I bought a Wacom cintiq 22hd online and before it arrived I imagined before it came that all I would have to do is plug it in and install the software and that would be it but no....Â
This turned out to be a real nightmare to use, first after I finished calibrating the tablet this annoying loading circle kept appearing around the point every time I tried to draw something, Then after I had been able to fix it from running around the internet looking for solutions the pressure sensitive feature stopped working I looked around again to find a solution and people were saying update the driver software and I did then after rebooting my machine it no longer works and every time i tried to view the tablet settings it kept saying "THE TABLET DRIVER WAS NOT FOUND"
I had to uninstall the driver and recalibrate it and the pressure sensitive feature still isn't working. Personally I think this is complete BS I can't understand why Wacom a highly regarded company would delibratelly make their tablets more complicated to use than they need to be, I really am clueless as to what I can do to fix this I don't think reinstalling the "WacomTablet_635-3" driver software. What I can do I am using Windows 7 64 bit
Well because i went to the wacom forum site to try and get some answers but when I went to go sign up for an account it kept saying that my criteria was invalid even though it wasn't another reason to loose faith in Wacom and their useless business structure and unuseful customer support.
In Photoshop CS6 (64bit), when using the brush tool (with a brush with pressure sensitivity activated), I quite often get a line drawn at the max width selected, as if there was no pressure sensitivity. Everything goes back to normal after I start drawing another line, and happens again after a few lines. It's quite random. Â Â I don't have this problem in any other software (Illustrator CS6 64bit, Painter XII, Sketchbook Pro, Zbrush, ...). I have already checked and I've found some other users on other forums with the same problem.
One example, with a picture of the problem: [URL] Another one, exact same problem: [URL] Some of those users seem to have solved their problem by installing an old driver (6.1.5r3), but they had that problem with Intuos TABLETS in the first place, not a Cintiq 24HD... I have tried that, but unfortunately the driver is not compatible with the Cintiq 24HD. Â Â To test this out: I've been able to reproduce the problem 90% of the times I've tried. if I keep the pen at 1 inch from the display so that it's still recognized by the screen but it's not drawing, then wiggle it a bit, and then I slowly move to the screen and tap it (as if I was starting a line with very low pressure), the problem appears and it makes a large dot, as if there was no pressure sensitivity. As I said the test doesn't work every time, but almost. Â Â This is an image of what happens when I try and make dots in Photoshop. These are done trying to push the pen with the same (low) pressure. The big ones are from when the issue appears: [URL]Â Â I have tried the pressure test in the Wacom utility software and it seems to work fine, it never jump to full even when I try the method I've just described. In the diagnostic page of the Wacom utility software the pressure is always correct, even when in Photoshop there's the brush sensitivity issue. Â note: I've already tried to completely re-install my computer + the Adobe software + the lastest wacom driver for my Cintiq 24HD, and the problem is still the same.
I got this issue since I got my new windows system.  I do my daily Photoshop session with my Wacom Intuos 4, then randomly later, sensitivity of the pen turns off. The only way to recover the problem is to reboot Photoshop and sometime the whole system.  why it doing that?  I downloaded the latest Wacom drivers and Photoshop CS4 is up to date and the problem still persist.
I have a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet, photoshop CS6 and Windows 7. The pressure sensitivity of my tablet won't work anymore. Roughly, it said to uninstall my wacom driver, unplug the tablet, reboot, install driver, plug in the tablet and reset my preferences in photoshop. I've done this last night and it worked, I was thrilled but it was late, was exhausted,When I turned it back on and went in photoshop this morning it didn't work anymore, pressure sensitivity was gone again. I get this little warning in my brush settings when I try to put it on Pen Pressure or tilt or other setting that requires pressure sensitivity, The only way I can get it to work is with the process I mentioned (uninstalling driver, unplugging tablet, rebooting etc...) but I'd need to do this every time I shut down my computer and that's a bit of a pain..I've also tried installing different drivers, the latest one first, when that didn't work I tried older ones to see if it would make a difference to no avail.
Is their a way to get the pressure sensitivity of my Wacom Bamboo Capture tablet working with GIMP. Is tablets pressure sensitivity still unavailable to GIMP 2.8.2 Mac OS X?
I Bought a Wacom Bamboo Tablet when I first discovered Paint.net and then soon after they removed pressure sensitivity from the software. So now any plugin created for it so I can use my Tablet again.
I consider myself to be an advanced Photoshop and computer user. I have worked with Photoshop for several years on a daily basis as a concept and texture artist.
Whenever I draw in Photoshop on either my Cintiq or Intuos4 I experience some rendering lag of my brush strokes. I can draw a line and it takes sometimes about 1 second for it to appear on the screen. The problem is quite frequent and appears on a regular basis. It is quite an annoyance since it kills the illusion of drawing on "paper" and hinders me somewhat from being creative since I have to think of how I draw rather than having my pen being an extension of myself. I have tried everything from resetting Photoshop back to default by holding down CTRL+ALT+SHIFT before startup, but the problem did not disappear. I have also tried to increase and decrease the performance settings under preferences, but it had no positive effect. All my software's and drivers are uptodate and I have consulted Wacom about this issue as well and they say it cannot have anything to do with the drivers since they haven't heard of this issue before. It cannot have anything to do with that the brush I am using is too heavy and is therefore slow to render because even the most basic brushes are slow at times.  I usually work on bigger files with a pixel dimension of 3840x2160@300dpi to 5760x3240@300dpi. I have used the same dimensions for years but never had a problem on for example my laptop, which has only a Dual Core Processor with 4 GB Ram, the only thing the laptop has going for it is the graphics card which is a Nvidia Quadro card. But since it is about 4½ years old, I do not think it is any better than my current graphics card which I have in my stationary PC.  Software Specs:  Operating System: Windows 7 Photoshop CS6 DirectX runtime version: 11 Graphics Card Drivers Wacom Drivers  Everything listed above is up-to-date!  Hardware Specs:  Processor: Intel Core i7-2600k @ 3.40GHz Ram: 12 GB Main Local Harddrive (C: ) (Photoshop installation): Corsair Force GT 240 GB (Read: 555MB/s, Write: 525MB/s) Photoshop Scratchdisk Harddrive (E: ) : Corsair Performance3 SSD 128 GB (Read: 480 MB/s, Write: 320 MB/s) Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 460  Photoshop Settings Performance:  Memory Usage: 90% - (Had on lower but increased to see if it would have any positive effect, but alas, the problem still remains) History & Cache: History States: 99, Cache Levels: 4, Chache Tile Seize: 1024k - (I tested resetting History States to 25 (Default) but it did not solve the problem)

I have upgraded to Windows 8 using Adobe Photoshop CS6 (latest Dec update). I have the latest Wacom drivers installed (Nov1) and Photoshop does not respond to pinch to zoom and rotate and it recognizes my hand touching the screen as pen input when using the pen at the same time. Even without the pen I can draw with my finger. Others have reported this under Windows 7 as well. I have an iPad, I don't need this 4K screen to work like an iPad!  This did not happen with older wacom drivers and Windows 7. I need to know how long I am going to have to wait before Adobe acknowledges the problem and when to expect a fix for this. All of us with Photoshop and Wacom Cintiq 24 HD Touch are screwed at the moment. Most other programs are working correctly with both touch and pen (i.e. Painter 12.2, Sketchbook Pro, etc). Most users are resorting all the way back to CS3 with older drivers or turning off Touch input all together to get the pen to work.Â
- Windows 7 Premium 64-bit with Service Pack 1 - Intel i7-267OQM 2,2 Ghz CPU - Nvidia GeForce GT 635M 2GB - 8GB RAM - Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 64-bit - on an ASUS N55S Laptop  My new Wacom Cintiq 13HD runs just fine while just browsing on the internet, with Adobe Illustrator (so far...) and Easy Paint Tool SAI.But everytime I open my Photoshop it's just some minutes before my system freezes for a second, than blue screen appears.  I tried all drivers Wacom has available but it still happens. I updated my Adobe Softwares, my BIOS, my graphic card, I restarted countless times, but nothing seems to work.
I'm using Photoshop CS5 Extended 64bit (12.0.4) on Win7 Professional (64 bit) and recently have had an issue using my Cintiq 12WX tablet in that using the brush with the tablet (whether I'm using the tablet as the monitor, or my laptop as the monitor) causes Photoshop to crash, usually within the first 30 seconds of usage. This has become so regular that I expect it to crash and no longer can trust it to use, but at the same time I depend on its use to get work done, so an expedient solution is absolutely necessary.Â
Does not crash if I use brush with a mouse, but that's not exactly a solution either, as you can imagine. I have been using this tablet with this Photoshop for a long time without incident, and I can think of no changes to the system I've made in the period when this began happening.  All drivers for the Cintiq are current. The entirety of the crash report reads as follows:  Problem Event Name:   APPCRASH  Application Name:   Photoshop.exe  Application Version:   12.0.4.0  Application Timestamp:   4d9d8f8e  [code]...
I have just bought a Wacom Cintiq 12 XW. Photoshop works fine while I am using it, but when I switch it off and go back to working on my iMac in normal mode it doesn't work correctly. Photoshop opens ok but if i open a file the file does not show on the screen.
I just bought PS CS6 and I am experiencing a problem where I get random full-pressure strokes while using the brush tool. I have been doing a lot of research into this but have not found a solution yet.  I am using a Cintiq 21UX on a Windows 7 machine. While I am drawing with the brush tool, I will get a random stroke that is at full pressure, as if I was using the mouse. It doesn't seem to be related to how fast I am sketching, or what kind of brush, eraser, tool etc I am using.  Photoshop CS6 is the only program on my computer that has this issue.I have tried every single driver available on the wacom site.My GPU is compatible with CS6 (GeForce 200 series) and I have the most recent drivers.I have tried resetting the brush tool.I have 'shape dynamics' turned on.Â
Using a wacom cintiq for drawing your vectors in Coreldraw x5? Also I'm looking for alternative to Photoshop, can paint shop pro handle the task of adding graphics and colors to bitmaps?
I am having problems with my brushes in Photoshop CS4. Everything was fine till recently. I use XP on a PC. I am using a wacom tablet and the brush sensitivity is not working in Photoshop CS4. When I go to the brush drop down or the brush palatte, the brushes are not pressure sensitive for opacity or size as they should be. Yet I have pen pressure selected in shape dynamics & other dynamics. I tried in CS3 which I also have installed and it works fine there and I can use the pen pressure. I spoke with wacom and we updated the driver. Adobe said to reinstall CS 4 which I did…and I still have the problem. BTW, there is a gray exclamation mark next to the shape and other dynamics control drop down window. No one seems to know exactly what this means.I assume it isn't the wacom driver or hardware, as it works fine in CS3. It makes sense to me that the problem is with CS4, but I still have it after reinstalling. Any ideas. I have talked to wacom and adobe multiple times and can't get this resolved.
I have a Calcomp DrawingBoard lll with pressure sensitive stylus which works fine in other applications like Painter 11 but loses its pressure capabilities in CS4 (both AI and PS). The stylus behaves like a mouse but in shape dynamics the pen pressure settings show a warning sign and in AI they are grayed out. It performed correctly in CS3.
I am using PSCS 3 and I have a wacom Intuos 2 tablet I used to use. Recently I hooked it back up as I am going to start doing more illustration (just been doing photography and using lightroom). Â PS is not reacting to the sensitivity settings. I downloaded the latest Wacom drivers today and when I open the wacom control panel the setting show the pen sensitivity is working. In the PS brushes panel I have tried "shape" dynamics and "other" dynamics both set to "pen presure" and still no effect. I've tried adjusting the sliders from 0%, to 50% and 100% all with no effect. Also for some reason PS does not recognize the eraser. It just acts like the pen. Again, in the wacom control panel when I look at the eraser it recognizes it (doesn't resond if I use the pen side).
I just got my first ever drawing tablet and so I'm having a lot of problems setting up the pressure sensitivity. I have a DigiPro WP5540 and I've installed the driver and the software and everything. In CS6 I go to shape dynamics and it doesn't allow me to do anything. It just has a warning icon next to it:
I'm using a Cintiq 18sx, and its pressure sensitivity is working great in programs such as Flash, but when it comes to photoshop, there is absolutely no brush sensitivity.
I have gone into the brush shape dynamics settings and set it to pen pressure, but finds nothing. I'm not exactly sure what to do now.
I followed the instruction in the Mudbox help > Appendices > Tablet Setup including installing the latest drivers. Everything seems to work fine except pen pressure has no influence on brush size or sensitivity. One other post mentioned he had to roll back to a previous driver version.
I prerfer to use my Wacom pen/tablet (wide A5 size; almost A4 in landscape mode) when working in LR4 but I find it far too sensitive when working in the Develop module. For example the smallest movement I am able to make with the pen can change exposure by 0.2 (EV, I assume). which can make a very big difference to the image. Even the action of lifting the pen off the tablet, having 'set' a value, causes the value to change by an unacceptable amount. Â Surely this is not how it should work, is it? I am having to use keyboard input to enter values to get what I want.
I'm using Photoshop CS6 64-bit with a Wacom Bamboo Pen tablet. I've already tried fixing/resetting the tablet numerous times, and I've come to the conclusion that the problem is with Photoshop, not the tablet. Important points of my problem  1. Whenever I completely reset my computer, photoshop recognizes the tablet and uses it correctly. The problem arises after I close my laptop or unplug the tablet. When I try to use it again, it gives the triangle warning box that says pen sensitivity is not available without a pressure-sensitive tablet. 2. The tablet with Pen Pressure works in Manga Studio 100% of the time. This is why I'm posting this in the Adobe Forums, not Wacom.  I've tried several fixes, I must have reinstalled different versions of my Tablet Driver 10 times at least, it always comes back to this same problem. No matter what I do, it works for awhile, but when I put my laptop to sleep or unplug the tablet, photoshop no longer recognizes it.
My university (ITESM) is using the Citrix plataform to stream to all of us students adobe's photoshop cs6 suite. However I am having issues with it becuase:  1.-it isn't allowing me to upload new brushes (.abr) 2.-nor it detects pressure sensitivity from my tablet.  My other native mac programs like Gimp can detect the pressure sensitivity so it isn't an issue of my MAC.
I dont have a tablet, so is there any way I can make strokes with my mouse that look like they were made with a pressure sensitive pen? (thinner edges, thicker middle)
Recently installed Photoshop in the office, but the pressure sensitivity is not working on my profile. If I switch to my partner's, it works fine though. All the presets and tablet settings are set the same. I'm really the only one who needs pressure sensitivity and I'm the only one who can't use it on their profile.
I am running Photoshop CS5 Extended on my Windows 7 64bit. I recently decided to try a new drawing tablet i got, a rather "offbrand" one. It is the Auro II, made by a company called braVod. While the tablet works great, in Photoshop i cannot get the pressure sensitivity to work. Photoshop is up to date, and I have the latest driver for the graphics tablet (that being said, it was rather difficult to find any driver for the tablet online...).
I have just purchased a Microsoft Surface Pro in anticipation of running Photoshop on it. I installed Photoshop and tried to do some sketches. I created a new file and started sketching. I Immediately felt like something was wrong. I checked my brush settings and saw the pressure sensitivity was not available. Everytine I tried to turn it on it was marked with an exclamation point.  Does Adobe is supporting the new pressure sensitive pen from microsoft, or if there is some sort of setting that I am missing? I have tried sketchbook pro 2011, and that works amazingly well with the pen.Â
After installing photoshop cc on my dell venue 8 pro, the program refuses to register the pressure sensitivity of the active pen display. The device is running windows 8.1 and uses the synaptic pen technology as opposed to wacom. Is there any way for me to force photoshop to either look for the default windows drivers or better yet get proper support for synaptic?
My tablet is a new Wacom Cintiq Companion with a Windows 8 platform, which I recently got Photoshop Elements 12 for. I use this software mainly for drawing. When I first started using the software everything was fine, but somewhere along the line I noticed that it would randomly loose pressure sensitivity. This occurs more often when I am making short strokes or sketching. I have experimented with other software that I have on my tablet, and am fairly certain that it is a Photoshop Elements problem. It impairs not only drawing but also writing notes.
I tested it out by making a bunch of short lines in a row, and found that it will also sometimes connect two strokes with a straight line (while loosing pressure sensitivity) for no apparent reason. This happens especially while I am writing notes. I also discovered that if I make enough small strokes it will sometimes loose pressure sensitivity entirely. However if I leave the program alone for a couple of minutes and then come back, everything is back to normal.
My tablet is a fairly new model, so I wonder if it is a compatibility issue of some sort (I am only guessing and have no knowledge of problems like this).
