Lightroom :: Possible To Do Identical Photoshop Brush-type Edit On Two Virtual Copies?
Feb 8, 2013I took a promo portrait of a book author that needs to be in color and b&w depending on where it will be used (b&w on the book sleave, color on a flyer, etc). I have a vitual copy for the b&w image which has different contrast settings, otherwise they are identical. Normally I only have one photo to deal with if I need to use Photoshop, and it's aways my last step. This is a little different in that if I don't want to adjust the contrast on the edit, I will have to eyeball the same brush strokes both copies, which will never exactly match. Is there any way to do an identical Photoshop "Liquify" edit on both?

I was trying to get a collection to appear at the top of the list of items in a collection set, but it seems to get stuffed below all the other collection sets regardless of the name given to the collection.

Sep 3, 2013I am trying to access the edit original (edit with) option to edit a photo that has not been edited yet. I right click and go through the edit menu and does not appear or is not available? Would I have to reopen it manual in photoshop or is there a way around this to access that setting? it sometimes does not appear on my already edited photos.
I would prefer not to open each photo again, as some files i do not have and were imported into the document with another computer.

Photoshop :: CS 2 Eating Up All Of Virtual Memory
Oct 17, 2005I just updated to CS 2 from PS7. I am running a 2 Ghz Pentium 4 with 512 MB of Ram. Windows XP.
My problem is that when you start CS 2 it starts to eat away the virtual memory like crazy, eventually causing the system to hang.
My scratch disk is on a separate physical drive from the OS. I also reset the pref file to no avail. Does any one have any suggestions or seen this type of behavior?

I will capture a scene using a QVTR tripod head and use exposure bracketing to make sure the scene is captured in HDR quality.
I want to end up with an interactive product that is ready to be inserted into a web-page.
(I have CS2 and would upgrade for that capability.)
If CS4 can't do this, please suggest software that can.
I think my current version (CS2) can do the assembling. But, I'm not sure about the seamless edge. I know that CS2 cannot create the output that I want.

Sep 26, 2012I've got an older version of Photoshop CS that I am attempting to thinapp and assign to my virtual desktop. I get the same virtual desktop each time.
The thinapp process went fine and the program works but every time I log off and log back on it says a hardware change has been detected and I have to re-activate the software in order to use it. It activates successfully and I can use the program but I don't think I should have to do this every time.

How did they get the items - like the video frames in particular - to "wrap" around the globe like that? Perhaps Photoshop is not the right tool? I've seen this same effect with text and other images on various site, and I've always assumed it was done in Photoshop.

From within LR 5.2 I opened an adjusted [NEF] file in PSCC (not as a smart object) and added adjustment layers, etc. With file still open in PS, I returned to LR, made a virtual copy, changed LR adjustments, and attempted to "Edit in..." I simply get referred back to the existing canvas. I'd like to work with both, side by side, and save when I'm ready.

Jan 6, 2008Ok, I need to make a main layer set and another layer set within that main set so its a kind of sub set. But for some reason photoshop simply refuses to do it, I can make two layer sets fine but it wont let me drag one of the sets inside the other set, it will only drag to above the set or below it, not inside it.
Looking at the picture, if I try to drag set two into set one so its inside set one it will not do it. You cant see it on the screenshot but the cursor turns into a grey circle with a cross through the middle.
Is there supposed to be some kind of setting to allow me to do this or is my photoshop completely screwed up? I am using PS7

I was using them all fine for about a week, however today when I started up Photoshop (I'm using CS5) the shape sets I imported had disappeared from the list. All default shape sets are still there, and in the custom shapes source folder all are there including my downloads.

I have tried taking the files out and putting them back in the folder, opening and closing photoshop and restarting my machine, but they won't reappear. The only thing that happened yesterday was that Adobe made an apparently unsuccessful attempt to update Flash.how I can get the shapes to reappear?
Photoshop :: Data Sets And Text Field Width?
Jan 1, 2013 problem I am having is with the text fields. I want my text field to be a specific width to fit within my layout - and have the text expand or contract based on the width of the text layer. What happens now is the Last Name (for instance - could be the First Name, Team Name etc) for instance comes in very long and I have to manually compress the text layer width (the height is always good) to fit in the layout (or comes in really short and I have to expand it).

Going through 100's of PSDs after the import of the dataset really slows down the workflow....is there a way to "lock" a text layer to a specific width (and height) - therefore having the text expand/contract as nessessary when the import occurs?
