I am creating a chrome emblem using Photoshop's CS6's 3D tool. On the face of the surface I want a specific reflection (an image of city street with people walking, etc.). I want to be able to control this reflection by moving it around on the surface so I can control what is reflecting.

I need to show where floodwaters would get to at a specific elevation so that contour would be the easiest way if I can contour the surface with just 1 elevation. I don't want to have to create 0.1' contours all over the site and then remove all the extras.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a 100 acre park that I am doing earthworks. I have 1 proposed and 1 existing surface. The park is now broke into 5 different areas and I need to get cut and fill for each area. Is there a way to do a volume report for a particular area? I could define the area with a polyline. Or do I need to copy the proposed surface and start chopping up into 5 areas?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am curious if it is possible to modify only specific portions of a surface? For example, I have recieved an xml surface representing FG for a project, and want to do an earthwork calculation, could I raise and lower only portions of the project say by using specific boundaries for the asphalt paving, concrete etc. and then implement the raise & lower surface feature for these portions of the FG surface.
At this time I have been creating multiple surfaces for each particular feature of the site, then paste the FG surface, add a boudary and lower appropriately. Finally, I have to go through and paste each particular feature and its small surface into one "subgrade surface" to get an accurate representation. This method results in countless small surfaces and alot of leg work for something that seems like it should be simple.
I know that the surface defentions (FL's or corridors), should they be provided, would make this easy, but there have been several occasions where these are not being made availble by the project sponsor.Â
I created surfaces in Civil 3d 2011 for existing and proposed and I did a surface volume between them. Is it possible to create a specific contour in the volume surface that represents the fill volume elevation (daylight line I think)? My proposed surface is a flood water elevation and I need to define the boundary at that elevation.

I use Civil 3D 2011 and I am new to it. I have created a natural ground surface from survey points. Now i want to create a finished surface with a specific slope in a specific direction at a specific elevation and then to calculate cut and fill volume.

I've had a simple lisp I've been using for years that suddenly disappeared. It required that you identify a block name, tag name, and the value that you want the tag to be. All of this is performed via command line, so it is scriptable. Since I lost it, I've been experimenting with -attedit. This command comes frustratingly close to what I'm looking for, except it only appends an existing tag, or replaces a specific string within the tag; I can't get it to replace the entire tag, regardless of its value.

What I want to know is if there is a way to make a hotkey or at all save specific options for specific tools. Let's say I'm using the 'Paintbrush, Opacity 70%, Hardness 075, Size 4.00' as my "standard outline tool". Can I some how save that preference (and any other tool such as "Specific Eraser Op. 100%, Hard. 100, Size 10.00) so that I can easily switch between "Ouline Brush" and "Specific Eraser" . Maybe to the 'f-buttons'

-Small Eraser
-Big Eraser
-Detailed Color brush
-Big Color Brush.
Im using Autocad Structural Detailing 2013. Its is possible to make specific command to start at specific layers?
EX: Breakline ,by default start at "LAYER 88".
Polyline ,by default start at "LAYER 150".
I'm trying to remake a picture of the new 747 Advanced, and I cant figure out how to make a nice looking reflection.
Here is the picture I'm talking about, and the picture I'm working on. I'm not actually going to deal with the reflection untill the end, but I figured I would ask now in hopes that someone would reply before I actually get to that point lmfao.
The main things I want to reflect is the wing onto the body of the plane, and the windows onto the wing.
I really want this to look professional when it's done. I'm trying to build up my portfolio, and I want to turn this into a united airlines poster.

The typical filp verticial, does not produce the correct angle and I cant see how to achieve it.

I have scoured the forums and tried distorting the picture but can't seem to get it right. I have attached another file showing an example of a disasterous attempt.

how to reflect an image?
I was taking photos for my club's badges and I thought using a green screen would be useful in editing the images later. It turns out that the green reflected off the wall and highlight some or all of the outter edge of the people photographed. This is a pretty mild example, but you can see the green bleed over into the hair especially. Listed below is an example of what I mean.
Is there any adjustments that I could do to recover the image? I'm half-skilled at photoshop, knowing enough to be dangerous, but I do pretty decent work and make it look like I know what I'm doing most of the time.

... And this is what my attempts look like, the front end of the reflected car is not right, and no matter how much I use the Skew/perspective or distort tools it doesn't look real.
Using CS6 on Windows 7. I've got a product photo of a product with square corners and the shot is taken on a angle so that a corner is pointed out towards you with 2 sides going away from you. I've created a copy of the layer, flipped it vertically and lowered the opacity to create a reflection. I then added a layer mask to the reflection layer and then a gradient to fade out the relection to solid white on 1 side of the product. But I need to apply a gradient to the other side of the product to fade out its reflection, but when I do this, it removes the first gradient. How can I fade out both sides of my reflection?
