i've been looking around on the web for tutorials on how to slim down the rounded belly, make it look a lil' buff, and possibly proceed on to make it into 6pecs.. but to no avail yet. maybe i used the wrong keywords, like fats/blubber/slim down etc.. but i still can't find it.
I'm using CS4. I have multiple layers of text and I want each one to have a different drop shadow effect. When I try to chnge the settings of one layer's shadow, all the layers change. Is there a way to stop this?
I'm not sure what I did to make this happen or how to change it back, but for some reason when I change the size of an object/line it changes the stroke weight as well. (For example, if I drew an ellipse with stroke weight 2 pt, and then increased the size the stroke weight would be 2.856 pt or some such number instead of 2 pt.) How to change this back?
The attached files are two sprockets. The original part has 30 teeth. I need 34 teeth.
The MODIFIED part has one of my attempts at making 34 teeth. I have tried the following with the same error dialog box (see below):
1. Edit Sketch_6 (associated with Extrusion1) by deleting all but one of the teeth lines (2 arcs and 2 lines that make up a tooth) and making a circular pattern of 34.
2. Same circular pattern, except this time I "Close the Loop" (right-click on one of the teeth line segments > Close Loop > click on all the segments until the loop is closed).
3. Same circular pattern, except this time change the resulting patterned lines into construction lines, trace these lines with arcs and lines of my own (not construction lines), and close the loop on my own lines.
When each of the 3 attempts failed, I tried deleting Extrusion1 and making a new Extrusion feature from Sketch_6. I cannot select what I want in Sketch_6 in order to make the teeth.
I'm at the point where I'm just going to take the dimensions from the circular pattern sketch of 34 teeth, delete Extrusion1 and Sketch_6, and make my own sketch and extrusion.
For the future, I really would like to know - why is it so difficult to alter features like this? Yes, I understand that Sketch_6 is not fully constrained, and on top of this I am not privy to how it was generated in the first place (this is a part file from a vendor). But it does not strike me as something overly complicated for the Extrusion feature to recognize a change in its associated sketch. This is not the first time I have encountered something like this.
I want to change the size of the image in Gimp to 3957x4429 px (67x75 cm) at a 150dpi (the image we have has a 300 dpi.) When i do this in image - print size it keeps changing the width.
The system is not allowing me to get the picture a few cm larger. Is there any way I can overwrite this?
I've been using Photoshop CS2 for several years to enhance my photographs, but just now have encountered something simple I cannot find out how to do.  I have on the background layer a picture of a room interior with the exposure set mostly for the open window, but the rest of the room is very dark. On the only other layer, the upper one, I have the same shot exposed correctly for the room, which overexposes the window area. The upper and lower layers are perfectly superimposed, and the upper layer is at 100% opacity.Â
I have selected the window on the upper layer and want to change the selected area's opacity to blend properly with the window on the bottom layer without changing opacity of the rest of the layer. No matter what I do, changing opacity seems to affect only the entire layer, and I haven't figured out how to isolate the selected area for the opacity change.  I can cut the selection to reveal the darker window on the bottom layer, but this doesn't give me the flexibility I need to balance the two exposures. An opacity change would be ideal.
I am having trouble in changing the color of the bullets without changing the text color. Problem is I cannot select/highlight just the bullet so any new color selected applies to the whole line including bullet and text. I am using DP v 7.
Does changing the dpi of an image change the resolution of the image without changing the size?I have an image that is 300 dpi that I need to enlarge 400% changing the dpi to 75.I don't think manually changing the dpi to 600 will actually change the clarity of the image when enlarged 400%.
If I click on Open image on a 16 bit image in Raw Photoshop opens as 16 bit. But if I open it from within photoshop or from Bridge, it opens as 8 bit (when it was a 16 bit TIFF image)
I have just recently bought Photoshop, When I use the magnifier, it sometimes zooms on the left mouse button and zooms out on the right mouse button. Other times it doesn't do this. Why does it keep changing and how do I get it to stay on L/R button zoom?  I have just created my new site that has many English teachers on Skype All this was done using Photoshop cs6 but I had the problem with the zoom the whole time!
I am using Creative Cloud CS6 on a monthly subscription.I want to move from a Windows environment onto a new iMAC.I realise that they are different products of course and different downloads  How do I organise this with Adobe. Specifically, as I have been wandering around the Adobe forest all morning and can't find out exactly how to do this.
I've used Windows based computers for the last 8 years and recently switched to a new Macbook Pro. I own a copy of Adobe CS4 Web Premium, which I purchased back in 2008. I've also previously purchased a license for Adobe Photoshop CS3, and Dreamweaver CS3 back in 2007. Â I've now changed over to a Mac, and lo and behold, after calling Adobe Technical Support, they won't let me cross-grade / switch platforms for my CS4 to Mac. I am incredibly saddenned and upset considering I've spent around $3000 for these products already. They also told me that I can't even pay a fee to switchover my product to the newest CS6 edition and move it to my Mac platform. What type of business does not allow you to pay a fee to change over?
I have decided not to go ahead with purchasing the Cloud monthly registration. So my only option left seems to be to sell my current windows based web premium license, and then purchase the newest CS6 web premium license for Mac.
I take pictures of my fountain pens and mechanical pencils using a light box and a digital camera. Naturally, the backround is white. I would like to be able to change this white color to something else on occasion but don't know how to go about it in Photoshop. I am NOT a power user. I use Photoshop CS5 64 bit.
Keep in mind that sometimes there is also white in the pen in places and I do not want to change anything at all on the color of the pen.
I couldn't find any tips with regards to how to use a "syntax" to rename the file just before "saving as" or "saving for web" options in PS. To understand what I'm trying to achieve, please let me describe the case on the example below: I have the file "picture.jpg" (1024x768) What I'm trying to do is:- Resize the image down to size 800x600- Save it in the same folder using "save for web" as "picture_large.jpg"- Resize the image again, this time down to size 600x480- Save it in the same folder using "save for web" as "picture_medium.jpg" So after the first step in my action I need to add the suffix "_large" and after the third step I need to add the suffix "_medium".
after the second try of getting the trial version, it was in french, which means that i dont have a clue how to use it. does anyone know how to change the language in photoshop, because i realy dont want to have to download it again!
I have a picture that I would like to change the color on. Is there a way to sellect all of a given color, say Pantone #150 +-10 points to Pantone 825 +-10 points automatically?
I would like to use the eyedropper tool to pick the color on the picture as the starting color and in the color selection area for the ending color and have Photoshop handle the change for me.
I have used Hue and Saturation as well as Color Balance but the results always look kind of cartoonish.
I'm using CS3 on a Dell PC. Trying to work on a selection with the lasso. Works fine for a while then I go to zoom tool and it has changed from + to -. I can not save. Have to shut down and reboot. I have tried eliminating the preferences (s+alt+delete on boot up) Did not help.
How do you take a face/body from one pic and put it on another picture and make it look seamless? There is one thread with people putting a face on movie posters and stuff, how do u do that? I can never get it to look right.
how to change the background of the below photo. The main reason is to remove the harsh shadow but I would also like to experiment with different backgrounds.
If I was to film a movie recorded in front of a blue or green screen, is there an easy way I can replace the blue/green screen with a background of my choice like they would in films like Star Wars?
Also, if you had a camera set up on a tripod and filmed someone moving around, is there a way of removing the background IF it is the same as it was in the layer before / int eh previous frame in ImageReady?
to change many of the colors on these rugs to new colors she has provided me on a color sample sheet. The Magic Wand tool is not the answer as it gives a very rough selection and I need the kind of lines the polygonal Lasso Tool would make.
