how i can print a color pallet or swatch in photoshop cs2. We have been using Netgraphics which uses its own color pallet and we need to export them now to tiff and match up the colors by comparing our old pallet to the photoshop pallet.
My CorelMacros.CreateColorSwatch macro has stopped dumping the swatches into whatever blank Letter-sized document I have open (which is how it used to work) and instead it is creating a new document, at 4.25" wide x 7" high, and dumping the swatches into that. Using Pantone Solid Coated, but it's doing this regardless of what palette I choose.
There is no option in the Macro's dialog box to alter or even instantiate a page size, and I cannot find in the code of the macro where to set this variable.
I'm using Photoshop 7.0 and somehow managed to move the "movement bar" at the top of the color pallet off of the visible screen. I also moved to "okay" button off. By the "color pallet," I mean the box that comes up when I click on the currently active color to try and change it. How do I move the box back on screen? I've tried changing the resolution on my computer, but no dice.
I’ve noticed a trend in photos altered to be used as wall art. You can see an example here

I would like to know what techniques I could try to get similar color pallets. Or if I found a color pallet that is interest me how can I adjust the colors in my photographs to match the color pallet?
I have PS-CS6 i need to send clients channel separated file saved as DCS files - they have CS4 and CS5 - when the try to open these files - message reads ( COLOR PALETTE NOT AVAILABLE ) and it won't let them open the files - I did the same thing in the same way while using CS3 - 4 and 5 and those worked fine - Just when i updated to 6 -
I usually use a dual monitor setup (Photoshop on one and all of my pallets on the other), but occasionally, when traveling, I need to use a single monitor. But then, when I get back to my 2-monitor setup, all of my pallet locations are lost.
Is there a file where the PS pallet locations are stored (like and ini file maybe?) that I could save elsewhere on my computer to easily restore them?
i closed my pallet/styles box which i have never closed and have no clue how to reopen it. as my nephew is 4yrs old he wasn't of much help either. i can find nothing anywhere in photoshop CS2 version that allows me to reopen that or any other box that normally is there when i open the program.
I have all my pallets on my second display. In Photoshop CS6, when I open or close a layer group folder in the Layers pallet, the cursor becomes jittery and stuttered. If I move the mouse off the pallet, the mouse returns to normal, and mouse tracking is smooth.
If I move the mouse back over the Layers pallet, it's fine, until I interact with a layer on that pallet. At which point, the jittery mouse action returns. I know this wasn't an issue with CS5, but I also recently upgraded to Mountain Lion, so it's possible it's a Mountain Lion/PS6 quirk.
The tool pallets in all my Creative apps Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign have just stopped working, ie the secondary hidden tools do not appear when you click on the tool, so I am unable to access the other tools. Seems like it should be something pretty simple, but it is eluding me,
what is the difference between the History pallet and the Edit>undo command. When I want to correct a mistake I have just gone in and deleted that History state. Although it gets the job done maybe this is not the best way to do it.
What is the difference between the two way of backing up and when do you use each one.
On all previous versions of photoshop, whatever fonts were in the windows/fonts folder were available to use in the character pallet. Now, with CS3, only the system fonts show up. Some of the other fonts are listed separately at the bottom of the list...but by name only. Meaning they are not actually the font style that they claim to be.
How do I change the color pallet? I keep trying, but the foreground and background colors will only stick on B&W. I also need to know how to change an image to have a transparant background.
I just downloaded Photoshop Elements 12. I use 2 monitors for photo editing. How to detach the layers pallet from the photo in PE 12? Also, how do you separate the tabs into separate pallets -- navigator, histogram, etc?
I'm working in PSE8. All the actions I've purchased (from Florabella, etc.) have disappeared from the Effect pallet on the right hand side of my screen. I've checked to make sure that they are all still installed
and they are all there (ATN, JPG, PTN and Safari document versions). Why can't I see them in Effects anymore? How can I use them in PSE? I didn't make any changes. I've tried resetting everything, restarting numerous times.
My Actions have disappeard from my effects pallet.
I woke my computer up and it was 'shutting down' so apparently it was installing stuff. When I opened PSE my effects pallet was back to 'default mode'. I went into the 'photo creations' in my computer and they are all still in there but just not showing up in the effects panel. I have deleted the thumb data, and the media data all to no avail. Restarted my computer several times... NOTHING.
Why are the image thumbnails in the channels pallet not showing up as grayscale images? They used to, and for some reason or another aren't any more for me. Instead, they are showing up red, green, and blue for each respective channel. I'm on Mac, using CS6.
How do you stack different photos in the editor layers pallet? I can get different photos in the editor, but I cannot figure out how to get different photos into the layers pallet at the same time.
Is there a way that we can have the default color pallet to work like X3 where you hover over the color and it would say 80% Black? In X6 it give you the RGB coding instead and only shows you 80% Black when you have it fully open to show the color names. Is there a way that part can show up like X3?
I have placed the History pallet on the right side to join Layers and Materials several times. I have saved Workplaces to include that History pallet. It does not stick.Reopen Psp and no history pallet.
Replace History and it will hide and stay there for that session. Is there a trick for getting the History palette to stay?
If I open an image that I have previously created (I'm working with .gif) and then select a colour on the pallet (it can be either FG or BG) and then try to place the colour on to the image - the colour is different to what I selected on the pallet.
I have the same issue with the 'bucket fill tool' or by selecting 'edit/fill with FG color' or by selecting 'edit/fill with BG color' or by placing a selected color text onto the image. I haven't tried using any other method.
I've tried deleting and reinstalling Gimp and I'm on Win XP PRO SP3.
I just want to be able to put the swatches in a library into a specific order. I don't see a way to do this I'm just missing it. A google search did not provide any useful insight into this so I figured the next step would be to ask here.
Edit: I have figured out how to edit the .aco as text, but there must be an easier way. This will work for now, but in the long run this will not be a reasonable solution.
