Im thinking of getting a surface pro, I have been using a keyboard and mouse for years so use short cut keys a lot and will have to get used to using menus again. However I was wondering because a tablet has no alt key how could I select a clone point for the clone stamp?

View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since I upgraded Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 a few days ago, my pen pressure randomly changes to the default brush stroke in CS6 Extended. I am using a Wacom Intuous 5 Tablet with a wireless kit.
My pen pressure works perfectly fine in CS5, Paint Tool Sai, and Painter 12, but I am most comfortable with CS6 and really do not want to bounce between programs.
Reset my Photoshop Preferences using ctrl+shift+alt
Completely uninstalled and reinstalled the newest driver (Driver 6.3.7-5) as well as tried using older drivers.
Unistalled everything relating to Wacom on my computer and reinstalling.
Tried disabling Mouse settings through Device Manager.
Turned off/on Windows Ink.
Changed pen nibs.
Changed USB ports.
Removed My and All User Preferences using the Tablet Preference Utility
Turned off Flicks and changed Double Tap and Press and Hold settings.
I contacted Wacom and their response was:
"If the pressure sensitivity is just fine with the Tablet Diagnostics then you will need to contact Adobe."
About the only thing I have not done is unistalled/reinstalled CS6, which I am nervous to do because I no longer have my physical copy and as far as I can tell, it is only available to download through CC.
After making the move to Windows 7 a few months ago everything went fine regarding my tablet. Then a month later the driver died, i installed a newer version of the tablet for W7 and since then ive been having nightmares regarding the touch functionality of the tablet.
As of a week or two ago, the pen functionality has started dieing too. Im almost certain that what ever problems im having is not related to the tablet itself but my machine.When photoshop is not the active window, my pen can control the cursor to any position on the screen, however once photoshop is the active window, i can only control the upper left corner of the monitor. Ive tested it on a few apps and the same is happening on Fireworks, After Effects.

I am using photoshop CS6 on a 64 bit windows system and my Cintiq 12 will not function with the pressure sensitivity.

I am trying to select End point of line for drawing rectangle and trying to select rectangle in PressPull command but i am not able to select in one side on other side i can do very nicely.

In LR4, you clicked, held down, and dragged your cursor to select a custom target source point to sample from... Clearly with the big update to the Spot removal tool in LR5, this action has a different effect... So in order to mimic that old action, you have to hold down Command (Mac) while clicking and dragging to select from a custom source point.
This issue I'm having is that when doing this, the Clone/Heal option always defaults to clone. I would say that 90% of the time, I'd rather have it acting as a 'Heal' instead. Having to then go and click 'Heal' to update this fact on every single spot removal is highly time intensive to say the least, when you are editing thousands of images, in my case, at a time.
Am I missing something, or is it possible to change this Default to 'Heal' instead of clone? I like that LR4 would leave the Clone/Heal option wherever you last set it, and you had to manually change it in order to use it differently.
I was wondering if there is a way to select specific 3D points out of a point cloud (.pcg). I am new with Autocad and handling of point clouds .
I can think of various things that you might want to do, as in clean up a bit the data or even delete some areas that you are not interested with. additionally, one might want to do some calculations, so selecting points first and the running a list script to use that points can be handy as well.

when selecting a point group from the prospector tab, sometimes the point grips will light up and sometimes only the points will be only dashed.
Having the grips light up like that is very useful when viewing a region with many point groups.
How do I toggle this on and off?

User select texts on screen. => Making a Selection Set of those selected texts. DONE
For each select text is on screen another text (on another layer) with the same coordinates.
For each text in the first Selection Set, I try to create a second SelectionSet (filtered to select text only, named acPSResPCode) but that SelectionSet stay always null. If I make the SelectionSet without filter I select every lines in the crossing windows, but no text are selected.

I am lucky enough to have access to a developer version of the recent Xbox One Kinect hardware. Naturally there is currently no software on the market that allows point clouds/mesh's to be obtained using the scanner within the Kinect.
I have seen that AutoCAD has been utilised to achieve this and wondered if there is any literature or instructions as to how this is achieved? Is there a plugin required that is able to control the Kinect V2 and output point cloud data from scans?
I'm trying to use the clone tool to erase creases around an eye.
I have the layer with the eye in it active, I choose the clone tool, I hit CTRL and click the area of flesh around the eye I want to copy, I see a moving outline of the flesh that's being copied, It works spiffingly! I change brush size to work in a smaller area, I hit CTRL and click the area of flesh I want to copy, I see a moving outline of the flesh I want to copy, But nothing! My cursor moves, but no cloning going on.
This has been plaguing me for a while but I've had projects going that I didn't want to interrupt. It's gotten to the point that I just can't take it anymore. I really need the clone tool for this phase of this project
I am having a problem with a delay in selecting an object and selecting a command.
When I select an object the pointer has at least a 3 second delay before it starts moving around normally again. It is the same with selecting a command. This has started to get tedious. It has worked fine in the past so I don't think it is a RAM/graphics card problem.
when I set black point using windows, the image switches between blank and full image, why?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOK, today, or actually just this afternoon I've noticed it has become much harder to select items with the mouse.
Points, nodes, etc...anything where you'd typically hover the mouse over the item and it highlights for you to select it.
For example, lets say you want to project a point from another sketch, or select the center node of a line, etc.
Never really had an issue until this afternoon where now it seems I have to be right on top of the item and I cannot budge one bit or it won't select it. It is now taking me numerous attempts to select things like points (zooming in does not work, points scale accordingly).
Is there a setting somewhere? I can't seem to find such under Tools>Application Options and the like.
As a beginner i'm learning day by day how to use photoshop. Among the functions i 'd like to handle with there's the vanishing point (in the filter menu). However i can't modify the angles of my selection to change the perspective grid.
