Photoshop :: Bright Effect

way to producing this effect.
I mean is the "bright effect".
I am working on a company logo that the owner wants to have a glowing yellow ring on a white background. I have a psd file that someone else created that looks great in color, but when you print it out in black and white, the yellow ring and glow disappear. I have been trying to tell the owner that you can not have bright yellow ring on white and have it come out well when printed in black and white, but he won't let it go.
My question. Can it be done? Is there a way to have some other effect, or gray scale in the background so when printed in black and white it shows well, but when in color it is hidden?
I don't know what version it was created in, but I have the whole CS4 extended creative suite at my disposal.
Not sure if GIMP can actual do this.
I am looking to create text words that have a silver/bright mirror effect. The effect might look like silver liquid (water) effect. Or do you know what software it could be designed on.
I've been trying to figure out for a while now how to get beautiful sparkly bright eyes in photoshop. I've come a little ways with sharpening them and using the dodge & burn tools, but look at the eyes on this photo.
The look almost digital?
but still they're normal enough to be passed off in this photo. I've searched through google and tutorial sites to find this and I can't find anything worth while.
ive tried this one and failed really bad...

I've tried several tricks but I am so unexperienced that every time when i'm trying to adjust it the whole image gets affected and looks screwed up. When the area is selected it becomes too visible that it was edited. how i can make that sun to shine softer and not to distract attention from the faces?
View 4 Replies View Relatedhow there is Proof Setup preview modes under the View menu. Can I create a custom preview mode so that when I choose it and press Ctrl + y it shows the image very bright without changing it.I need this because I want to see and edit more details in the dark areas which I may not be seeing on my monitor or room lighting conditions and thus to create images with more rich and dynamic shading in the darks so when viewed on brighter monitors or when levels are eventually changed the darks reveal nice shading instead of flat black.I'm looking for per image solution that doesn't affect other images or applications like using global gamma.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I start to work on something in Photoshop CS6 and suddenly certain colors don't show up right. Specifically bright bright blues and greens show as black. It seems to work in 32-bit RGB, but these colors have worked fine in standard 8-bit and I've worked with them before. Thumbnails, color picker, and saving for web seem to load the colors just fine. From what I can tell, in this random range it goes to black with saturation hits 100 in the color picker.
Attached is a screenshot. The circle is supposed to be bright blue (00d4f6) and the central rounded square is supposed to be Twitter's blue. both don't show up except for some slight coloring on the edges.
I have limited knowledge of HDR pro, however I have used it without these extra patches of colour appearing and when I tried to recreate an image which had been succesful these patches of colour are appearing.I suspect I have changed something but I can not work out what.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen opening a photo with some bright yellows in the foreground, the yellows all become "hot", and show up like it's some sort of a filter being applied. This is making it impossible to work with the photo & make adjustments in the Camera RAW lab. The same thing does not happen when the photo is opened to "edit" directly (versus working with it in Camera RAW lab).Â
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been using Photoshop for awhile now, but have just recently run into this issue. When I try to use a bright color, it doesn't work - it just automatically adjusts itself to different shade. Now, I figure this is an issue with my color setting, but I can't figure it out.

I attached an image of what I''m talking about below. You can see that although I've chosen to a bright green - it shows up much differently.
I added 3 different Hue Saturation Layer(s), colors Red, Yellow, and Green -Â split in 3, to a concrete image, in Photoshop. I am trying to get a really bright, sunny yellow color, however I can only get light yellow Hue Saturation Layer. How to adjust Hue for bright yellow (sunny) color?

The "best" solution seems to be the Selective Color adj. layer, but still absolutely unacceptable:
I Tried to put several other adj. layers on the top of the Selective. C., but it went even worse.
I have created a path around a bright red ornament and it's white background. How can I clip it out? I just need the ornament. Nothing is working.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn Elements 6, every time we try to change bright white areas to another color, it doesn't work.
Â
No matter what color is picked, the result is always an area of dark, charcoal gray.
Â
Evidently, the program does not recognize Bright White as a color.
Â
Is there a way to make these changes using this program?
I cropped my picture from the white background and added a black Background and now i got a bright border around my watchÂ
Â
I found a guide via google which told me how to do that but this guide is for PS not PSE and in PSE we not have layer matting (or at least i din't found it) so my question is, is there a way to delete this "borders" from my image with PSE easy way? Or i have to delete them manually ?

I am Using PSE9 if that matters...
3ds nitrous (alt x) gives me a very strange, way too bright see-through object result. Retopo is difficult in this mode but views on youtube show that the demonstrator doesnt have the same problem so I think it is a setting I am missing. I have a nvidia GTS 250 card.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to mask out a light source in a complex figure. I have just upgraded from PSE 11 -> 12, but I doubt that is the problem. I thought the clone stamp tool in Editor was simply not working. When I'd drag (after setting a source) over the bright area, it would darken where I dragged.Â
From experience it seemed like it was marking the area it was going to modify - but this turned out to be the extent of the modification. It just stayed dark. Following other discussions, I adjusted my depth of history to ease RAM footprint, restarted Editor, and rebooted my Mac (OSC 10.9). I also twiddled with all the options under Clone Overlay. I could see the effects, but they did not fix the issue. When I try the Clone Stamp tool elsewhere, it does what I expect.Â

I'm suspecting pilot error, but don't know what else to try.
Just bought a new computer with Windows 7 & Movie Maker. Had a difficult time getting the EasyCap to work after a success time using it on my old computer that had Windows XP.
The issue I am having now, after installing the correct drivers, is the image is very bright when using the EasyCap s-video connection. VideoStudio does not allow me to change any of the video settings, other than NTSC or S-video/composite. I also was able to use the EasyCap with Movie Maker, but the same bright image came up in that program.
Now, if I do use the composite connections, the image looks as it should with normal brightness and color. Of course, the loss of quality if visable between s-video and composite.
how to correct the brightness when using the s-video connection. It is possible the EasyCap s-video connection is corrupt, as the image and cords are working fine from the various setups I've tried.
i just upgraded to max 2012 and the default setup on mine is showing up very bright for some reason. like the ambient setting is at 50 but its set to solid black in both the material and the environment panel. i went through my normal routine of checking the exposure control and nothing.
View 2 Replies View Related how to migrate my Aperture Library into Lightroom 5.3. Therefore I use a trial version of Lightroom and Aperture 3.5.1 on OS X 10.9.1.
To keep my edits on the raw files, I exported them into tiff files and then imported them into Lightroom.
Unfortunately all the tiffs appear to bright in Lightroom. In the screenshot you can see preview showing the tiff as it would appear in Aperture and the much brighter representation in Lightroom.
Whenever I Render out a clip, the resultant file, when played back in quicktime is extremely bright.

I pretty much work in a standard comp for all my projects:

16bpc
HDTV (Rec.709) 16-235
Linearize working space

I have some projects that i previously rendered, and what you see in the after effects project window, is basically what you get on render - untill now that is. When I render the project, i usually use:
Render settings - Best settings
Output module Quicktime with H264 codec

I now want to render out the best possible lossless versions for more work - I am doing this so I can interpret interlaced footage into progressinve footage for my workflow. This is something found, to import the footage at 50FPS into a double frame rate comp. I then get discreet individual frames from the camera I am using. - But I say this just to explain why I want the best output for this part of the project. ( I have reset the preferences via CMD+Option+Shift on startup of AE) -
