When using the image size dialog, regardless of the zoom amount or the size of the dialog I have no ability to pan around the image in the preview window.I have the hand available to me and clicking on the preview shows before and after variations but no panning. The main image behind the dialog does pan whenever I try panning in the preview window.
USING MAC, CS 5.5: When I open the image size dialog box -- as well as the canvas size box -- for any file; new or existing, and try to change the size, the box either won't let me change the number, or it closes out. Doesn't scrash the app; just refuses to cooperate.
Some paper companies have released a new paper size-9x13. Â I find this excellant for fireworks and certain architecture prints. Â Problem is that in CS6 I cannot adjust Set Up dialog to get entire paper printed correctly. The printer(both Canon's 9000mkii/9500mkii)Â always have a border. Red River(the paper I use) sez use 8x12 but there is no 8x12 setting. Â the paper size in the CS6 Print menu (PS Manages Color) so the copy is inked 100%?
If I change the size of, say, the "file open" box, and shut it down, then open it again, it goes back to the default small size. Is there a setting that I can change so that the dialog box size stay's to my selected size?
I'm using AutoCAD Architecture 2012 and Windows 7 Professional x64. Is there a way to change the default sizes of various dialog boxes? When I use the File Open dialog box, for example, I always want it to be bigger so I drag the corner to enlarge it, but the next time I call it it's back to the same default size. Can I drag it to a new size and make that stick, a variable set differently perhaps, or is something more sophisticated involved?
I have tried to create Actions that involve creating a new file for use as a displacement map. When you copy your original then hit cmd+N (ctrl+N in his case), the NEW picture dialog comes up with the size of the new document preset to be the same size as the picture in the clipboard.
The problem is that the Action records that size as the new document size, instead of getting a new value from the clipboard every time. That creates problems when running the action on a cropped or non-standard sized originals. The 'NEW' dialog box should include, in addition to the many preset sizes, a CLIPBOARD option that would be scriptable.
It happens to me about 50 % of all time when I'm using the Paper Size dialog to crop an image:
No matter which alignment I select in the Placement drop-down box, PhotoPAINT uses the opposite direction.
This doesn't always happen, but it happens about every second time I use that dialog (and I use it often). It seems the error occurs randomly, probably not initializing some internal program memory location correctly.

I thought that I would take a shot at a possible reason why cropping with the paper size dialog would give different results which appear to be random.Â
1. The dialog opens with the programmer assuming the user will make the paper size larger than the image. He takes the difference between the paper size’s lower right corner and the image’s lower right corner and subtracts the two. That’s a positive number since the paper size is larger than the image. It’s added to all pixel positions in the image which brings the image to the lower right corner of the paper.
2. Now consider what will happen if the paper size is smaller than the image.
Scenario 1: The user picks paper size before position. The difference between the lower right corners is now a negative number. Using negative numbers to reorder the image pixels will incorrectly display the upper right corner of the image in the canvas.
Scenario 2. The user picks position before paper size. The lower right corners of the image and paper are set equal. Reducing the paper size now leaves the lower right corner of the image to be displayed.  Thus the display of the corner of the image appears to be random. However, it’s following the orders given by the user. Without doubt, there are other possible scenarios for this behavior.
Is there are way to make the size of this dynamic, So you can drag it wider and taller, There are other boxes that seem to be frozen in size. I use this with many custom fields and it's difficult to enter data when you see what your doing.
when I right click Parts List entry in prospector (Pipe Network) the Network Parts List dialog box appears. I then, as instructed, right-click on the parts list entry and add part family which appears under parts list heading (PVC) upon expanding. Right-clicking PVC and selecting "Add part size" brings up an empty Part Size Creator dialog box.
Additionally, as the book states, I navigate to the htm file that you should be ablr=e to view the parts in and my browser window is blank except for the 2 frames. This is in c:Program Data....enuPipes CatalogUS Imperial Pipes.

I need to increase the size of a fixed dialog box so I do not have to use the horizontal and vertical scroll bars to see the contents, I have included a picture.
Im trying to create an action where I move image folder onto a droplet, which is image processor script and have all psd files turned to images. However, each time I get the dialog box asking me input/output folder information and so on... Is there are way to suppress this popup? I'm trying to automate as much as possible, including not having to click the same button in a box each time .
For the image dialog box, it will not allow me to choose pixels, even though my document is a pixel sized document. I tried going to the Units & Increments settings, but nothing there changed it. Â As seen on this image: [URL] ..........
Among about a dozen ACAD users in my office, one is missing the "Arch D (landscape)" paper size that accompanies the PC3 file we generally use. I have checked that the roll size and other settings in the machine in question and all of that looks good. I don't want to edit this PC3 as it works for everyone else and don't want to create a new PC3 for this one user.Â
We had a possibility to see images preview in Open File dialog window of Photoshop CS5 but in new CS6 version there is not such possibility. Should I forget about that nice option and use Mini Bridge?
Having problems with the updated new file dialog and I'm not talking personal problems. I switched it to detail view and widened up the name column so I could see the whole name. I could actually live with that setup however the next time I opened the new file dialog all the columns returned to their default size and the sort also reverted.
Is it just me or does the new file dialog not remember any changes to it's layout?
I am trying to create some images in PS2 that have to be 3.5 to 4.0 mb. When viewing the Image Size screen, I might see an image size of 9.6 mb. However, when I save the image and run my mouse over the image in Bridge, it shows a size between 2 to 3 mb. I can't figure out why this discrepancy, or what math I need to do in order to figure out how to create the required image size other than by trial and error.
I have CS5.1 on a Macbook Pro.I have an incredibly frustrating problem.   I've seen similar questions, but not an answer that has resolved this for me. I have an image I have sized to fit an 8.5 x 11 inch paper. Canvas and image size all indicate my image is sized at 7.33 x 11 inches. It is at 300 dpi. Print size view indicates full space is utilized on either side….BUT…  When I go to print, I click "scale to fit media" (which is an 8.5 x 11 paper sitting in printer) image prints smaller with a bar on one side. . When I uncheck STFM, I get: scale - 92.67%,
I have a created a new PSD that is 8 1/2 x 11.The canvas size is the same 8 1/2 x 11.I want to put a border around the picture (say 1/2 of an inch all around), and put the finished picture in a Picture frame. After it is in the frame, you would be able to see the entire picture plus the border. Q. Should I change (reduce image size) of the PSD to (for this example), 8 x 10 1/2.     Then increase the canvas size to 8 1/2 x 11. After I increased the canvas size, do a Paint Bucket fill with white (to create the White border)? then print the changed size PSD on 8 1/2 x 11 paper so that it will fit into a 8 1/2 x 11 picture frame I realize I could have just created the new PSD to be 8 x 10 1/2 in the first place.
When I save a file to jpeg the image size in photoshop remains the same as it was as a tiff file BUT according to the information that comes up in windows properties the file is much smaller (300k vs 2.9mg).  Can you advise me which is the correct file size?  If the correct size is the one showing in windows (300K) does mean that the file compressed in JPG and lost a lot of information?
and if this is the case how can I prevent that from happening and still save the file as a JPG?  [ I would like the image to remain the size photoshop shows it to be] . Thank you very much.
I've installed PS CC and have an AMD Radeon HD 7970M card in my laptop. PS detects the card in Preferences and I'm able to choose it for acceleration (i.e. OpenCL, etc.). Â When I try and go Filter -> Liquify on any image, the Liquify dialog pops up, but i don't see the image. All I see is a black in the dialog. Â When I turn off acceleration, and go to Liquify, it works.
can a watermark stay the same size even when an image size is altered? say if its text and it gets too big when i enlarge the image how do i shrink the watermark ? when it is already merged and flattened as one picture without a separate layer.
such as a php or java script to keep the watermark distinct in a way even in a flattened pic or to select the watermark to erase it and re-apply it in the right font size back onto the resized pic?
I was just wondering why flick-panning stopped working....until I found out that if the option to move all open images (in the options bar of the hand-tool....don`t know the exact wording, because I have a german version) is on, flick-pannig does not work.
