Jul 24, 2013

I am trying to produce a new logo for our business that has a solid Blue cloud image on a transparent background. I need to add text over this but ideally it will show as white over the cloud background but blue when its over the transparent background.

Cant simply change the color of text as its a curved edge its going over. I assume I will need to do some form of punch out but not sure how to start this.

Illustrator :: How To Stop Changing Stroke Weights When Changing Size Of Object In CS5 On Windows 7

Mar 20, 2013

I'm not sure what I did to make this happen or how to change it back, but for some reason when I change the size of an object/line it changes the stroke weight as well. (For example, if I drew an ellipse with stroke weight 2 pt, and then increased the size the stroke weight would be 2.856 pt or some such number instead of 2 pt.) How to change this back?

AutoCAD Inventor :: Changing Extrusion By Changing Sketch Results In Errors

May 9, 2013

The attached files are two sprockets. The original part has 30 teeth. I need 34 teeth.

The MODIFIED part has one of my attempts at making 34 teeth. I have tried the following with the same error dialog box (see below):

1. Edit Sketch_6 (associated with Extrusion1) by deleting all but one of the teeth lines (2 arcs and 2 lines that make up a tooth) and making a circular pattern of 34.

2. Same circular pattern, except this time I "Close the Loop" (right-click on one of the teeth line segments > Close Loop > click on all the segments until the loop is closed).

3. Same circular pattern, except this time change the resulting patterned lines into construction lines, trace these lines with arcs and lines of my own (not construction lines), and close the loop on my own lines.

When each of the 3 attempts failed, I tried deleting Extrusion1 and making a new Extrusion feature from Sketch_6. I cannot select what I want in Sketch_6 in order to make the teeth.

I'm at the point where I'm just going to take the dimensions from the circular pattern sketch of 34 teeth, delete Extrusion1 and Sketch_6, and make my own sketch and extrusion.

For the future, I really would like to know - why is it so difficult to alter features like this? Yes, I understand that Sketch_6 is not fully constrained, and on top of this I am not privy to how it was generated in the first place (this is a part file from a vendor). But it does not strike me as something overly complicated for the Extrusion feature to recognize a change in its associated sketch. This is not the first time I have encountered something like this.

Photoshop :: Changing Text

Apr 7, 2006

i purchased a template for my website, my template came in PSD Format - now when i load it into photoshop i can edit the test i want to change fairly eazily when i use the T (typing tool) and click on the text i want to edit.

Now, some part when i click on the text i would like to edit allows me to put text in and select colors, fonts and so forth but it does not let me overide the existing text. So i take it this part is not formated correctly or the same as the rest of the template is.

Now i figure i can edit what i want my template to look like in that area i want to change the data but then the old text will remain so i would have to someone earse the old text or something first...

Photoshop :: Changing Text Color Of JPG?

Sep 20, 2012

I am a web designer and regularly get sent logos etc from clients. More recently I have been sent a jpg image black and white of a girl with a wedding veil on. There is some handwriting text to the left which is a white colour.

As I dont have access to the original psd file I am trying to find an easy way to change the text colour to a pink the client has chosen.

I am using adobe photoshop cs6 and have tried using the colour swap option under image tab but it just seems to change the colour to gray and not the pink i have selected.

Photoshop :: Changing Text Font In CS6?

Jul 29, 2013

Very difficult to change a font in Photoshop CS6: I select the font then go to the dropdown (either the side panel or the options panel at top; same results) and BEGIN TO scroll down to find the font I want to change to. After a couple seconds, the list pops back up to the top. Usually I cannot scroll past the fonts beginning with M or N before it overrides my scrolling and pops back to the top again, If I can select quickly, I can sometimes nab a different font that starts with a B or C, but hardly ever one I am seeking.

Photoshop :: Changing Text Color?

Jan 28, 2009

Can someone tell me if the following is possible?

I write a line of text. I would now like to select the text field to change the color of the text rather than highlighting the actual text itself. This is because highlighting the text changes the bg color to black over the text you highlight and alters the color of the text (I think it inverts it). Is this possible?

Photoshop :: Changing Text In A .PSD File

I can change everything about the text layers, except the text It's probably something very easy, but I'm a complete Photoshop newbie. Could it be that I don't have that font installed, or something like that?

Photoshop :: Changing Opacity In Selection On Layer Without Changing Entire Layer

Aug 21, 2013

I've been using Photoshop CS2 for several years to enhance my photographs, but just now have encountered something simple I cannot find out how to do.   I have on the background layer a picture of a room interior with the exposure set mostly for the open window, but the rest of the room is very dark.  On the only other layer, the upper one, I have the same shot exposed correctly for the room, which overexposes the window area.  The upper and lower layers are perfectly superimposed, and the upper layer is at 100% opacity.

I have selected the window on the upper layer and want to change the selected area's opacity to blend properly with the window on the bottom layer without changing opacity of the rest of the layer.  No matter what I do, changing opacity seems to affect only the entire layer, and I haven't figured out how to isolate the selected area for the opacity change.

I can cut the selection to reveal the darker window on the bottom layer, but this doesn't give me the flexibility I need to balance the two exposures. An opacity change would be ideal.

Photoshop :: Changing Image Color

Oct 30, 2013

I have a series of images that are color photos of a three-dimensional, cream colored object. The objects have clipping paths around them and sit on a dark background. I have some new images that I need to incorporate into the layout, but their color is a different "cast", more gray than the other cream images.

I would like to apply the original color to the new images. It would be best if this could be done in the InDesign document, but if necessary, I can do it in Photoshop.

Photoshop :: Neutralizing And Changing Colors On Image

Jun 1, 2013

I've been having trouble with this render I've created, in that I'm trying to change the colors on this character's hand from the orange tint that some of his fingers have due to firearm discharge, to a more neutralized color that matches another part of his hand, particularly his lower pinky finger. The reason why is I've changed the original color of the gun he's holding to something darker, and I want his hands to reflect the change in color as well.

I've tried everything from painting over the fingers, clone stamping, adjusting the curves, the shadows, the tones, the highlights, and even adjusting the hue and saturation, yet I'm still not getting the results I desire.

Attached are pictures illustrating what I mean, with circles around the problem areas, and a PSD of what I've tried to accomplish so far.

[URL]........

And again, to clarify, I want to change the colors of the subjects fingers that have an orange glow to them to a more neutral tone and to have them have the same color as the subject's pinky finger, which is also circled in blue.
