Photoshop :: Newbie Question About Image Conatain Texts
Mar 18, 2008
I have many catalogs exist in the form of image files, my task is translate these catalog into my country language, so I want to ask, can Photoshop recognizes texts in image and has for me some ways to replace them by my texts ?
Often I'm zoomed in, editing pixels up close, and I'd like to zoom out to 100% again periodically to check how it looks. What's the best way of doing this?
Hi I placed some advertisments into a black-and-white (greyscale) newspaper. The ads were previously scanned images and I received them as high-resolution .JPG's. I don't have access to the original files. When they printed, some of the ads were not as vivid as I wanted. I opened them up in Photoshop and found out that the blacks are not 100% black. Some were 90%, some as low as 40%. They looked fine on my monitor and on the laser printer proofs, but on newsprint they were not dark enough. I want to increase the blacks to 100%. I'm a Photoshop newbie, so the only solution I can come up with is to open each of these ads and use the curves tool to manually pull all of the blacks up to 100% while leaving the white part of the spectrum alone. I'm not sure I'm using the curves tool correctly. Not to belabor the point, but here some screen shots of before and after. BEFORE: AFTER:If you look carefully, you can see the curves. Bassically I pulled up all of the curve to 100 percent black and just left the leftmost point where it is(which I assume is the white part of the spectrum). Is this the best approach for doing what I want to do? Thanks.
I'm not sure to explain this but I have a "S" shape path with texts on it. The problem was the base of the texts snap to the right side and I want it to snap it to the lelft side of the path. How do I do this in Photoshop CS4?
I am trying to create a tag/watermark to use in Lightroom. Everytime I try to create the backgroung to be transparent when I export it as a JPG it adds a white background? How do I export transparent images/text?
I have a logo consisting of four (4) text elements (see attachment) that I would like to be able to create through an action. The problem I'm having is that the document is not always the same size and PS sees percentages for text placement. I need to have the text placed in relation to each other regardless of the documents size.
I have Photoshop 7.0 I need to be able to write texts in Hebrew. I have Hebrew fonts on my computer but when I try to use them I get Latin letters instead.
I want to fade a text layer with bevel, gradient overlay, and stroke, and mask only seems to fade the gradient, not the original text color, so it doesn't blend with the bg. I can't use gradient overlay for fade either because I'm already using it and it won't fade the stroke anyway.
I have received a drawing from an external source where there appears to be duplicates of various texts.
If I check the properties of the texts individually it appears the text is say P14, if I select both texts and list properties the result is varies. I have never seen this before and I would like to know how to get both texts to be the same.
The goal is to prepare maps of a water supply network. The pipes are polylines with parameters on OD Tabels. On Display Manager, i'm creating a style based on text in order to display the diameter of each pipe.So far so good. The problem is to find out how to place the text entities in a more intuitive position, that is, near the middle point of the polyline, with the correct angle.
On the "Position" and "Rotation" properties of the text style, what should i define in order tho achieve this? The ".labelpt, .Center, .X1Y1..." options do not produce the desired results.
I’m wondering if there is a way to align texts in the AutoCAD with no work around. For example, in the ArcGIS we can select the texts and force the alignment.
Sure, in the AutoCAD, I can force the text to have the same x-coordinate to align them or other kind of work around, but why we don’t have this as a command like what we have in the ArcGIS?
is there way to Fill letters of texts individually?
So for example if there is a word "HELLO", applying a linear-simple-fade fill from H to O, it handles the whole text as one. So first character is the most and the last one is the less faded.Could be done that individually the H-E-L-L-O five characters get the fade?
I was exporting to the pdf many times sending artwork to the printers but now I don't know what to do.The file is 18x3 foot scale 1x1 and it is extremely simple. When I export to the pdf I got file: pls download which is white
Why the texts that have the same "Textstyle" don’t change as the settings of the style change?
For example, suppose that particular texts have the T1 as text style. Then why if we change the value of “paper text height” of the T1 then the texts (that belong to this style) don’t respond?
At the same time, this behavior is valid pertaining the dimension style, i.e, if we change the text height of the dimension style then the dimension text responds and is changed!
As Topic explains, just realized ( to my embarrasment ) that I have just done every text in an entire drawing with text style "standard" instead of our own "ETR".
There is no difference in font/height/width or anything, reason I need to change it is because we need to send our drawing to our client in .dwg format and he will then copy everything we've done on the drawing and import it into his own drawing. Problem is if he doesn't use the same font as standard style as we do our text might be dislocated in some places.
Problem is many of my texts are attributes within blocks and they need to change too. Any quick and smart way to change every text and attribute on the drawing, nested or not to another textstyle?
I wan't to export a DWG-file with texts to a sqllite database to be used i MapGuide. The export is successfull but I can't get the rotation of texts to work properly - all the texts are horizontally aligned and not rotated. For example, the ROTATION field of a text in the sqllite database has the value 4.8376865658545531 - in the DWG the rotation property is 192.0233g - but when using the ROTATION field as the value for Rotation in the style label it isn't being rotated.
I have a HUGE Xara file that is becoming very slow. And it turns out that the reason for this is that at some point, many edits ago, I accidentally must have pasted the same thing multiple times!
i.e. I currently have: text-shape-text-shape-text-shape-text-shape-text-shape-text-shape-text-shape-text-shape-text-shape-text-shape-text-shape etc all on the same layer.
The problem is that there are a large number (about 100) of items. Any good way or removing the (hidden) duplications of texts and shapes ?
I have access to a Map of a town. I would like to isolate a certain area of the town and make it bigger on the same page. But not let it link together, that way I can get some demensions in, delete some lines and texts which will not effect the overall map itself. I would just solely like to manipulate the blown up portion.
I am trying to make the warp effect of the texts from postcards. A perfect tutorial for this is here. However i it is for photoshop and i am having difficulty trying to mimic this using gimp. i come very close. but each step is slightly off.
Basically we have a number of different procedures that need to be written in each drawing. Usually we type it out every time which is a pain or copy paste. Is there any way to have 5 or so pre made text blocks to pick which to insert onto different types of drawings but that can be global used across a few systems?  We have a small group of workers all on the vault server.Â
