I am currently unable to access the color table in the mode image section. It is blank so that I cannot select it...any pointers? Also, I am having a hard time changing the colors on my jpeg image and changing the white part of the image transparent.Â
View 4 RepliesI've been having trouble with this render I've created, in that I'm trying to change the colors on this character's hand from the orange tint that some of his fingers have due to firearm discharge, to a more neutralized color that matches another part of his hand, particularly his lower pinky finger. The reason why is I've changed the original color of the gun he's holding to something darker, and I want his hands to reflect the change in color as well.
I've tried everything from painting over the fingers, clone stamping, adjusting the curves, the shadows, the tones, the highlights, and even adjusting the hue and saturation, yet I'm still not getting the results I desire.
Attached are pictures illustrating what I mean, with circles around the problem areas, and a PSD of what I've tried to accomplish so far.

And again, to clarify, I want to change the colors of the subjects fingers that have an orange glow to them to a more neutral tone and to have them have the same color as the subject's pinky finger, which is also circled in blue.
I've been having this problem for some time now. I edit my images and save them but the saved copies in their folders are always 1) darker and 2) with less color. However, when I put the images back into photoshop, they look as they did just before I saved them. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this or what might be causing it?
Also, when I do a lot of editing in one go, I get a message that I'm running out of memory on my C drive, even though photoshop is installed on my much larger D drive.
I have imported this jpeg into illustrator. How do I edit the color of the image, as in the color of the letters?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am designing a logo of the sun rising over the earth from the perspective of earth orbit. The general look will be of the sun(looks like a star) illuminating a narrow crescent of the earth. I am working on a picture, trying to adapt it for the logo. I need to change the white sunlight to be yellow/red - can't seem to isolate the colors from the mix of earth colors or black background colors they mix with. Another thing I need is to use a white background instead of the black background of the picture taken from space. Is there a way to convert all the colors that are a mix of the black background and something else to be changed to be as if the background was white?

I am attempting to open the background image in this template with gimp, then paste over top of the Original image with a new image. Every time I paste the new image in it takes the color style of the original.
I.E. The original image is in shades of brown while the new image is in many different colors. Whenever I paste the new image (the image with many colors) it changes to shades of brown like the original image.
The same thing happens if I open the new image as a new layer or just simply copy and paste the new image in.
How do I bring the new image in without it changing colors?

When I right click the mouse with an outline selected the colour appears around the line but there is still a fine black line in the centre of it. I want to change the actual outline into another colour

Shooting with a Nikon D70 in Raw mode - tweak in raw - looks good - open in PS CS2 - still looks good then save for web and the colors wash out dramatically(unacceptable). What gives?

I have a bunch of .bmp files that need to be converted to .png files. Some of the .bmp files cannot be made into .png files without being converted to .jpg files first. The first action does the .bmp --> to .jpg. The second action finishes up the process converting the .jpg to .png. I would make the change over into one long action: Process1. But when I convert one file to another and save to another location, I need to open that same file name with the different extension and then run the second process.So I've got two separate actions now and run one after the other. Being on the lazy side, you know, one less click is a wonderful thing..., can I combine the actions or is there a way to do Process1 all at one time?

We do a lot of stuff using smart objects - replacing logos etc. Load the template image, swap the logo, save a new PSD file with the new logo on it in case we need it again, then save a jpeg for the client.

Oddly (and I think this has only started to happen since I've been working at home and saving onto a local drive on a laptop, rather than onto a server) the new PSD has today's date as its Date Modified, but the jpeg doesn't - it seems to use the original image's created date instead, which might be a few years ago in the case of some of the images. So when I'm attaching files to an email to send to the client, all the jpegs I want are all over the folder, instead of at the top with their associated PS files (sorted by date, newest first).

I have the colour settings from the Edit menu set to "always optimize for printing". The file information shows the camera data as colour space sRGB.

The printer have of course told me that it needs to be on the one plate.
I am creating a book cover in Photoshop and placing it in InDesign.
I am using 3 spot colors and converting the image to a gray scale, then using a tritone.
When I place it in InDesign, the color changes.
I make a selection and choose Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation and it seems the colors are completely off when I have the colorize option selected Should this checkbox not be selected when changing colors this way? I know that this could also be done with an adjustment layer, I am just curious why the colors seem off.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm manipulating the colors on the soles of these shoes and was able to change the colors on the men and baby shoes, now I'm working on the girls and women shoes. When I got through the process, like I did with the mens shoes I'm not able to change the white (on girls shoes) into any other color.
I have a layer mask on the hue/sat filter I have gone between the black and white to reveal and hide. When I start adjusting the colors the whole image starts to change not my selected area. I have also just selected the mask to effect the selected area and no luck.
