I'm running Photoshop CS3. I recently got a Wacom Cintiq 22HD Touch with an Art Pen. The Art Pen supposed to give me that 6th rotation(barrel rotation). But when I tried it, it doesn't rotate any of my custom brushes.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got the Intuos5 and it works well except for the pen pressure feature for varying brush size or opacity. I can't get either to work. I have the latest driver, I think (where is the driver located on the Mac in OSX 10.6.8?). The tablet is attached directly to my iMac. I've sent two message to Wacom tech support and they don't respond. how I can get this working?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just tried to rotate an image, pressing "R" for the rotate tool, getting the compass rose over the image, and then rotated the image by dragging 90 degrees. So far so good. Then, I wanted to crop the image into a panorama proportion, by pressing "C" for crop tool - and voilá, the image jumps back into the original rotation, just like that. I have tried to press the Enter key after rotating, I have tried to save, I have tried to change to other tools in between, I have looked into the toolbar for clues but found none - I just can't understand what it is that I'm supposed to do to make the rotation stick.
I'll just add that I managed to solve this temporarily by selecting rotate 90 degrees from the menu and then cropping - why I can't do this visually by using the "R" command and dragging visually, then changing to the crop tool. It's just fortunate that there's often several ways to accomplish the same things in PS. So, I managed to work around it - but I'm still wondering why I couldn't make the rotation stick by using the method above. If I'd like to make a more arbitrary rotation then that seems like the way to do it - if it would stick.
I am a long time gimp user and also a long time intuos user and I just recently got the airbrush pen for my intuos. I am running windows 7 and gimp 2.8. I am trying to figure out how to get the wheel on the airbrush pen to do something like adjust occupancy for example but I cant get any wheel settings to work. I am not sure if gimp recognizes that its a different pen. Any airbrush pen or a pen with a wheel in gimp

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I set up the Image based lighting in Mental Ray, and key the dome that is created to rotate in a animation, it is clearly rotating in the viewport, and when I render individual frames, it works, but when I batch render (confirming that the render range is set correctly) it renders each frame with the dome in the same position.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use a copystand regularly, due to the design of the stand, the camera ends up taking photos of the scene upside down. In lighroom the only way I can find to rotate images is in the library module using Ctrl-] (twice as I need to rotate 180) or using the little arrows under the image. When doing copystand work, requiring instant review, and taking many hundred photos in a day, this isn't really workable.
I tether my camera for this work, and due to using an unsupported camera (sony a850) I use the hotfolder import method. This gives me the option to apply a "develope setting" profile and a "metadata" profile, but the single thing I can't work out how to change automatically on an image is the one that I really need to change: the rotation option.
I have also found inconvenience in the past of having to switch back from the develop module to the library module to find that one misplaced editing option. I like that this setting is accessible from the library module, but I'd like to see it also being accessible as part of the develop module's crop functionality, both from the UI, and from the metadata sync/save systems.
Would this make a reasonable feature request?
I currently use Lightroom 4.4, but will be upgrading to Lightroom 5 shortly, It doesn't look like it's been sorted out there either. I'm also on windows 7, but i'd be surprised if this was different on mac.
I need to do a small bit of horizon straightening on an image which I have.
Using the rotation tool is fair enough.
Under clipping I select crop to result.
In the rotation dialog i enter the angle ( -.7 )
When I click rotate, it goes through the motions of a status bar advancing (green bar), but when it is finished doing its thing the image vanishes entirely, and i'm left with what looks like a transparent background.
If in clipping, I select 'Adjust', it rotates fine but I have to crop the result manually to have the image 'square' with no transparent angled edges.
How the rotation tool works? I'm using Gimp 2.6.4 on Windows Vista.
i just bought a new wide-angle camera, and there's this common issue that occurs in all wide-angle lens - whenever i take portrait/group shots, people who stand at the edges always have VERY "flat" faces.

On most photos its the horizon that's disorted.

if PS itself has functions for correcting the distortion.
The PS I downloaded from CC doesn't work -- no illumination and some other functions -- I deactivated and re-uploaded -functions and then crashed agian -- computer is new and shouldn't be the problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedFirstly - when I create a document at 48x48 at 72ppi, it comes out as you would expect, 48x48 on a screen. However if I enter 48x48 and try to enter 326ppi, it doesn't adjust the canvas size at all.
Also when I have my 48x48 72ppi document open and go to image > image size, and adjust only the ppi to 326...it does nothing! What should be happening is the canvas become 72:326 ratio larger to reflect the new ppi, or in other words, make the canvas size larger in proportion to this so when you take your new 326ppi image to the iphone it is retina at 48x48...however this is clearly not happening.
In Photoshop CS2, I select Help > How to fix and enhance photos > to touch up spots, scratches, and wrinkles. Instead of help on that, Adobe Help Center 2.1 shows up with nothing in it.

For quite a while now every once in a while when I start up I get a screen asking me to register. But since I already am registered Adobe just said to click on later and go on working. But this morning the screen is empty so I can't click anywhere. I've tried restarting and even turning off the computer and trying to restart my day.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOpenCL doesn't seem to work for me. I have it checked in prefs, have the latest drivers, and a GeForce GTX 660M. Yet when I run an iris blur filter, it's extremely slow, and only uses 1 CPU. Under System Info, it lists the video card and OpenCL 1.1.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI've just upgraded to Photoshop CS6, and did the update to v13.04. Get a message with Save for Web: "The operation could not be completed. A write permissions error has occurred." There is a bug fix for v12 for exactly this, but CS5.5 (not sure which version of 12 it was) worked fine on this machine. On a Macbook 17 inch running OSX 10.7.5 with 8gig Ram and 2.5 Ghz I7.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Geforce 8600M GT in my Macbookpro 10.6.8 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Core with 4GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM. I tried using it for 3D in PS6 but it doesn't seem to be 'enabled' and OpenGl unavailable. In the preferences in PS it states that graphics hardware unavailable and that I should upgrade my driver or card but on the adobe specifications for PS6 my card seems to comply and I can't find anything to update.

It seems like all your content works similarly too. the "Creative Cloud" app is something of a joke. Takes 2 minutes to load, andother minute or 3 to show info, and when an app needs an update, well, jsut look out. You're in for a long wait while adobe chugs along at 1980s connection speeds. (I am on a 24 down 7 up connection, there's no excuse)

View 10 Replies View RelatedI was working on a new file yesterday , and when I tried to switch to imageready it took too much time to do , but couldn't do So I saved the .psd file and then tried to directly open it in imageready cs2 then it said :
This file can't be directly edited in image ready ,switch to photoshop ?" and there was a button of switch !
So I thought maybe it's the file problem , So I opened a new document and tried to switch to imageready but the same problem ?
II am not able to start trial period of PS CS3, freshly downloaded and installed on clean Vista x64. It used to work but I reinstalled OS after SP1 and no success since. After clicking on 'I want to try for 30 days' I'm getting 'A problem was encountered while trying to load the trial period for Adobe Photoshop CS3'.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI am trying to run it from Bridge or from Photoshop. Photoshop stitches the images but when the process is done the document closes, resulting in no image.
Purging the selection / folder cache in Bridge prior to merging doesn't help.
Resetting the PS preferences solves the problem but only temporarily. The issue appears again when you try to make up another panorama.
I tried it on 4 RAW shots. Then on another set of 6 RAW shots.

I just upgraded to a new computer setup and installed Photoshop CC and well..... I can't figure out how to manipulate paths like in CS6.
On the left is a what path manipulation with anchor points looks like in CS6 on my old slow iMac, and on the right is the new CC with direction selection on, but instead I can't manipulate paths. How can I get it to work like CS6? Also, I know about the isolating layers thing, but that still doesn't let me manipulate certain anchor points.
why Command + . isn't allowed in CC as a hotkey?
the last few days the gaussian blur plugin does not work in Adobe Photoshop CS3.
