Photoshop CS6 the " save for web" function to save on a network location. This network location isn't available to me at this time and now when I want to "save for web" I get an error like " can't perform the job, system can't find the submitted path" (which isn't the exact error but translated from the dutch error: "Kon de bewerking niet voltooien. Het Systeem kan het opgegeven pad niet vinden."
View 4 RepliesI just upgraded to a new computer setup and installed Photoshop CC and well..... I can't figure out how to manipulate paths like in CS6.
On the left is a what path manipulation with anchor points looks like in CS6 on my old slow iMac, and on the right is the new CC with direction selection on, but instead I can't manipulate paths. How can I get it to work like CS6? Also, I know about the isolating layers thing, but that still doesn't let me manipulate certain anchor points.
why Command + . isn't allowed in CC as a hotkey?
I have a problem with CorelDraw X4, some tools like save, save as, copy, cut, export doesn't work.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI am trying to follow some directions and the call for a spline to be drawn onto an image. I can only find a polyline which doesnt work like I need it to. As I understand it a polyline will put a curved line as close as it can to a series of points, whereas a spline will "join the dots". I need to join the dots but with a curve not a jagged straight edge.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've just upgraded to Photoshop CS6, and did the update to v13.04. Get a message with Save for Web: "The operation could not be completed. A write permissions error has occurred." There is a bug fix for v12 for exactly this, but CS5.5 (not sure which version of 12 it was) worked fine on this machine. On a Macbook 17 inch running OSX 10.7.5 with 8gig Ram and 2.5 Ghz I7.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I have a PSD file, and try to save it, It will now let me save it as an JPG, CS5 did. Even after flattening the image, I often find it does not work instead of saving it as JGP as wanted, it PS changes it to IMG.
I have just had the same trouble trying to save to PDF, PS changed the extension to JPF, I eventually found a work around, jut kept ging down the list of files, until PS decided to add the PDF extension I was after.
I have tried to completely remove CS6 and re install it, no difference.

same thing with the connect two paths. holding the command key doesn't change the behavior of the pencil tool.i'm guessing there is no way of remapping the 'smooth tool' to option again? or was it moved to another hotkey?
I'm trying to use the gradient annotator on a compound path. Moving the sliders and rotating the annotator works fine, but if I double click a slider and change the color the annotator disappears and the color of the slider stays the same. It works fine on non compound paths.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThere is still an issue with making new actions that include saving for web. While recording the action, save for web functions as it should. But once the action is played, regardless of the original format the saved image should be, it gives it an html filename extension.

I have spoken about this bug with a friend that is a computer programmer. Considering that the action is saving the file correctly, and it's only the name that is not saving properly indicates that this is a superficial error, and not an issue that would require rewriting the code completely. Also consider that this WAS functioning properly in CS5, and that this is a very easily reproducible bug.
I have tried saving my project as a PDF so that I can send to different people and print, but no matter which PDF options I chose in Illustrator's final step for saving as PDF I end up getting a PDF with nothing on it! It turns up as a blank page. If I do get a visible PDF it stays that way for only a few minutes and prints out in reversed colours!! This is bissare. Some Preferences or something of mine are wack??
View 1 Replies View RelatedRunning Windows 7 Premium Home, Photoshop Elements 9. Due to a glitchy upgrade to SSD my computer ended up with a lot of duplicate files. I'd like to remove the ones PE is NOT using. To do that I need to know the file path for the images it does display. I can find the file names easily enough, but not the pathway to the ones it is using to avoid deleting them. I can find the pathway to the catalog, but due to past sins that may or may not be the path to each individual image.

The tab identifies that the image is opened, layers shows the image is open, however it is not on the screen. All tools, brushes etc work, but I can't see what they are doing. I can only see the image if i click the tab and move it around. Once my mouse lets go of the image window it dissapears again. After moving it around and such it gets buggy and the image crashes not Photoshop. i have attached two screen shots of my problem. the second with the image, i have my mouse clicked, held down holding onto the window to acheive this.

I get a message saying : "Failed to publish DWF file."
I use Photoshop LE 5.0, which has many of the BIG Photoshop features.
If I take a web page screenshot and turn it into greyscale and print that,
I still get some colors coming thru on the printout, even though it looks b/w on the screen.
Is this a common problem? Photoshop or Printer or Windows?
I have created a slide show in Image Ready and it functions correctly. Except.....when I put it on my web page in either Photoshop or Dreamweaver it doesn't work.

Using bridge to organize 150 images. Does it save an image order? I clicked the build and export cache option last night before leaving it, but this am it's reverted back to the order it wants to be in, which is the order it is in finder.

when i press before/after, LR5 only shows the version i did yesterday and the one from now, today, how can i see the unedited version of the image, which i imported last week?
Illustrator's Image Trace doesn't seem to work at all with large images. The attached image shows the following:
A) The original raster cropped tightly.
B) Converting the raster with default "Black and White Logo" settings. Results in 242 paths and 4792 anchors.
C) Adding a massive amount of white space and then converting the raster with default "Black and White Logo" settings. Results in 407 paths and 1620 anchors.
For whatever reason Illustrator can't seem to handle large images. This test shows it's not an issue with the image being too complex since all I've done is add white space and the file was saved without compression so there should be no noise.
This type of glitch started with CS6 with the new Image Trace tool. Maybe setting Image Trace into legacy mode?
I'm having trouble importing images in Illustrator CS6. Dragging from finder doesn't work, nor does the "place" option. When opening an image in illustrator, all i get is a blank document.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm trying about 8 hours to convert a Photoshop shape in to a working path in order to put a brush border around it. I don't understand why the "stroke path with brush" is grayed out and not usable directly on the shape path itself.
"Load path from selection" is not an option because it deforms my path.
Trying to edit and save this file fails silently, because Photo-PAINT does get confused by a file name like this: "filename.morename.extension". Nothing gets saved.
The actual file name taken from my example file is: "Flag_of_Germany.svg.png".

Number two on my list behind your fantastic new layer functionality that I had been dreaming about for three years. I NEVER close PDN. The ONLY time it closes is once every week or two when the 20, 30, 50 tabs that I have open, finally overwhelm my system. I bounce back and forth so much that there is no way to continuously save them as I make changes cause it would jack up my workflow by taking up too much time.
No way around it, this is just how I work. It would be lovely if PDN was able to, similar to After Effects, popup an error box saying it was about to crash and did 'you" want to save the session. Especially, now, with 4, as while it is a super duper version upgrade, the crashes were daily, with me, and I couldn't keep losing that much data. Sophie's choice, for me. The old layer window or daily crashes.
using ACAD LT 2012. If he opens a DWG file from a Sharepoint site, makes some changes to the drawing and then SAVES the file, his changes are NOT saved and there is no indication that they were not saved. Needless to say this is critical.
