I would like the cross and the text N to rotate independantly of the arrow while the N stays with the thick line. That's the easy part. How can I make the N move along the rotation path and keep the text aligned horizontally? I read something about linked action and move, but I can't make it work.
This may be confusing, but I wonder if there's any way to link an object to a certain text place or paragraph in a text frame, so if you edit the text somewhere, the "linked" image will move up/down with its associated text? That is, the object being a part of the text flow.

The bad point about this is that the text becomes rasterised when exported to EPS or PDF (same with vector shapes within a smart object), unlike a regular vector layers which output correctly.
Is there anything i'm missing out on, or do I have to revert to importing all text from illustrator and set up my smart vectors like that?
Is there a way to align text or an object on a page? I have done this using the guides, but there has to be an easier way! I'm looking for vertical and horizontal alignment.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to figure out how to create text within another object that blends in with the background (behind that object).
If you notice the "two plus three equals" portion on the top left of the 5 blends in with the color of the shirt (so if the shirt was red or blue, the "two plus three equals" would show up as red or blue instead of yellow). How do you do this in photoshop? I've been trying to find a tutorial on this for a while, but to no avail.
picture easily explains this: Not really sure how to search for this?
basically black text changes to white over the layer.
way to center text, or an object in the middle of your picture... I have some text I want in the center, but I can't seem to get it right, always seems to look off to one side.
View 6 Replies View RelatedEasy enough in ID and Ill, sure. However, how do you wrap text around an irregular shaped object in Photoshop?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've gone to create a new shape layer or text layer, it appears like it's at 50% opacity. I've checked my layer settings, and they're all at 100% fill and opacity. I can't see any reason why they'd be semi-transparent, and none of the settings I've tried have changed anything. I've even tried deleting the shapes/text, saving my document, and starting over. That worked one time, but this time it's not working.
Even applying a color overlay still results in a semi-transparent shape.I am in the middle of doing a design for a client, for print, and I really can't be dealing with this right now.
I've never worked with 3D effect before (not even in the earlier versions), until now when I finally need it. I've therefore searched the Internet and the Adobe Forums in order to get to know how to wrap a text/image around a glass bottle in Photoshop CS6. I've found several answers and tutorials, but none of them regards CS6 or they are simply too primitive, whereby the effect is too fake. But when I try follow the instructions in the explanations/tutorials I've found so far for earlier versions of Photoshop (especially regarding 3D effects), I can't find the right buttons, commands, etc. - I can't make it work. how to do wrap a text/image around a bottle/cylinder/object in Photoshop CS6?
View 7 Replies View Relatedi have this drawing that a friend made of this certificate. when i click (with the PICK TOOL) on the text that i want to edit it shows Black Box's in the corner (4 of them) around the entire section of that text. my question is how can i edit just one line of that text . i saw them do it at the shop where they made the certificate but they where not using X5.

I am a CorelDraw rookie with a deadline and I am stuck. The problem is this: I have a lot of texts and at times there are objects that should come within the text. So I put it there nicely but when I delete or add something in the text, the object does not follow the text so it all gets in a mess. Is there any way to lock an object to a certain point in the text, so when the text changes the object follows? Does it
make sense?
I've got a sub that grabs all of the text objects in a drawing and then compares the first 20 characters to a defined string. I want it to be able to erase any objects that are a match prior to moving on to the next object in the selection set. With the following code, it does everything but erase the object.
Public Sub RemoveDisclaimer() Dim myDB As Database = HostApplicationServices.WorkingDatabase Dim myDWG As Document = DocumentManager.MdiActiveDocument Dim myED As Editor = myDWG.Editor Dim dsText As DBText Dim dsMText As MText Using myTrans As Transaction = myDB.TransactionManager.StartTransaction 'select all text objects in the drawing Dim myBlockTable As BlockTable = myDB.BlockTableId.GetObject(OpenMode.ForRead) Dim myTypedValue(3) As

View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to have raised or indented text on a 3D object. (A block with my name in raised letters.) I can't find anything in the menus. There is a note function - any way to extrude these letters. Can I import a CorelDraw dwg and somehow make a solid object?
Goal is to create (modify) a solid and export as .STL for a 3D printer.
I can no longer type in the size of an object. I draw a rectangle and then type in the correct size. Nothing happens. The size of the box does not change.
It's the same with text. If I type a name that needs to fit a certain area, I type in the size for the width and it doesn't change.
The setup, im attempting to create mtext aligned to the selected object at the point nearest to where i select, this works fine for active objects, but is failing when it trys to calc the angle on nested objects

i think this is because the point is not associated with the cloned (from xref) object? any thoughts on how to get it to work with the single object selection/insertion point prompt? in the meantime ive re-written to have a second prompt for the insertion point, which works on the cloned object.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs this a feature or a bug?If you make an object (vector or bitmap) 100% transparent, a Repel Text Under setting is ignored. You can take it upto 99.5% transparent.(I wanted to move some text to reflect the position of a shape on a different layer.)

I tried to place the text ABCDE inside of one rectangle (drawn by polyline), in such a way that, the text should be exactly at "Middle Centre" of that rectangle.
I could achieve this 90% purely by my own judgment.
Even when, I tried to draw a rectangle just to touch all 4 sides vertices of the text ABCDE, I could not get any OSNAP points on the text to start a line. Can we treat a "Text" object the way we deal with any other geometrical object - Rectangle, Square, Circle, Triangle or Ellipse?
Is there a way to have text that is in paperspace print under objects that are in model space? like a watermark .

I need to knockout my arched text onto an object. This is the process I have been trying:
Effect > Warp > Arch > ApplyI then select the text and the object together and click 'Divide' in the pathfinders window.
However when I click divide the text reverts back to being a straight line of type. I really need the arch effect to be knocked out.
1. Lately I can't resize an object. The surrounding border of the object is with filled rectanglers and not with hollow rectangler. Thus, I can't resize objects - how can I fix it ?

I am attempting to wrap some 2D text around an object, which has perspective. See example below:
The above is my attempt at wrapping the word "NEIGHBORHOOD" around the object. What I did was Object > Envelope Distort > Make with Mesh... and just approximated how it should look by using a combination of guides. There has got to be a better, more precise way of doing this in illustrator.
