when i "SAVE FOR WEB" an images, on the preview screen to adjust the settings, the image is noticably lighter in tone. i have changed the settings in that screen to .gif, .png, and .jpg and no difference is seen.
I am trying to find a faster way to save my images. I shoot in raw, save raw images as jpegs after editing them in Camera Raw. I am using Photoshop CS6 on a Mac version 10.7.5. When I save, I either have to save as a copy of the exisiting image, or replace the image I'm working on. Other forums I've read said to make an action to save and create a function key to make this process faster, but my function keys aren't working, and playing the action I've created still makes a copy of the image.
I want to save this image as a circle to import into adobe after effects or magic unfortunately it save into a rectangle or square on my pc and so when I save it has the border and white bitsand if I import it into Magic the round football effect is lost is there anyway I can save this and import it into Magic or Adobe as a circle and not a square?
After saving my business card design as a .pdf, when I open it in acrobat it look wonky. All the lines are squiggly, when I zoom in it changes, sometimes it looks like it should other times it looks worse  Is this like in photoshop when you zoom in, sometimes it looks stairstepped and other times it looks like it should? I'm sending these to print and I want to make sure everything is good.
Level: Newbie'ish  OS: Win7 64bit  PS: CS6   I have been making a simple image of a 300 by 100 rounded rectangle and then adding various layer styles. Basically I am makeing mobile headers which will be used for mobile websites.  Today I was reviewing a few that I have made and noticed that when I open them in their .png format and then create a selection around one (Ctrl + Click) that the lower right coner is not being selected as rounded but as a point and so when I copy and then paste it into a new document it has three rounded corners and one somewhat visible pointed corner. ?? ??  The file has a BG layer and two shape layers (or sometimes just one shape layer). I select the layers and then merge them together and turn off the BG layer beofore I save them for the web. I have also tried just saving the file as a .png w/out merging the layers but no matter how I go about saving the file(s) most of the time one corner is saved w/that annoying and imperfect sharp corner.
I installed Photoshop CS6 extended full version on Mac Os 10.7.4. When I try to save an image as a tiff I get a .raw, if I choose jpg I get .dcm, for pdf .jcm and so on. I already deleted CS6 prefs.psp,
I try to save a .jpg or .png, the image file is corrupted. With JPEG's, it'll display most of the image, and then the rest will be just grayed out. With PNG's, I will get just a Red X in Internet Explorer, and a "image cannot be displayed because it contains errors." in Firefox.
I have some third-party presentation software that requires all images be 8-bit. So I used Photoshop for all photo editing and made sure my PSDs were 8-bit before exporting stills (PNGs) for my presentation. 50+ PNGs were successfully created this way, but i'm having problems with a single file. When I open the correct files in Windwos Pic/Fax View, right click, show properties, go to Summery (advanaced), all the correct files have a bit depth listed as 24.
My problematic PSD says it's in 8-bit, but the PNGs that I create from it are consistently listed as having 32 bit depth in Windows Pic/Fax View. As a test I exported other images formats (TIFFs, JPEGs, etc...) and they all came out as 32 bit depth. How do I fix this? I tried opening the PSD, saving as different name, switching to 16-bit and then back to 8-bit, still didn't work.
how to save an image in photoshop so I can open it in Illustrator? I want to the image to open with it's outline to be the image, and not the bounding box. I know it has to do with making a selection around the image in Photoshop, and making that selection into a path, but then I'm lost..
I tried to save a few pages as one PDF.But it was an epic fail. However, i must have cganged a vital setting, for now when i save PSD files to PDF, the image reduces massively in size, but the file size increases a lot. What have I done and how can i change it back?
My image in photoshop has thin lines, but when I save it, the jpeg shows the image with very thick dark lines, looking not like the image in photoshop. Why does it do this? How can I stop PS from doing this to my image? I want the image to look as it does in Photoshop when I save it as a Jpeg.
This is in Photoshop CS4
As it should be (using the snipping tool (I can't use the snipping tool as my only option, because it will only capture the size as it is on the screen, not the actual dimensions in Photoshop) Â Saved as a Jpeg; the lines are thicker, and now there is little variation in line weight.
I am using PS CS3. I would like to know if it is possible to save the edit history of a file - for example if I open a file I worked on a week ago I want to be able to find out what work had been done to it (eg levels, sharpening, curves etc). As far as I know, history is lost after a file is saved (in a flattened image).
I have a series of actions that copy a document, apply a colour profile, resize and then save as - so I can export as jpeg. These actions work individually but currently I have to enter a file name.
What I'd like to do be able to do is select an action which runs say three or four of those actions - say export at 600, 800, 1200 pixels dimension and also suffixes the file name with that number.. so IMG0001.JPG becomes IMG001_800.JPG, IMG001_1200.JPG etc etc.
try to save an image in IMAGE READY, I get this message:" Could not complete this operation because an assertion has failed" What's this? What can I do? Should I re-install Photoshop 7.0.1?
I have saved several hundred images from a jpg format to jpg for web, (optimized), but it loses it brilliancy to colors. I am using the Sharpen filter and Shadow/Highlight to edit the image. But it loses that little bit of edge once it goes to save for web.
I created a logo in photoshop. It has no background. When I save the logo in another format for use in other programs it saves a square white background. This is bad when i want to paste the logo ontop of an image. How do i save the logo without the white background?
When saving a file with a solid, dark blue background as a JPG in PS CS4, it's producing a very faint border around it. On a web page, it needs to blend into a background that has the same color as that of the JPG; but it shows the faint borders. It also shows it when saving the file as PNG-24. How do you get rid of the border? What's causing this?
I recently got a new computer. I use CS3 to edit. For some reason, whenever I resize the image, save it as a Jpeg and post it to the web, it loses image quality. Severely. I've never had this problem before....until this new computer. I usually resize the image to 800, then simply click on Save as Jpeg. Â
I am trying to save all the layers I have in my PSD file as separate layers in a folder that I created. I trying to do this by going to File- Scripts- Export Layers to Files but when I set it up and do this I get an error message saying:  "General Photoshop error occured. This functionality may not be available in this version of Photoshop. -The command "Duplicate" is not currently available."  I am not sure why this is saying "this version" considering I installed it not too long ago and the document has been made a few days ago meaning I never even used another version of photoshop. I have all the layers visible too and even selected them. I am using Photoshop CS6 by the way.
I have a png image, of 256x128 size. It has 8bits per pixel for color. Now this image's size is 97kB. I open it in photoshop, I save it as different png file, and then... this image is 7kB of size.
I have an image that is in grayscale and I need a table that displays each pixels grayscale value. Is there a way to save the image in some tabular format or can I convert it any other way in photoshop?
Saving an image in Photoshop CS6 as .eps is actually True Vector quality? Â Will the images I save as .eps be totally scaleable without losing any quality? Â If not, is there anything I can do to the (tons) of images I have already made to make them not lose quality? Â I tried opening a .eps file/image in Inkscape which as I understand is a vector program but the open file doesn't recognize the .eps files. Â The .eps seems file w/in Ps itself but now I'm wondering about other programs. I'm so new I don't even know if that makes an sense. Â Also, if Ps .eps files tend to lose scalable quality then is there a way in which I can create images as true vector or as images that won't lose their quality? Do I need an other program?
I'm watching a DVD on my computer through Windows MEdia PLayer, and was wondering why I cannot use Prnt Scrn then photoshop to save the image I captured? For some odd reason, it won't save, and sorta makes a 'window' out of photoshop, just leaving the video behind it.
I want to make an animated GIF in Adobe ImageReady and save it out as a .gif file. I've made the animation Ok, but when i go to 'saved optimized as' and select 'HTML and IMAGES', the HTML file works fine, but the .gif file will not open. I get an error message that reads: 'could not complete this operation because the file was not found.
I find that when i am working on a file and try to save as web, the colour on my screen is lighter than the colour that the image has when i am on the saving as web window. How do i get to have a consistent color in both my on screen image and the one i am saving?
This is specially true for photos, they look pale and skin tones are dull. I want images to have the windows RGB profile even when i am saving them as web images.
What I have is an alias bitmap (Not anti-alias bitmap) in Phtoshop, when I save it as psd format (photoshop format), the bitmap is preserved. But when I save it as gif or png or whatever, the bitmap become blurs around the edges, making the images be anti-alias bitmap. I don't want that. I want the images to continue to stay alias when saving it into jpeg or png or whatever.
