Were need to invest in an archival printer. We need to be able to print archival prints and also strip prints. Example size would be 10X30. Nothing over an 11X14 size on standard sizes. So any recommendations? I was looking at the Epson r2400 but wasn’t to sure on just how long of a print it can print.
I am printing out several images for relatives in 4x6 size. The prints are only half height (landscape mode).Using Photoshop Elements works okay.I normally print on an Epson r1900 and everything there prints out well.Either automatic or setting to dimensions in the print menu makes no difference.Image size reports correctly.
We downloAded pics from walmart picture CDs edited them. Burnt the images to new DVDs tried to use them in the machines at walmart. To print machines don't read CDs.
I want to print multiple documents with a duplex printer, so I need to set the order in which the documents are sent to the printer. In the Print dialog box, when I select "Documents" in the "Print range", I can select the documents to print, but I cannot set the order in which they're printed. I appears that the order is in reverse alphabetical (how logical!). As far as I can tell, the only way to determine the order is to rename the files (using Save As). Interestingly, if I "Save As" a pdf or "Publish to PDF", the documents are in the order in which they were loaded or created.
If you're going to offer the ability to print or export multiple documents as a single file, it seems that there should be some way to order the documents first.
I have an Epson Artisan 725 AiO printer. I have been trying to acquire an image from the scanner on this machine. It is a TWAIN scanner. When I try to select the source, the TWAIN option is grayed-out and will not allow to be selected. My question is: Why is this option grayed-out. Does Corel X6 64 bit support TWAIN scanners?Â
How to make the printer profiles made by the COLOR MUNKI PHOTO work in PSPX4?
I have tried a lot of different settings in the Color Management of PSP X4, in the Color Management of Windows (Win 7), and in the Printer Driver (Epson Stylus NX300), all with no success.
I also have problems when trying to SOFT PROOF these profiles in PSPX4: what I get is an unusable image covered with a deep fog, an image that is far from what is printed. And I know these printer profiles are good because they work correctly in Photoshop Elements 10.
I'm currently using AutoCad Electrical 2010 and we just got a new printer. Is there any way to map all of my electrical drawngs to that printer without opening each drawing and selecting the new printer?
how to change the printer associated with PSP or add another printer? I have 2 printers installed on Windows7 but the only one I get when I try to print from PSP is the wide format printer & no option to add another. Is printing from Windows Photo Viewer my only option?
I tried an HP Office Jet All in One and it refuses communication with Photoshop. Even Adobe help couldn't change that. When I had to switch to an LCD, the printer just couldn't reproduce the intensity of what I was creating on screen. I'd welcome opinions and experiences with brands that work well with the strong LCD screen images (-I'd LOVE a WYSIWYG ) and one that is Vista compatible. I've looked at Epson, Canon and HP and have worries about all of them which have to be resolved SOON. Majority of my work is with photos of all sizes to 13X19"
I have run CS3 for many years on many platforms with two different printers. I upgraded my computer and operating system (basic specs listed below) in January of this year, 2012, and I decided to pare down to one printer: my Epson Stylus Photo R2880, which has been working with it splendidly until this past Friday, 5/4/12. I suddenly started getting the not responding issue when I attempted to open files in not just Photoshop, but my Acrobat as well. I have not updated any drivers in the month of May and I could still use all of my non-adobe software just fine. I looked online and found that it was a known issue. I reset my preferences, I ran a windows de fragment, I swept for spyware, and none of those worked. I set adobe pdf as the default printer for my computer and the "issue was resolved."
The problem remains that when I go into my print dialogue and manually change the target printer to my Epson I cannot print out of any of my Adobe software the not responding issue reasserts itself if any adobe software attempts to communicate with my printer: word, text files, windows viewer and the internet still print just fine off of the Epson. This is a huge problem for me because I run a small home publishing company and I can no longer PRINT out of my work software. Extremely frustrated that this 'fix' is no fix at all for my needs. I am at an utter loss for what to do to have a working office again and would like getting software that has been working perfectly in multiple set ups with multiple printers for since 2009 to work again? Â I used to run CS3 on a custom built XP SP3 system with an hp printer, then with and hp and Epson printer. This year I switched to my current system, wiping the old drive as a backup disk and adding a 1T hard drive to hold win 7. It has worked fine for several months of heavy use for my website, greeting cards, and small comic publications. I need this set up to work again or I will go out of business,
Windows 7 Professional service pack 1 Intel Core 1.7-2600K CPU @ 3.4Ghz/3/7Ghz 16 GB memory 64 bit Pen Input Activated (wacom intuos 3) "Windows Experience Index" rating claims it's '5.9' - whatever that means
All of a sudden, when I try to print from Photoshop CS6, I get a message that says my printer is not online. If I load the photo to another program I have no problem printing.Â
My grandson was using my Photoshop and may have changed some setting, but which settings!
PRODUCT: ps cs5 printer: epson profession v500 photo scanner. VERSION: 12.0 os: mac os 10.8.2 (64 bit) Â Printer not getting detected: Â Solution: run Photoshop CS5 in 32-bit mode:
1. Quit Photoshop CS5.
2. Navigate to Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS5 folder.
3. Select the Adobe Photoshop CS5 application file.
Any new Photoshop documents printed to the new printer comes out in characters instead of the image. We are using an Intel based Mac book running 10.5.8 Leopard and have done all the updates to the computer as well as the firmware update to the printer. The printer shows that is a postscript printer.
I have recently started using a printer profile (Epson photo 1270). My query is this. I take a picture with my camera (Canon 10D), which when viewed on my monitor in ACDsee looks about right, colors ok, just needs a few touches here and there maybe. I then open it in Photoshop using the printer profile and the pictures looks very different. Now I realise what is happening but I am having great trouble adjusting the picture back to how it looked originally(which I was fairly happy with). I also know that if I can adjust the picture to how it looked it will print out almost identical to how it looks on the screen, so that is ok. It just takes a lot of time to do this using the Photoshop tools, and it is so hit and miss to try and put it right and get back to the original colors etc. Is there a shortcut that can be used, using the color values from the original view before it was opened in Photoshop or something like that? It just seems a lot of work for every individual photograph I may want to print out. I can compare the two views of the same photograph by having Photoshop and ACDsee open together.
I find that working with a picture I get different colors etc. from my printer (Cannon MP 800) than what I wanted from what I am working with on my monitor. I know monitors and printers see and show different colors etc.
I have tried reinstalling the printer driver, making sure it's the default, testing the printer using it's own software test, tried the Duplicate layer suggestion and none of them work. I need this printer to work pronto so I'll try Lightroom.
I am running under XP SP3 with Photoshop CS3 version 10.0.1 with an Epson R2400. All of the profiles are present in windows/system32/spool/drivers/color, but are not listed in Photoshop's printer profile list. Everything was working fine as recently as 3-4 weeks ago, and everything is still working fine in CS2 which is also installed on this machine (3.7gig processor with 1gig ram) and several large hard drives).
I noticed the problem after installing SP3 today, but the problem remained after I restored a Ghost image created just prior to the SP3 update. Thus, it seems not to be caused by SP3. I have reinstalled SP3 based on that conclusion.
The only items on the printer profile list look like things that ship with Photoshop such as Apple RGB.
I am getting the following dialoge box when trying to print in PSCS4 to my Epson 3800, Vista 64. This is a new problem. "Before you can perform printer-related tasks such a s page setup or printing a document, you need to install a printer." I have installed and reinstalled the Epson twice now, I have tried printing to PDF as well as the generic Windows printer driver. PS is updated. I can print from Illustrator and Acrobat, as well as Office, ect. The problem is only PS. I have Vista 64 and PS 64 on a laptop and I can print to the Epson just fine. What is going on with my tower? update: even more curious is that I can create a new document and PS DOES see the printer just fine.
Is there a way in PS to permanently attach a bleed and cut marks to a psd or tiff image? I've found how to do this via the print dialog box but it doesn't appear to save the info back to the master file.
i need a logo with a printer icon on it. i got the text ready. and i also got a printer icon for the logo. but i would like to make some changes to it. as i have very little skills in photoshop i turn to u guys.
the printer icon is in Wingdings2 font and is character '6'. The colors i would like to be used are: #FFBF2B and #55746F. i used #55746F for the printer and #FFBF2B for the paper, but feel free to change this. also if u have a better icon of a printer or something u can use that if u wish.
I'm trying to create a file that my printer can use. I am trying to have some door hangers printed. They are black & white and one color (reflex blue).
The image I am working on is in CMYK mode, the printer said to only have black and 100% cyan in the file and save it to PDF to send to him. I've got everything figured out but my logo. The printer said the logo has to be in grayscale, because right now the file I send to him the logo is making it a 4 color job.
The logo is a separate file so I have been just opening it and dragging it into the door hanger image. I first change it to grayscale using Image/Mode/grayscale, but when I drag it into the door hanger file it somehow changes the logo image into parts of C, Y, M and black.

I've recently installed the CS4 upgrade (64bit) on my new Vista machine and have come to start printing pages from a catalogue I produce when File>Print comes up with the message 'to use this feature you need a printer installed (obviously). The bizarre thing is that I have installed one that every other App on my machine uses to print from - is this a common problem - I can't find out much about this on the web - I was just wondering if there was a simple solution or whether I'm being completely dum about a simple setting?
I am designing a business card that has lime green as a main color, and I am finding it impossible to find a commercial printer that will print in RGB! I completely understand the difference between the 2 color pallets I just don't understand why I can not find one printer that will print RGB! So does that mean any business card I ever do can never have bright colors?
I'm on a Mac, I have three printers, and I want to use one in particular for a PS printing task. I fill up the printer with the right paper, then call up the file and hit "print", forgetting to notice that the assigned printer is the wrong one. So a wasted proof. So I go to Sys Prefs and set the "default" printer to the one I want, go back to PS, pick the file, hit print, and I still get the wrong printer, so I set the print dialogue box for the right one manually, get the print, call up another file, and hit print again. The Print dialogue box has reset back to the wrong printer. Photoshop seems to have its own "default" printer selection system, independent of the overall system preferences. How the heck do I get PS to recognize and use the "default" printer, rather than settling on its own random choice?
I just bought an Epson WF-7520. When try to print out a 13 x 19" image it stretches it by 1/4" in height and 1/2" in length. It's a case of what see it NOT what get. Epson couldn't favor.
Just bought a new iMac with OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2). Installed my HP PhotoSmart C4180 printer and its drivers, it prints fine from Adobe Acrobat and scans just fine. I went to print from Photoshop CS5, and once I decided my settings and hit "Print" the program crashed and has done so consistently. I've provided the crash report below. File settings have been moved to the printer settings. Each time I go to printer settings and specify the paper (heavy glossy in this case) and/or number of pages to print...
I get only one page printed. Each time must reprint AND reset the paper type.
Settings are NOT remembered as Adobe says after clicking either the Done or Print button.
