good quality'...which means nothing.
Ideally I would like to work with a starting image with 4x or 16x the pixels so it resizes nicely...I just don't know where to start.

Aug 17, 2012I have all my pallets on my second display. In Photoshop CS6, when I open or close a layer group folder in the Layers pallet, the cursor becomes jittery and stuttered. If I move the mouse off the pallet, the mouse returns to normal, and mouse tracking is smooth.
If I move the mouse back over the Layers pallet, it's fine, until I interact with a layer on that pallet. At which point, the jittery mouse action returns. I know this wasn't an issue with CS5, but I also recently upgraded to Mountain Lion, so it's possible it's a Mountain Lion/PS6 quirk.

Photoshop :: Character Pallet Does Not List All Fonts
Sep 23, 2008On all previous versions of photoshop, whatever fonts were in the windows/fonts folder were available to use in the character pallet. Now, with CS3, only the system fonts show up. Some of the other fonts are listed separately at the bottom of the list...but by name only. Meaning they are not actually the font style that they claim to be.
