I have imported roughly 100 images via scanner. Currently I am ctrl+alt+s to save as > Selecting JPG from drop > clicking save > Clicking ok JPEG Options > clicking the X to close the window ? Clicking NO to save..
I have a job to do. It requieres me to open around 40.000 tiff files. Each file i around 1-2 GB. Some of them have to be rotated and saved, but mostly I just have to check that they looks ok and close them without saving them. Code:
When I double-click a file it will open the file in CS6 version 13.0.1, but then after a while double-clicking will no longer open jpeg or raw files. I can open the same files by going to File > Open in the Menu Bar.  When I am simply opening downloaded files from my camera, I can open 200-300 by double-clicking with no problems. However, at times when I am working on an image, it is not long before I can't open a file by double-clicking. It will open a blank Photoshop window, but without any Toolbar or Menu Bars.  This happens on a regular basis. Sometimes, also, Photoshop is slow to Quit, for no apparent reason.
Is there any way for me to choose a bunch of .dsd files, and have those be batch plotted? At the moment I have to publish one .dsd file at a time, and each .dsd file can take about 10 minutes to go through all the layouts I have.
Does Autocad have that capability built in? Or is this a problem that can be solved with scripts?
I had my automatic save set up for every 10 minutes but files were not being saved regularly. I deleted files from the Temp folder thinking it was full and now there are no .sv$ saving at all. How can I make drawings save automatically every 10 minutes?
Deleting files and saving files brings up an error message. Files can't be deleted from lightroom which makes editing a nightmare. Also Saving Files (raw of jpeg), brings up an error message everytime.
I want to animate using video frames as guidelines in photoshop. Is there a way I can
1) Import a video file as frames/ layers
2) Easily do paintovers of each frame on separate layers
Obviously I can just insert the video frames as single layers and create a new layer over the top of each frame and do a paintover however this is a long process.
IMPORTANT I want to beable to see the last frames paintover with the new frame underneath so I can see what I just painted while still using the current video frame as reference. Is there some way to do this easily in photoshop as the animation panel is rubbish
I want to achieve something like this [URL]
HOWEVER, this guys has literally traced the frames, I need to use the previous paintover in conjunction with the new frame as reference. I am not tracing as such
I need to use the photoshop tools, I dont know if photoshop is the best software to use.
I have a couple dozen large-ish TIFFs that I need to convert to JPEGs...is there a one-time "Save As" command that will convert all, without having to repeat the "Save As" command for each, one at a time?
I have created a photoshop file with around 20 different text layers. The sizing and the location of the layers is essential. When my editor imports the file the text layers lose their properties (sizing and placement). Is there something I should be doing to help solve this problem? Can you use text layers between photoshop and final cut?
I trying to touch up an old photo that has lots of white spots on it. I want to use the patch tool but when a select a section of the photo and use it to patch the patch is partly transparent, you can still see white through the patch. I don't have transparent selected so I don't know why this is happening?
I have 75 different images and would like to apply 4 different hue adjustment layers to each image and save them so I have 300 new images.
Idea on how to do this is;
Copy hue adjustment layer Merge the lower hue layer with the top image layer. Name the merged layer to what the image layer was Save newly merged layer and image layer in PNG format.
Doing this 300 times manually will take me an age, are there any scripts for CS4 that can automate this?
Every time I reduce the size (height & length) of a picture in Photoshop, I get a lot more pixels everywhere. And when I mean a lot, it's really so dirty that I cannot use it !
I don't understand because i've got some pictures from a Canon 40D that are really good quality, about 3800px X 2500px, it says its about 28cm large. If I reduce to 14cm, so half the size, I almost don't recognize the people on the picture if it's a group picture: a face is just composed of a few pixels. But when I send the pictures to a professional to print them on a 10cm postcard, it's perfect as the original, no "pixel-distortion".
I've tried many ways to shrink the picture: image size, free transform, I've tried tiff, jpeg... It's always the same. - Do you know a good way to shrink pictures without having the "pixelisation" problem, is there some settings to take care off ? Even maybe another software that would do the trick?
I become desperate because I'm working on a Dvd cover and the quality is so poor it would be better with my cellphone and it was shoot with a Canon 40D. I had this problem over and over with pictures from different origins and it's annoying when I have to work on small printout.
I want to create some typography in Photoshop that will be used to create a web address that will be applied as a watermark to lots of images. Â 1. After I create the watermark, any easy way to apply it to lots of images? As an action? Something else? Is this easier to do in Lightroom? Â 2. Any style of typography/color that would convey a Mediterranean villa style?
I want to create an image that will be composed of lots of layer masks that I am going to use to paint different effects back over someone's face. I currently have a hue/saturation adjustment layer that I used to de saturate the image and then I selectively painted that desaturated layer back over the skin of someone, I also want to add some green so I created a color balance layer and made a layer mask out of it and want to selectively paint back some green to the skin tone. Â 1. Does it matter in the layer stacking order where these adjustment layers/layer masks reside? 2. Any general tips for working with an image with lots of adjustment layers/layer masks?
I am new to photoshop and I am having a problem saving my layers in PSD Photoshop cs5.5. I created 4 layers. The problem is that after saving it as a PSD file and during the save process the layers box is checked, it wont open with all layers. So if I close the original that has all 4 layers and then reoping it after its saved, its not the same. The picture looks proper and all layers are in the picture, but on the side properties panel it looks like this..
When trying to save a .psd file today after working on an image I got a message saying - Could not save as "_IJD3271.psd" because of disk error. What might be causing this to appear and even better how to remedy it. This has just started today as I was working recently on images and saving them without any problems whatsoever.
I have at home pc, but in college I am using Mac,s. I have one concern if im going to work on some kind of project at home on my pc and then I will wanna carry on on it at the college were I'm gonna use Mac, will I be able to load that project? If not what should I do? Because today when I Mac didn't load me a InDesign file which I saved on my PC. I don't want this happen to PS files.
I just installed CS6 on a new computer, i7 and plenty of everything. Also has windows 8, yuck. On my previous computer running a different ps but the same Lr version, I had no issues. But saving images is a nightmare. I shoot in raw, so my files are large. From within Lr, to bring a photo in tiff format over to ps, edit, save, it will take minutes PER photo. Yet bringing the same raw image into ps via bridge, it saves fine...still a bit slow, but not even close to the lag. Same issue whether it is psd or tiff.
There is no software on my computer other than cs6 and lr4.2, no antivirus, nothing except the other garbage that comes with win 8. I think that because I can't find anything on this issue, it must be due to win 8 as the OS and it is causing a disconnect between Lr and ps.
In photoshop (on PC) I get the message that the file is open and in use whenever I try to save as a file in any format, so cannot save my changes to a new file.
I have spent considerable time trying to "save as" some of my high-res TIFFs into other folders as TIFFS, yet PS has insisted on reducing ppi's on these folders from original count of 600 - 1200 to 72 ppi...WHY?
I want to save the changes made in PS CS5 for Mac to another file as a TIFF, so why is PS insisting on reducing the ppi to 72?
I am using PB Works as a Wiki generator which has a limited graphics editor. What it can do however is import JPG files. So, using Photoshop (I have version CS3) I thought I could take a JPG photo, add hotspots to it and then save it as a JPG before uploading it to the Wiki system. Then I could insert this JPG file into the appropriate part of the Web page (PB Works generates).  Is this possible to do?Â
I created my own set of actions in PS CS5. When i open a folder of JPGs and want them to get changed by that set automatically everything works but the saving the file.
I tried safe&close and renaming the files and safing them in another folder but they don´t get saved. all that pops up is a window asking me where i want to safe the copy-file of that JPG . If I do so it saves the file with the changes from the set. but it stops everytime.
I have this problem since I bought my SSD into my MacBook Pro. It happens both with Photoshop CS5 and CS6.  My hard disk configuration is a little bit weird. I have an SSD and an HDD (in the opti bay). The (OS X 10.7 Lion) system itself is on the SSD, and the user directories (/Users/gk/) are symlinked from the HDD because the SSD does not have enough space. There is one exception: the /Users/gk/Library folder is not on the SSD, but on the HDD to preserve the speed, so it's a double symlink.
I am not able to save images at all, it pretends to to it, but in fact the save operation reaches only the point, where the image is saved in ~/Library/ Caches/TemporaryItems (which is on the SSD), but then it is not moved to it's save location.
We're having a problem with saving files... Â The specs: Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate; Photoshop CS6 Â The problem: Files are saving to old dates... PSD file created say on Aug 04, 2012. Saved as a TIFF today, August 18. But the date shown in Windows Explorer is July 08, not today's date. Same thing happened with a JPG Â This doesn't seem to be happening with PSD files. Â Okay, so i looked into the file (the PSD) a bit and saw that the PSD file was derived from another PSD file that had been created on July 08. Â Now, for some reason all TIFFs and JPGs are taking the original created date and not the latest modified date. Â I've just given one example, but the problem seems to be happening across the board, In some cases, which is how it caught our eye, the file date goes back to Feb, though it was worked on and saved as a TIFF yesterday (August 17).
