When I check "Scale to Fit Media" in my print options what exactly is going on? Does it get resampled? Does the resolution change? And what is the difference between using this option and setting my document size in the "Image Size" dialog box?
View 6 RepliesIs there a way to setup Photoshop CS6 print settings so that "Scale To Fit Media" is the default. I tried to create an action and then through Bridge select a folder and Batch send the files to Open-Print-Close. Since images are never received 8.5"x11" it would be convenient to have this as a default. Since the print settings revert, or aren't defaulting to "settings last used", my batch attempt was unsuccessful. I know I could edit my action to adjust image size to page dimensions, but thought a way to edit the Print settings default must be out there somewhere. (Using MacBook Pro OSX 10.8.4)

View 6 Replies View RelatedUsing photoshop elements 9, the print driver printer settings are not allowing me to choose a drop-down option for page set-up "sheet" or "media type". This is where I should be able to choose "cassette", but it's only showing me a blank drop down. I tried Espon help. I tried Adobe chat. Using a MacBook Pro 10.6.8. Just getting to the "printer settings" is buggy too, as it won't go to it until I've chosen another option, e.g. "Roll Paper Settings" first.

The Lighting effects in CS6 are really nice but im having some difficulty with scaling the lights.
When you mouse over the handles on the lighting area, a small tool tip appears to say "scale width, scale length, rotate, move" The thing is I am having a nightmare to get "scale width, scale length" to show up.
I have to mouse over, twiddle about, wait, move the mouse away, shake it etc before finally it decides to show "scale length" It seems like the 'hot zone' for move & rotate is large but scale is just one invisible pixel you have to search around for.
LR5 version 5.3 abends when selecting media type in the print module; on Mac OSX 10.9.1. Why? The printer is an Epson 4900.

As it is possible to import 3D objects in PS... And display it in outline in an orthographic view, I'm wondering how to print this view at scale 1:1 of the model size...
and not the size of the image file defined in pixels. AS a workaround is it possible to export that view in vector format to edit and print in Illustrator or Acrobat.

When I am go to "File > Print" the print screen begins to load and then completely freezes. The default printer is set to "Brother GT-541". This is a digital garment inkjet printer. If I switch the default printer to something else, the print screen will load without issue. If I then change the destination printer in the drop-down menu to "Brother GT-541" it will freeze. Once Illustrator is frozen, I need to force quit in order to get back into Illustrator.
I contacted the company we purchased the Brother GT-541 from - to see if they were aware of any issues. There were none - but they explained that they have no customers who use CS4, most all of them use CS3 or prior. They advised that I update the Brother GT-541 printer driver, which I did - and it turned out to be no luck.
I get this prompt while copying sequences between projects with gateway-linked footage, and I'm not sure what it means.

Needed to print out an old Xara image today so downloaded and installed Xara Web Designer 7 as this seems to be the nearest I can get to the old Xara Xtreme that runs on my laptop.
However, I can't find any "Print" option. It's not under File, Ctrl P doesn't do anything, nothing under right clicking. I need to print something quickly and I've given up trying to find the Print option. where have they 'hidden' Print?
Also, am I correct in thinking Web Designer 7 is the nearest program with features to Xara Xtreme or are the features of Xara Xtreme loss forever to this new web site design program?
where when I try to export my video, I get a pop up window saying 'some media is offline, it will be rendered using the red media offline graphic'. in Premier pro all my media seems to be online, I have followed several different video tutorials on how to re-link media and the option to re-link media is greyed out for me as there is no media that is unlinked, so why does this message come up when trying to export? Playback in PP is fine, all media appears to be online.
Having viewed the exported video it seems that all the media which has been replaced by the red 'media offline' logo is all the .MTS files filmed on my Camcorder whereas all the GoPro footage is showing up correctly in the exported video.
I am working with Corel Draw X5, Version 15.2.0.626 on a Windows 7 PC which is connected via Novell IPrint to a Conica minolta Bizhub C280 and A HP Offic Jet 850. On both printers I have noticed that a 1:1 print shows differences in scale to the sketch I have made at Corel Draw. As an example I have created a cm scale of 40cm with lines in cm and mm distance. Then I have printed it on both printers and I noticed that at the 28cm position the printed scale is only 27.95cm long. This error occurs on both printers. I have tried to create a CAD drill diagram but because of these large errors I will get holes on the wrong position. This diagram uses distances of 35 cm and here the error is nearly one millimeter.
