Were can I change the "color saturation" to use for my "color changer"?
Question #2.
When using "point-to-point" or "edge seeker", is there a way to go back one or two steps, without having to start all over again?

View 3 Replies View RelatedHow to make the printer profiles made by the COLOR MUNKI PHOTO work in PSPX4?
I have tried a lot of different settings in the Color Management of PSP X4, in the Color Management of Windows (Win 7), and in the Printer Driver (Epson Stylus NX300), all with no success.
I also have problems when trying to SOFT PROOF these profiles in PSPX4: what I get is an unusable image covered with a deep fog, an image that is far from what is printed. And I know these printer profiles are good because they work correctly in Photoshop Elements 10.
I'm testing the trial of X4, and it opens in an unpleasant window which has a dark gray background - is it possible to change the color of this background?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have seen people change the color of a models' outfit but cannot figure out how to do it.
The shading and gradation (perhaps not the correct terms) stays in the new color. For instance, a swimsuit still has shadows and simple texture from one color to the next. Curtains would have the same light hitting the new color.

I have been trying to use the color select/erase feature in Xara P&GD9 (version 9.1.1.28178) on my Windows 7 64-bit computer. I can use this feature to change the appearance of the sky in a photo -- for example, to change it from something drab to an attractive blue. I've now tried to do this in several versions of two photos, and I've been completely unsuccessful. Following the instructions, I first used the color select/erase tool and clicked on the sky in several places to erase it. I then clicked on the Make Soft Mask button and saw that everything but the sky was now pink. I then went to Enhance in the Photo Tool and selected the Hue control. But no matter where or how much I changed the Hue and/or the strength, nothing happened. I was left with the same drab sky I started with. I've tried to show what I've done with four thumbnails.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to use the paint brush for editing a photo I have, but the only color available is black. No matter where I've looked in PSP, there was no option to change the color of the paint brush. I've read online that you need to change the pallet to material pallet, then go to "Foreground & Stroke Properties" and set the color box to the color I want, but the only colors I get are different hues of black and gray.
Even in Paint it's just a matter of clicking the desired color to use different colors. Why isn't it so simple in PSP?

I'm exporting Tiff Prophoto files from Lightroom into PSPX4 for further processing. The images are 1 to 2 stops under exposed when compared to Lightroom's image.I have selected PSPX4 color profile to match LR export color space.
I have tried exporting the Tiffs as sRGB and adode1998 and still the images are under exposed. I have little knowledge about color management and have searched around the web for possible answers, but no luck.
For family history purposes, wish to improve the legibility of some hand written 1930 telegrams; the ink has faded with time so I want to change its colour to black. The form printing has not faded.
The user guide draws attention to the fact that the color selected for replacement must be in the image. Using the Dropper tool with sample size 1 pixel I position the dropper where I want it, see the color in the preview window, then right-click and the selected color appears in the background window on the Materials panel. So far, so good. I then place the Dropper tool over black in the swatch on the Materials panel, click and black appears in the Foreground window of the Materials panel. I think I'm set.
When I select the Color Replacer tool the background window immediately reverts to another color, usually white.Incidentally, the user guide suggests you read up on selecting colors with the Dropper; when you do this you learn that its OK to pick colors from the Materials panel.
I'm an XP user and i just got PSE 4.0. I'm kind of a noob at it and really dont know much about Photoshop.
