Because of the lighting, the small craters in the wall are filled with shadow. I want to get rid of these shadows and highlight them instead (I want them to be brighter than the rest of the wall).
Every time I try to select the shadows and replace them with light the edges are to hard and the color difference is too big with the rest of the wall. Also I think my selections aren't precise enough.
i am trying to use this photo into this one, I am trying to get the house to sit in the shadow of the light, (like it is illuminated) but am getting into a right mess.
I've been trying to achieve the same look as this chocolate bar... after many months I kind of gave up on making the aluminum foil part My question is about the wrapper. I can see the shadows and I was able to do that.. kind of.. but how about the light on the wrapper? I've been using bevel and emboss and tried 360 degree of light direction and it doesn't look like that at all...
When you apply a drop shadow, the shadow is cast in the same direction from all parts of the object. E.g. the shadow is projected to the right and downwards from the object. In other words the light source is far away and it produces parallel rays of light.
Is there a way to cast a shadow where the light source is quite close to the object? For example imagine the light source was just above the object. Parts of the object on the left would have their shadow projecting to the left and down and parts of the object on the right would have a shadow projecting to the right and down.
I have a little problem during rendering interior of apartment. I am using Auto Cad 2009 and I have trouble with shadow and light. In realistic view, when I turn on the sunlight, inside of apartment iz visible only the part of the room on which the sunlight is falling through the windows, and I can't make the rest of the room visible as it should be during the day. Here are the pictures. First is without shadow and light, second is with shadow and light, and on the third is additionally turned on background sky.
I have two different pictures opened up on my Photoshop and would like to copy one face on the other pictures face...The pictures are slightly different in size.....and copy and paste do not work,
I have an logo that has a brown background and a white foreground. How do I swap around the colours so that the background becomes white and the foreground becomes brown? Also is it possible to replace one colour with another colour. I am currently using Photoshop 6.
i'm trying to do is too replace the American flag with the other flag. From the images below you can see that I wasn't really succesfull when I did it. It just isn't natural.
Ok so I have a family photo. Able to now move the heads around by creating separate layers for each. Just trying to figure out to do with the "white" areas that are left behind due to the varying sizes of the heads. So when I switch the head I have all this extra white space left behind from the prior head. What tool is best to cover up the white area with say the background behind the head ? Clone stamp doesn't seem to work inside the white area.
I am trying to animate a casino-like light board made of tens of light bulbs/leds. I thought the easiest way to do it would be creating a matrix of bulbs arranged by material ID and then design a pattern in multi sub-object materiel so I could somehow scrub through it and achieve animation effect. The material modifier allows to change ID for the whole object only and MaterialByElement shuffle ID`s in a random manner.
I am attempting to build a facsimilie enigma machine, I would like to know how best to create an effect so that when a key is pressed a corresponding letter appears to light up. Btw I am not looking for an animated image, I can take care of the transitions between on and off, I just need to create the two image states.
How do you lock the pivot point of a light to the light itself? I thought just adding a Axis node would move the light and pivot point but the pivot does not move. Is there a way of parenting them together?
How do I use the standard Revit can lights in a wood joist floor with drywall applied to the bottom? If I place in a suspended ceiling, can lights light up just fine. However, if I use them in the floor space of a wood joist floor, the light itself gets covered with the floor. How can I get the light to cut the floor out so I can see the light when it is rendered?
I don't know if this problem was already there in earlier 3ds max versions, but i cant find anywhere on the internet how to create a shadow on a invisible plane like matte shadow could :
I have been having some issues within the unwrap editor and do not seem to find a similar question here. Basically we are creating models of tractors so the left and right sides of certain parts are just a mirror of each other. Regardless of which piece I'm applying the modifier on, when I save the UVW and apply it to the complementary/opposite piece on the other side the unwrap looks perfect, however the textures look stretched/warped. The only way to correct this is to reset the unwrap and re-flatten and redo the whole piece (unwrap) again. Basically not saving any time by "loading" the previous unwrap that I had just saved. Since the unwrap itself looks like the saved one BUT I was wondering if somehow the vertices are being swapped like X is now Y, Z is now X, etc. The viewports show the XYZ orientation still correct but the UNWRAP seems to be different.
I have an image, and there's a part of it that's red that I want to turn into a different shade of red (or a different color altogether)--but I want the rest of the image to remain unchanged.
How do I do that? (This is seriously the first time I've ever used a graphic art computer program of any sort, so I am a complete square-one newb.)
It seems like such an insanely simple thing to do, yet I've searched and searched the internet, and it seems like all the tutorials I've found don't work or leave out some sort of important step that I don't get, and I just can't get it right. The best I've done so far is to convert *most* of the red stuff to a different color, all except the outer edges, making it look pixelated and gross.
I have a Macpro with 4 internal hard drives. I keep photos on one of the drives and videos on two of the other drives and swap out these drives with other drives that have videos on them. I also use external drives that have videos on them. I want to import videos from all of the different drives that I swap back and forth.
1. What will happen if I tag videos on the internal drives and then swap them out with other drives? Will it just show a broken link to the video until I put it back in?
I am having problem with swapping Sources in History in the record timeline. In the History view I can double click on the processes in the tree, i.e. Action or refrain but if I double click the source to swap it out nothing happens. Nothing at all.
what could be causing this, really very annoying when I want to replace the current footage with a new render from 3d.
I need to swap my level 1 and level 2 of my building's floorplans. What is the most efficient way to take the walls etc. from level two and place them on level 1, and take whats on level 1 and place them on level 2? I am swapping the floorplans.
what the technique is called when you swap the values of two of the colors within a selection?
For example, let's say that we have a nice pinkish color for something... but you don't want pinkish. This would keep things looking relatively nice, simply by swapping all the red values with the blue values, giving you nice lavender-ish color instead. Or perhaps swapping blue with green values, giving you a more orange-y color.
I have a gradient mesh and I used a single pantone color to shade it, ie. with different tints of the one colour.
I want to see what it looks like in a different pantone color and wondered if there was a way to swap out the original color for a new one and keep the different percentages at the same time.
I'm having a bit of a frustrating issue with flipped faces. Basically I have an object that i am trying to mirror over as an instance. Just like dozens of other object within the same scene, MAX decides to flip the faces on the mirrored object. Simple fix would be to highlight the affected object and flip the faces back. This only causes the "unique" object to flip backwards instead. So, because the objects are instanced, the objects are essentially "swapping" flipped face orientation between the two always leaving one of them with flipped faces. Iv'e tried adding a normal modifier to one, but still resulting in the same issue. I have also tried messing around with resetting x form.
I have a completed drawing that needs to be with a different title block and maybe page size. Is there a way to swap this out without having to recreate the drawing on the desired format?
Hovering over a row of thumbnails, I swap the full size photo following this code :
var photo = new Image(); photo.src = 'images/'+fileName; // parameter of the function console.log(fileName+' L= '+photo.width+' H= '+photo.height); sym.$('toile').attr({ width: photo.width, height: photo.height, src: photo.src });
The full size photo swaps, but retaining the dimensions of the first one (initially on the Edge stage).
Even more puzzling, as you can see in the following screen capture, sometimes I can get the correct photo.width and photo.height (even if it isn't correctly assigned to the 'toile' element), and sometimes those values are zero ! And I feel so lost that this seems random.
May be it has to do with loading delay, asking the width and height information before it is available ? Should I necessarily preload the images ?
we are using a Dell T5500, WIN7, 64bit with 24 GB main memory. Corel X5 seems to use only a small part of it, although we have large files and jobs (e.g. to export to Adobe Illustrator). This takes a long time (> 10 min), where sometimes Corel even writes nothing to the AI file.
CPU usage is medium, memory usually around 2GB, but not larger.
How can we bring Corel to use more memory to be faster and/or in order to avoid swapping else writing nothing into Adobe Illustrator?
I'm trying to swap one type of inlet for another. I can swap the type-13 to a type-R but when I try to swap it for a double type-13 it reverts to the single type-13. This is happening with a 7' manhole as well. I can swap a 6' for a 4' or an 8' but it will not swap to a 7', it reverts to a 6'. Is there something in the catalog for this that preventing the swap?
