View 5 Repliesi am hoping to learn to paint with photoshop but can't seem to find a good tutorial. I don't have a tablet so mine never looks as good as theirs does. Can someone tell me where i can find a tutorial by someone not using a tablet.
Also, those speed things don't help because i can't tell what they are using. If no one can find a tutorial by someone using a mouse, then any good tutorial (that i could still follow with a mouse) will do.
how to use the airbrush or the other painting tools to duplicate reflective surfaces manually like gold, silver, platinum, copper, bronze, etc?
I would like to take for example a line drawing and duplicate a golden belt buckle, ring, gold chain, a chrome bumper, anything like that. I have experimented with gradients and trying out the airbrush, but it doesn't seem to get the effect I'm trying to apply.
I was messing around with the fire technique (its awesome) and I was wondering if there are any tutorials out there that go over smoke as good as this site's tutorials went over the fire. If anyone could post me a link to a good smoke technique page it would be greatly appreciated. I notice that eSJayBee posted a thread called "Anyone care for a sig" and the smoke in that looked awesome,

Since Illustrator is a great vector program I'd like to learn how to make them. I've searched all over the internet for tutorials on how to use the program and to make vector art but I havnt been able to find any good tutorials. Can someone point me in the direction of some good tutorials on how to do vector art? Or if someone wants to write a tutorial on it ...

View 8 Replies View RelatedFormerly using other image software, I have just loaded up CS2 and have a quick project to output that has about 1,000 images in it. All the images need to be stretched width wise by about 133%. Can someone direct me to a quick way to do this on ALL the images quickly instead of one by one as I did with my old software? The images are all .BMP's
Also, and second to the above, if someone can direct me to Adobe CS2 tutorials either free online or purchasable on DVD that would be quite helpful.
i am just looking for some tutorials that can show me how to do graphics design using photoshop. Most of the books show how to use PS for image manipulation, but i want to learn how to design attractive graphics.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAnytime I try to cutout a piece of an image and paste it into another image, the final result always turns out bad. It looks exactly like what it is...a cutout pasted onto another image.
Are there any good tips or tutorials on what to do to an image cutout to make it blend more seamlessly into another image?
I ve bought PS11 and when I get to the Video tutorials Page I can roughly understand what the Instructors say because they speak way too fast for my italian ears and cannot make much of what they say.
My question is this; how can I slow down the audio in a Tutorials? I m sure Adobe has ways to reduce the audio in their tutorials.
I would firstly like to apologise if this topic has been covered in depth but i am desperately looking for the right book/s as a Christmas present to ensure that my girlfriend learns Photoshop CS2 with ease. I have some experience in Photoshop and have been doing an IT degree here in New Zealand for the past 4 years but I’m not a designer so i really need your guys help!
I also appreciate that there are so many books out there but have found that some don’t go into enough depth or lack the variation in examples to significantly cover what photoshop has to offer. I was initially thinking that a couple of books might be necessary to take her from beginner to advanced.
I'm trying to make the edge of this image like the colors on a soap bubble, I've looked at tutorials for doing soap bubbles. It's not usually included in it. Sort of a blurred shiny transparent coloring if that describes it at all.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a project open in a 3d view to paint on a 3d mesh. Everything is fine until I save, close, and reopen. When I open the file to resume I can no longer paint on the model. I can still go to the UV (flat) view for any of the materials on the model but I can't paint on the mesh in 3d view.
Â
I can open a new 3d layer, re-import the mesh, save and reapply all the previously painted texture to the new mesh layer and keep working but this seems not a very efficient work-flow.
Â
I don't think many 3d pros actually use this piece of PS for texturing. This is the first time I've tried the 3d functionality of PS so I may just be overlooking something.
I was painting on top of a picture I took, with the Art History brush one day adding an oil painting look to it (I was working on a new layer and not the layer with my photo on it), at end of the day I saved my work I had done so far and quit the program. The next day, I went to continue my work. When I loaded my work, added a new layer for a new section of the painting I wanted to do. The Art History just painted in white instead of adding the oil painting effect I got the previous day. I picked the same brush presets and the colors on my palette were set to the default colors (the way they were the day before). so that I can continue on with my painting?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI am new to digital painting, and would like to get to know it better. Right now, I want to mimic the style of the attached image. My question is: how do I archive this look? (i.e. what brushes do I use, what tools? Blur? Smudge? etc.) (I am using CS5)
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently working on somthing that will require me to make cartoon characters and color them. So far ive drawn them on paper and put them on my computer. My plan was to scan the image to my computer and use it as a template to place vectors over and reshape them.
Any good way to make cartoon characters using photoshop.
Is there a way to create selection just the same way like you may paint with brush (instead to draw with color to "draw with selection")?

I however have no idea how to do this short of heading at it with a the paintbrush tool. I'd appreciate insight into this and if not is there a possibility that someone has a single color photo of a 96 s-10 pickup that I could use the paint bucket on.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to paint in photoshop using a mouse and I realized that I can not make the mouse do what I wanted it to do. For example the mouse makes my brush strokes too jerky and I don't get smooth lines and the textures don't come out right either. Is the mouse a good tool for painting in photoshop or should I go with something else?

(I have Adobe Photoshop CS2)
I'm creating a 3d Avatar (human model) and getting tired of fixing seams when applying textures to my UV space. I HATE seams around the hairline, sides of shirt and pants, etc. Clean up can either be a pain or it looks bad.
I need a Photoshop plugin were you can paint in your UV areas and it will automatically "tile" your brush strokes so that there are no seams on your 3d model. Is there one out there?
Were you load up your UV layout in photoshop, define the UV areas and paint away without having to worry about seams when I apply it to my 3d model.
Is there such a plugin/script for Photoshop?
Who all has one? Who doesn't. How necessary are they for someone who uses photoshop everyday? What is the going price for a basic tablet.
