I found that photoshop has onion-skinning for animation in photoshop. The problem is, is that I don't know how to open it up it's greyed out when I open the timeline panel and when I switch to frame-by-frame animation its gone. I don't know how to enable it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just watched an Adobe TV video by Julianne Kost about video features in PS CS6.At one point she converts a video clip into a Smart Object in order to apply a PS filter, but when I do this, the entire Filters menu is grayed out.
The mp4 clip plays normally in the Timeline otherwise.
The layers panel stays grayed out and won't allow me to add any layers to the background.
I am new to Elements 12.
create a short animation of the model rotating in 3-D space by using keyframes in the timeline panel.
1. I cannot drag the end of the layer to the right in order to increase the duration of my animation. The layer seems to be locked at 15 frames in length. How do I increase the duration of my 3-D layer so I can create a longer animation?
2. The bounding box for the model extends very far into z-space (much further than nesscessary to simply contain the model) which is making the object difficult to maniputale. How do I change the dimensions of the bounding box to more easily manipulate this model?
I'm trying out the new Photoshop Creative Cloud, and probably the most annoying thing is that the animation panel always opens up and covers up things / gets in the way at start or whenever I open a new file.

I've sort of accepted it until now, but recently I wanted to try some hand-drawn animation. As you can see this a significant speed bump. How to restore/reopen that portion of Photoshop, or am I just crazy in thinking CS4 ever had it to begin with?

A couple of weeks ago I noticed that the links to Photoshop from Lightroom were all grayed out. for example when I right click on an image and select "Open With," it and all of the rest of the links to Photoshop are grayed out and inaccessable. I have been using Photoshop since v2 ansd Lightroom since v1. My operating system in Win 7.
Uninstall and reinstall Photoshop to reestablish the links. I spent about two hours doing that yesterday. when I was done the links were back and functional. I left the compluter on all night to make sure everything was backed up. This morning I opened Lightroom (64bit) and attempted to open an image in Photoshop for editing. All of the links were grayed out again.
So today I uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom.
I have some very long movies and want to insert some short parts of it in the timeline.So i open the movie in the footage panel mark in and out point and press ovelay insert to insert this part in the timeline.Next time i open the same movie in the footage panel to mark the next part i want to insert in the timeleine, my timeline playhead jumps to the time where my playhead of the footage panel is in this clip. is it possible to unlink the footage panel and the Timeline?

Installation via Extension Manager goes normally.When I open the Kwik 2 panel, I see it try to open it's SWF UI, but after a few seconds I get the twirling colorful ball, and photoshop stops responding. Only option is to force quit.
I created a new user on this machine to try to narrow things down. When I log in as that other user, everything works, Kwik 2 plugin panel opens normally and I can work with the plugin.I'm trying to figure out how I can troubleshoot this. I can't seem to find any place where Photoshop creates logs in situations like this.Apparently, something is being loaded (or not loaded) when I log in with my normal username.
I occasionally use GIMP to burn-down parts of portraits that compete with the face. For example, bare shoulder, midriff over-light, hands over-lit.
The skin ends up looking greyish, not like less-lit skin. It works not too badly visually, as the emphasis is on the face, but fails on inspection.
I have tried the burn tool and just plain old Brightness, both on a selected area.
Why are the icons in layer panel not accessible when I open a photo to edit in PSE 11? I want to make another layer and I can not.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently started working with Illustrator CS6, and noticed that the Transform option panel in the top tool bar is listed as a word, which i need to click on in order to access the x/y coordinates and the object height and width values. I was wondering if there was a way to set this toolbar so that these options are locked in the tool bar so that i don't need to always click on the word to expand it out. I have included a screenshot of the tool bar as it exists. Also the align options are set up in this way as well.
I also included a screenshot of the same tools in Indesign to give an idea of what i'm looking for, where everything is expanded out.

I`m in assembly and I push a create button. Then I give it a name and OK. Then I push a plane where I want to make the part. New sketch comes but no sketch panel. I have to push right button from mouse and click finish sketch. Then when I go edit sketch the sketch panel comes like it suppose it to be.
Open Effects>Stylise>Rounded Corners, Turn on Preview (BTW how do I make PREVIEW ON! as the default for all effects panels/windows?)Now I want to Hide the Bounding Box and the Edges... but those shortcuts are now inoperable.
Photoshop allows me to hide bounding box, and the rulers, I think, when having an effect window open, why does Illustrator not permit this?Is there an alternative other than canceling out and starting again with the view qualities changed?
Seems needlessly long winded to cut off these shortcuts just because an effects settings window/panel is open.
If I have a symbol with its own timeline, I am familiar with targeting it with otehr elements and symbols and activating that timeline. But the symbol will also have a presence on the stage timeline - how does one play that?
I might be overcomplicating it, I thought it might just be play() on the main stage but that doesn't appear to work, neither does getStage.play() so I am doing something wrong somewhere
Ive created a box, turned it into a symbol called box,Inside box i have a left to right animation with auto play turned off.I then went back to the main stage, clicked the box, added action, on click to play, yet it does nothing.How do i Play the symbols timeline?
