May 1, 2006Anyway, I have this photoshop file, and when I turn it into a jpeg, it comes out lighter than it looks inside photoshop. Any idea why?

Is there a way to preserve the layer data when comng over to PS? I am going to start doing all work in PS and would like to convert my PNGs on FW to PSDs as needed. When I open PNGs in PS it seems to flatten the images.
I have a pdf that opens up in Acrobat with the viewable image but when I place it in PS it comes up blank.

Of course it doesn't have to be perfect, I just have a picture and I would like a face to come out from its center.
It doesn't have to be really 3D, just "visible".
I'm trying to take images that are about 300x300px and convert to 100x100px. When I change image size in PS and constrain proportions, the result is a jagged-looking image.
The resolution is set to 72 px/inch and the Resample Image box is set to Bicubic.
Am I always gonna have jaggies in this scenario and what can I do to make it look smoother? Also, does it make a difference if it's gif vs. jpg?
it was made by combining some cool cloud picture with a starship ( that's the thing on the left ) and applying some contrast, brightness, color balance and overlaying to make this kind of color.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI typically have multiple Photoshop documents open at once along with other programs. Let's say that I want to make a client's revisions. With CS5, I could have my email open and the Photoshop window I'm editing side-by-side. With CS6 and CC, when I click on the window I want to edit, ALL the photoshop windows come to the front, obscuring the email message.
Is there a way to prevent this from happening and only bring the one window I clicked on to the front? There is still an option under Window > Arrange > Bring All to Front, which wouldn't be necessary if the windows are always in front.
I am using Photoshop CS3, and all the sudden now, when I create a shape or Type/text, It is automatically rastered, as it should be vector, and has been until yesterday. I haven't made any changes, etc., etc., I just know that before when I would type some text and/or make a shape, it would be vector until I chose to rastor it or flatten the image. Now when I click on the "T" tool and choose my font and size, etc., I start typing and the text is very pixelated as would a rastor image.
Is there a setting I might have unknowingly changed, or something else I am all the sudden missing?
I'm underling some words. Everything is set to black. the underline is coming out grey. It's looks good, but I really wanted black.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI saw in my mind the image of a soccer ball bursting through the paper on the yearbook page. Looking on the Internet, it was looking more like a challenge than a "How'd They Do That?"
So, finally, I found something.
But, it is not quite what I want.....as you can see....
I need help getting a look of a real soccer ball protruding from the page.
Then, if everything holds up...I need this technique to be altered a little so that the torn flaps are a little more realistic.
I have just installed CS2 on a new computer with Vista home premium and the registration screen comes up ever time I open the program. I have had CS2 on my old desktop computer and laptop using XP with no problems. The program works fine after I get the registration screen out of the way, but it is a nuisance.

But, the next time I start up VS Pro X4, I find it has reset itself to wide-screen. Must I undo this each time I start up. I can't find anything in preferences that will keep it at my project setting.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have AutoCAD 2013 (Full) and Adobe Acrobat X Pro v10.1.4 installed. I usually select ‘Adobe PDF’ as my printer instead of the standard ‘DWG To PDF.pc3’ which comes with AutoCAD and everything works fine. However on some particular drawings I have, when I print using the ‘Adobe PDF’ nothing comes out, it’s just a blank PDF. If I select the standard ‘DWG To PDF.pc3’ printer, it prints fine.
These particular drawings do have one missing Plot Style so maybe that has something to do with it? If so how do I remove that Plot Style completely so it’s not required anymore?
I am cleaning up a drawing from another company, (changing linetypes, text, layers, blocks). When i change blocks, opening the block that I want and saving it as the one that is there, the block comes in at a scale that is a lot larger then what i would like. After saving the new block, if i insert it in, it comes in at the proper scale.
Both the drawing and the blocks are at unitless.
I put image file(GIF) on my work.
It looks fine in screen.
But when i print it.
like this...
Box coming out..
How can I remove that box?
Ok so I am fairly new to illustrators but I have trained and used Photoshop for years and I have never had this problem. I am creating a logo in Illustrator and when I save it for web and upload it into facebook the image is completely pixelate. I have the document set for RGB at 72 PPI. I am using a web safe color and on screen in illustrator my image loogs perfectly clear. I have tried to save the document is several different file formats and nothing seems to work. I have watched several tutorials and read many documents and set up my document formats to match and it has not fixed the issue.

We use a table with an inserted jpeg image (company logo) as our title block. Everything works fine when you start a new drawing, however, when one tries to insert the template into an existing drawing or thru a new layout, the table that is our title block comes in mirrored with the rows and columns all out of whack.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to set up a dynamic block library for my company. For some reason, whenever I bring in certain blocks, they come out way smaller than when I put them in.
insunits is set to 2 (feet)
Here's the weird thing. I created (for simplicity) Block A and Block B. I created them both in the same drawing, put them both into the toolpallette from the same drawing and then pulled them right back into the same drawing. Block A comes in fine... same size. Block B, even with the block already in the drawing, comes in tiny. What was 2.5' when it went into the toolpallette comes out at .21'. A picture is attached... the top row are the blocks created in the drawing, the bottom are what happens when I bring them back in from the toolpallatte.
I have tried created seperate drawings... tried different scales, deleted and recreated the toolpallette, etc.
