We cannot enter a caption on photos. This worked for us for thousands of photos in the past but now it ignores the text once we've entered the caption. It allows us to enter an appropriate caption but when we click outside the "caption" box it returns to "Click here to add caption."
We're currently using CS5 and have InDesign CS2 + Adobe Bridge CS2 loaded on one computer. We use this instance for it's contact sheet feature. It appears that something similar to this is in Adobe CS6 via Photoshop, but when I create a contact sheet, it doesn't appear to auto fit the caption on the page as it did in CS2. This results in ellipsis's at the end of all our captions. Â Is there a way to fix this? If not, we can't upgrade this instance.
I added one caption manually and set the timing. I can see it in my video but I can't see any other caption that I try to add. New captions will show up in the captions panel but not on the actual film.
how do I put a caption on just ONE photo in a slide show? Have tried and tried. (following instructons step by step) and the caption always appears on EVERY slide! I must be missing something.
Is it possible to add different captions underneath images in the html web galleries in LR 3.6? I want to name individual bird species in same gallery, but seem only to be able to add the same caption text to every image.
I have a caption strap as a matte and a fill. Then a matte to wipe the caption on to it.
Now say if I need three of these on the screen at one time and to be able to reposition them individually.
In batch/action I was trying to combine the alpha of the caption and the caption matte, using a matte source node and a blending mode on the top image, but it didn't seem to work. I thought multiply should have done the trick...
I think the thing I'm stuck on is getting the intersection of 2 mattes. So you only see where they are both white.
I did do it with 2 source mattes, kind of in a cascade... but it's a messy solution for such a simple thing.
I ended up combining them out of action using blend and comp node. But then if I needed to resize the strap and 2 mattes independently of the caption itself I ran into problems.
How can I set the Title and Caption for multiple pictures at once? If I select a range of say 8 picture that I want to have the same title and caption in the metadata, only one of them getst the title and caption set. The title and caption remain blank for the rest.
I would like to change caption during export with a plugin.
I've got a website with a galery made with piwigo and I use the piwigo's plugin to publish / export my photos to the website.
I'd like to complete my caption with something like that for example:
New Caption => {city} - {country} - {dateTime[%B %Y]} {copyright} {caption} Â I've tried different solution without success:
1 - Using LR Transporter plugin It's not the solution because this plugin change caption in LR. I want to change only during export. 2 - Using rc Exportant pluginI don't manage to change something in the preset. I've got a bad level in english and I don't really understand what to do to make what I want 3 - Doing my own plugin I've tried with lightroom SDK. I manage to do a box in export box to complete some metadata. But I'm not a programmer, only a photographer, and I don't know how to do after. Â I know that it's possible to do something like that. I use jf Flickr plugin and ther is a place to do that in this plugin (Metadata Management / Image Title - Description).
I'd like to do exactly the same with piwigo's publish.
I want to print a picture and use the caption from the meta data and the information about shutter speed, focal length and so on. I figured out that there is a way to print this information in the print module, but it is attached directly to the image, which does not look good. Question is there another way? Maybe involving Photoshop? I would like to have the flexibility I have with the slide show designer, where I can put caption to the left side of the image and ISO, shutter speed and so on to the right. Is this possible somehow? Â I am looking for an easy preset that I could apply to a lot of pictures.
I would like the caption or title to show as an overlay on exported jpeg files. How do I do it? Do I need to do it in Photoshop or can I directly do it in Lightroom 5 CC.
I want to show text on selected individual slides in a slideshow . I know that I can use caption or title for this ( can I use either one or is there a preferred one ? ) .
However , not all the photos in the slideshow have captions, so for those without, it shows " < empty >" respectively 2 " ". I want that there is nothing on the slide if there is no caption. How can I do this
The caption field of Metadata automatically fills with OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA. How can I prevent this? How can I get rid of this on my 3000 pictures of Turkey without manually deleting each caption? I am new to Lightroom, and have version 4.1. I use an iMAC, OSX10.6.8.
What's the difference and purpose of Keywording and metadata such as title and caption, crator, sublocation , label etc? Where & how is the information used? Where does it appear?
Is there a way to export images with borders (like the slideshow layout) and metadata caption (iptc/exif). I'm using a plug-in Mogrify now, but this way I have to export every photo twice (first to create borders, then to add the metadata). photo below is exported with the Mogrify plug-in. Â It would be awsome to export photos like the gallery layout since most lightboxes have only 1 line of caption and no design/edit options. This would save heaps of time.
I'm in process of creating a photobook using LR4's Book Module. Whenever I create a multiple columns page or photo caption, the text won't flow from the 1st column into the succeeding column.... The multiple columns feature however does work for normal text placeholders.
I seem to recall reading something that indicated you could get back to ACR after you have made some changes in Photoshop? Â If so, under what circumstances does it work, and which menu items get you there? Can you bring files into a plugin, and then get back to ACR after returning to PS? Â I have CS5.1 (with the last patches to CS5.1).
I have included both a text and a date as part of the photo caption on each of my photos.  When I have attempted to search for a specific date or year, however, nothing comes up.  For example, if I search for my photo on "Fido 1985", I can find Fido, but if I simply enter "1985", I get nothing.
From within, is it possible to enter ACR with the image in PS CS6? I need to bypass most of ACRs options when I input a Raw image and would like to go back to ACR after limited processing. I know that I can output the file and re-load it but that is not efficient. I'd like to include the second ACR pass in an action if possible.
