Photoshop :: Apply Hue / Saturation Layer To Lots Of Images
Jul 28, 2012I have 75 different images and would like to apply 4 different hue adjustment layers to each image and save them so I have 300 new images.
Idea on how to do this is;
Copy hue adjustment layer Merge the lower hue layer with the top image layer. Name the merged layer to what the image layer was Save newly merged layer and image layer in PNG format.
Doing this 300 times manually will take me an age, are there any scripts for CS4 that can automate this?

Aug 30, 2011The only thing that has changed since Friday is the install of SP1. I use the old dialog boxes instead of the mini-toolbars (don't get me wound up). I just noticed yesterday some strange behavior when I change the value in the dialog box.
In the example in the attached screenshots, I started the fillet command and selected edges. The default fillet was ".3" and I want to change to ".4375". As you can see in the image, at one point while typing, Inventor decided to highlight the entry again, and as you see overwrote the ".4" with "375".
I'm checking other dialog boxes now but so far all I know is the fillet dialog box. Also does it on the value of a variable fillet too.

Illustrator :: Graph Data Entry Window Be Non Functional?
Jan 15, 2014In a new Illustrator file, I select "Object...Graph...Graph Type" and make sure I have pie graph selected. Then I draw the circle I want to be a pie graph, make sure it's selected and choose "Object...Graph...Data" which opens the graph data entry "spreadsheet" but the text box and buttons on the top are greyed out and there are no visible cells. If I move the pointer around inside the window, it does become the "row/column" resize pointer as if there are cells present but disabled.

Mar 24, 2013I have just been trying to resize some images on the latest version - 3.510.4297.28964 - and I have typed the measurements that I wanted into the print size fields on the resize dialogue. The actual sizes the program resizes the images to differ though - some look to be about right, whereas some come out much larger, but they all show the dimensions that I inserted in the canvas size box.
I'm sure I've done this before and this hasn't happened?
Photoshop :: Any Way To Resize A Group Of Photos At The Same Time?
Mar 4, 2009I've taken a large quantity of digital photos during the rare snow we had this year. Am new at digital and unfortunately I took at too great of a resolution for what I want to do with them.
I am making GIF backgrounds for PPT, and some grouping will have as many as sixty pics in them. But the file sizes are HUGE (my goof) and GIF animators can't handle them.
Is there any way to compress batches of photos all at once? (Can't find that on the Batch command unfortunately) Resizing them one by one is laborious, even using hotkeys. Time is an issue.

Oct 12, 2008So here's the problem. I managed to delete a photo from my digital camera. Now I need it back. I recovered the file, but strangely, it's not actually recovered.
Now, I know file recovery is hit and miss, and since this was a photo from the camera itself (not a memory card), things get more complicated. Anyway, I manged to get back the photo...sort of.
The file I now have is 160x120, instead of the 3040x2288 it should be. Now, if this was an actual thumbnail, I would expect the file size to be pretty small. Instead, this little 160x120 image is 2.16MB. This leads me to belive that somehow I can get the real photo (or at least something better than the little image) back from the file. There has to be a reason for that much extra data, right?
Does anybody know how to do this? I figured Photoshop might have some advanced sort of raw file reading or some sort of rebuilding/recovery. Alternatively, someone could point me to a good recovery program (or even some other way to do this).
If it helps, the camera that the file came from is an HP Photosmart M627.
Illustrator :: How To Resize Multiple Artboards At The Same Time
Feb 26, 2014I'm currently on CS6 but I'm looking for a solution that can also work on CS5 for a co-worker.
Having multiple artboards has been established since CS4 and I have yet to see an official way of resizing multiple artboards, if anything there should at least be a plug-in.
As great of a feature it is, it seems a little short sited. If one has multiple artboards one should be able to manage multiple artboards, right?
I totally love having multiple artboards but I should be able to resize and manage multiple artboards as well. This is great for building icon sets but how can I resize the set all at once?
I was considering trying to do an action but odds are I still would have to select an artboard one by one to do which doesn't save much time if you have like 30 artboards to apply this to. I don't even see a batch render for artboards and Photoshop has that for its files.

Jun 28, 2009I'm running WinXP SP3. I just upgraded from CS2 to CS4 (and yes, I installed the update.
I'm currently running 11.0.1).
Whenever I load photoshop, just as it is about to finish "Initializing panels..." an error box pops up saying: "Adobe Photoshop CS4: Photoshop.exe - Entry Point Not Found" "The procedure entry point
Is ThreadDesktop Composited could not be located in the dynamic link library USER32.dll." After the box pops up I press the "Okay" button (that's the only one there) and it then opens Photoshop - which works perfectly. No other errors, no missing functions, no lag.
I'm pretty sure getting an error during start up is a good indication that not everything is 100%.

I was adding images into the flyer fine for a while, but then when I clicked on an image to resize it there were no handles and I couldn't resize. So they centre correctly I want to make each image, say, 400px x 400px, and if they're landscape images they'll have white space at the top and bottom, and sides if they're portrait. Jan 7, 2008I have my own personal scheme for how to do images for the web, which includes an initial cropping and scaling down to 700 pixel width or 600 pixel height, followed by different image manipulations. I just recently got Scott Kelby's book on his 7-point system and it seems that these examples are all for print use and he doesn't seem to scale his images down (haven't read the whole book yet, so perhaps he discuss this later on). But my question is, when is the best time to do the scaling down if one follows Scott's scheme and just want to use the images for posting on the net, is it early on after doing the initial raw adjustments or is at the very end before doing the last sharpening.

Sep 1, 2013I'm using Photoshop CS6 to assemble and export a series of extremely high-res tiles. Long story short, they will be used to make up a large map in a mobile app.
I have a pretty tight deadline and I've just been stopped in my tracks by an error I get when I try to scale them up.
Each tile is a layered PSB file, 16384 x 16384px at 72dpi, about 2-3GB in size. All I want to do is scale them up to double their size - 32768 x 32768px.
When I try to do this, I receive the error, 'Could not complete the Image Size command because the result would be too big'.
What exactly does this mean in terms of size (filesize or pixel dims)? What's the problem?
Since I'm working in PSB format and I'm resizing within the bounds of the 300,000px limit, I don't understand why I'm not permitted to scale up to 32768px.
I need to preserve the layers as Smart Objects in order to upscale them... so no flattening.
All I can think of is splitting the files into smaller tiles (I currently have 28 tiles to upscale).

I have tried to resize the image, but have not had much success as the images always come out highly pixelized with white space around it.

Nov 24, 2012my copy of Photoshop can't do it right. Specifically, I'm using CS4, but I have a feeling that doesn't matter.
Step 1 - Create a new file that is 4 pixels wide by 4 pixels tall. (Use basic options: 72 pixels/inch, RGB Color, Square Pixels, etc.)
Step 2 - Using the pencil tool, draw a red dot (1 pixel wide/tall) in each corner. So that the image looks like this:
Step 3 - In the menu, go to "Image" > "Image Size..." and increase the width and height of the image to 400 pixels using "Nearest Neighbor".
Now here's the image I end up with:
So we started with a 4x4 image, and now we have a 400x400 image. The math here isn't too difficult: 4 x 100 = 400. So each of our red dots in the corners should now be 100x100 pixels each. Simple enough, right?
Unfortunately, this was not the case for me. The red dot in the upper-left corner is now 97x97 pixels. The red dot in the upper-right corner is now 103x97 pixels. The red dot in the lower-left corner is now 97x103 pixels. And the red dot in the lower-right corner is now 103x103 pixels.
I guess Photoshop seems to think that both of the following statements are simultaneously true:
1 x 100 = 97
1 x 100 = 103

Feb 2, 2009Is it possible to automatically resize "multiple" photos in Photoshop Elements 4 to 720 x 480 pixels, so that when the resized images are transferred to Premier Elements 2 and then burned onto a DVD the whole image(s) are seen on a TV screen?
Quite often I have found that I must manually resize the images so they fit into the safe margins but this can be a tedious process if there are a lot of photos.
